This is a great place to stop when traveling to Florida for us. The food was an absolutely pleasant surprise.Servers were a delight.Easy access to I 75 and some really good motels in the area.
11 a.m. - 7 p.m. happy hour? Who heard of such a thing? But I will not argue, especially since my family was particulary lax in the cooking dept. on Christmas eve and this was the only place open. (Note to domino's: please update your online ordering site when you will be closed! We waited an hour for a pizza that would never arrive!) Anyway, Aubrey's was pretty dang good, and my sister and bro in law order from here all the time. Each time I've been, I've ordered the 4-veggie dinner and you can't beat their mac n cheese and parmesan spinach. And, the wait staff is super friendly. Please go here instead of the Ruby Tuesday's down the street. Yum.
I don't know if this place is a chain or not but it seemed like it probably was. I tried the chicken finger appetizers as well as the creamed spinach and artichoke dip appetizer with the center cut filet mignon as my entree. The appetizers were passable, not blowing my mind but not disappointing either. The flaky batter on the chicken was nice and light while giving it good flavor and a decent crispness to it. The cesar salad that I had before the entree was so-so. Real light on everything. Completely forgettable. The steak I ordered bloody rare but when I received it it was closer to medium rare, but the very center of the thick cut was red to my satisfaction. I've had better cuts of meat but it wasn't bad. I would say in a pinch Aubrey's is perfectly fine.
