The other reviewers' experiences are consistent with ours, so I'll be brief.
-a lovely, clean, charming and cozy place to stay in McMinville
-quiet neighborhood that is a very pleasant leisurely 10 minute walk to McMinville's historic district
-Liz and Jacques are PERFECT hosts, offering privacy when you want it yet anticipating and meeting your every need with a genuinely friendly and welcoming manner.
-Everybody is correct. You won't find a better breakfast anywhere. A VERY memorable meal. Merci, Jacques!
It is clear why this B&B has such a faithful following. We look forward to our next stay. -

Everything you could want in a bed and breakfast -- including privacy! I always feel a bit awkward staying at B&Bs... it feels a little bit like it might if I just walked next door and settled myself in my neighbor's guest room for a night or two, while making myself comfortable in her living room in the mornings to read the paper. Plus, everyone's house has it's quirks, and it always seems that in these places the quirks involve things like doors that don't close quite right or plumbing issues.
At A'Tuscan Estate, we had the Craftsman Suite -- a whole separate house apart from the main house, and we had the whole upstairs. That was comprised of a bedroom, sitting area, bathroom and a small kitchen with a little table and chairs.
Liz was very friendly and thought of even the little things, like doublechecking that we knew how to use the keys -- since some doors can be as quirky as some bathrooms, this was appreciated! She set us up nicely and gave us a tremendous recommendation for a wine tour, which we took advantage of.
Breakfast was marvelous. We were warned that the chef (Liz's husband Jacques) would not be around during our stay and not to expect too much -- but Liz might as well have said nothing -- the poached pear alone was impressive! We had a very tasty quiche and wonderful coffee in her beautiful dining room in the main house.
Highly recommended. -

As good as it gets.
By far the best place I have stayed in the U.S., and we travel a lot throughout the northwest and elsewhere.
Room Details:
it was $ 235 per night for a PRIVATE separate room in the separate house next door to the main B&B.
We had private bath, queen bed, sitting area, tv, books, and a Day bed that could be used as a second sleeping area.
We had our own private kitchen, with small table, and updated appliances. We had our own coffee pot, which the owner provided coffee, cream and sugar for. It is a fully stocked and beautiful kitchen. Water in the fridge, full size fridge, coffee, stove, tea pot, tea, etc.
The place was immaculate, clean and beautiful. Very under stated, but nice, relaxing and quiet. PRIVATE room is wonderful!
This room is the entire upstairs of the separate Craftsman style house next door to the main house. We went for our first anniversary and wanted more privacy than a normal B&B.
Outside our apartment there is a patio & herb/wildflower garden. Small sitting area, small yard, but relaxing and beautiful. This area is "shared" with everyone, especially the lower area of the separate house (upstairs was our apartment, downstairs is another room- but nobody was staying there). However, even though it is shared- I felt alone and never saw anyone else!
So private, quiet, quaint and beautiful.
The main house is also beautiful, though I did not see the rooms. (I can imagine they are clean, and nice.) There is a nice sitting area, living room area with tv, book shelf, and beautiful decor.
The food:
The dining area is very comfy and inviting. Every morning at 8:30 (or 10:30) there is a sitting for breakfast. The food was AMAZING!!!! Worth the stay for sure. The best quiche I have ever had, ever, anywhere! Fresh fruit, fresh juice, coffee, pastry, eggs. One of the better breakfasts I have had anywhere, even a 5 star brunch place. We had a tomato stuffed with cheeses, artichoke hearts, spinach, topped with poached egg, on top of english muffins and some spinach patty thing. Delicious. Baked mango with brown sugar, some pastry with apricots, quiche, chocolate crossaints, etc. Wonderful!
The Service:
WAS great. 5 stars. The woman who owns it and works as the inn keeper, Liz, is inviting- and wonderful. She is there to help, but is not annoying and in your business like you may expect from a B&B. She gave info on vineyards, restaurants, etc. Offered to make reservations, and was always there to make sure we had everything we needed. She followed us to our private apt. room with coffee, and cream. Showed us how everything worked and then left us alone with privacy.
We ate at two amazing restaurants upon her recommendation for lunch and dinner. We never had to eat breakfast (obviously).
Her husband and co-owner and chef Jacques helped us pick out some wineries to go do tastings.
They are both as good as it gets. Private and quiet place, with helpful service, amazing food, and relaxing atmosphere.
Close to downtown Mcminnville, but it still feels quiet and removed. -

Liz, Jacques, and "pepe" were the best of host. this was our second stay, both times we were on our Harley on the middle leg of a long trip.
It was the most pleasant respite.
We stayed in the only suite, very large and comfortably appointed.
The breakfast are worth half the room cost so this is really a great value.
We ate at La Rambla in downtown McMinnville a 5 block walk. Great tapas great wine list, the owners were gracious host, go for happy hour for half off tapas and well drinks.
A Tuscan Estate is a very comfortable, relaxing home with very gracious and accommodating host.
He does not advertise it but Jacque has some very rare and great wines available for your pleasure (and $$$). Jacque created the most delicious afternoon "snack" of fruit, cheese, pastry and wine for us, it was absolutely the great finish to a day of touring and wine tasting.
Liz puts out coffee in the upstairs tea room around 6:30 each morning, this is the real thing no see-thru coffee here. There is also the makings for tea or hot water to cut your coffee if you are so inclined
Breakfast is a 8: or 10:00 not rushed, the sun drenched dining room made the sumptuous meal even more memorable.
Both times we stayed here we came for one night and stayed for 2 or more, we are sure it is something they put in the food!
Liz and Jacque treated us like we were loved siblings come for a long overdue visit, it was just like coming home. -

We just stayed here this past week, and loved our experience. Liz and Jacques are the most gracious hosts, and Jacque's breakfasts are *fantastique*! We had a buckwheat crepe-based quiche with ostrich egg and ham, an amazing fruit salad with figs, berries, mangoes, pineapples, and kiwis, and freshly baked croissants.
The B&B is very close to downtown McMinnville (5 blocks), and nicely appointed with Tuscan accents. We stayed in the "Napoli" room which had a newly renovated bathroom with dual pedestal sinks. The B&B also has a really friendly chihuahua who hangs out with guests if you want. :) This is a great place to stay if you need a launching pad for exploring Willamette Valley wineries.Listed in: Cruising through Oregon

Such a nice and friendly staff. Great rooms, although the walls were a little thin...But the thing that made our stay was the breakfast, fresh from scratch croissants local fresh berries and something they called a "tomato volcano" that was a poached egg in a tomato with spinach on an English muffin .
Plus you are within walking distance to downtown.
Would stay again without a doubt. -

I loved this place.
Beautiful, comfortable rooms (the suite is large with two small sofas, and the other rooms looked nice as well). Quiet location that is an easy walk to downtown McMinnville. FANTASTIC breakfasts made by the owners who bust out fresh made french pastry, fruit, and savory dishes for every guest. And authentic owners who are professional inn keepers.
Looking forward to return visits here! -

This inn is a treasure! We enjoyed every minute of our 4-night stay, but especially loved the fabulous breakfast prepared every morning by chef/owner Jacques Rolland. Delicious coffee and juices, fresh fruit in novel presentations, just-baked croissants and simply outstanding eggs (envision farm-fresh shirred eggs with local chanteralles). We spent our nights in the Craftsman Apartment, which was spacious, comfortable and private. The beds are wonderful, with luxury linens and the bathroom spacious and very well-appointed. Nice shampoos, etc.! Liz and Jacques Rolland are wonderful hosts, quick to share local tips and even providing a take-away breakfast for an early morning flight. Highly recommended!
