Great view, wonderful seafood, great experience and staff. Loved the ambiance - it was a little difficult to find, but well worth the effort.
Loved the She Crab Bisque!! Calamari Fries ware delicious and my husband loved the wet aged rib eye! I had the scallops and they were very good, nice size, and cooked to perfection.
We will definitely be back. For those of us in the Midwest who have a hard time finding fresh, good seafood, this is a real treat!! -

Beautiful spot with great ocean and golf course views. The ideal would be to sit outside, which I saw only a few people do, probably because of the bugginess out there, unfortunately. I'm not sure if they could get some citronella tiki torches (is there such a thing) or something? Otherwise, you're inside pining to be outside.
The food was very good by Florida standards. The service was excellent, but as someone else noted, it is almost like they time coming over for exactly when someone is mid-sentence.
Its worth checking out, but I'm not dying to go back. Again, I would be if I could sit on the deck. . . . -

I thought the food was excellent! Had a wonderful lunch and some of the best sweet potato fries with a curry sauce, FANTASTIC!! I had the fish wrap....it was just OK. We started off with some blue cheese chips, there were very good. Wish it had more melted BC, but still very good. The breakfast also was excellent...they were kinda slow though. But still worth the wait.

We wanted a casual restaurant while staying at Hammock Beach and my sister chose Atlantic Grille, which was quite the opposite of a casual dinner place. It is very formal and the maitre de I recognized from Ruth's Chris in Jacksonville. It is not necessarily a kid friendly place, but they made it so by staging our tables in a less formal section of the dining room. Since my sister's son is autistic and prone to get up and stand in the corner, this was perfect.
Then menu had a very nice selection of seafood and some great pork and chicken dishes, with an extensive wine list.
We chose a Chateau St. Michele Merlot and salads to start. The Caesar Salad was amazing, although not too plentiful. the house salad was large and according to my daughters, very good. The Lobster Bisque also got very high marks and came in a good size bowl.
They also brought six kinds of bread with a unique dish with butter and olive oil. It was a really nice touch.
When dinner came, conversation ceased. I had Flounder with potatoes and edamame succotash that was hands down the best I ever had. While the flounder was overwhelmed by the succotash, it was superbly prepared, flaky and moist, just not a lot of flavor.
I was simply too full for desert, but the kids deserts that came with their kids meal got high marks.
Dinner, with tip will run between $30-45 per person depending on appetizers and wine. -

San Francisco, CA
This was definitely not the worst place I've eaten, but for the money it should have been a LOT better. It was easily 3 times the price of any other place my husband and I ate on our recent trip to Florida, but it was only marginally better.
Pros:
- Great view of the ocean if you're sitting outside
- The she crab bisque is absolutely wonderful
- The sunset margarita is awesome (I love passionfruit!) - though it may have given me a stomachache due to all the acidity
- The calamari "fries" are really nice - perfectly tender and not at all rubbery like calamari can be. (The sauces were kind of disappointing though.)
- The creme brulee was pretty good, though they put so much whipped cream and berries on top that it overwhelmed the crispy sugary crust that makes creme brulee what it is
Cons:
- Extremely expensive ($25-35 per entree, not including appetizers or drinks)
- Our waiter was alright but he seemed kind of annoyed with us the whole time, and he interrupted us when we were talking (in the middle of a sentence!). The busboy and hostess were wonderful though.
- The waiter strongly recommended the wahoo as his favorite dish, but I found it mediocre at best. The fish was dry and flavorless. The guacamole on top was good, as was the crispy rice and bean cake it sat on top of... but overall my impression was "meh" - especially for the price! Everyone else seemed to feel similarly about their meals.
- As the sun set, it got very dark where we sat (outside). We couldn't see what we were eating!
- We were pretty miffed that they automatically added gratuity to the bill, even though we were only a party of 4.
It does have a luxury atmosphere -- which is nice if your'e into that kind of thing -- and the view is great, but overall I'd say you're a lot better off going to somewhere more down-home -- somwhere cheaper with less pretentious food and waitstaff. -

Excellent location no doubt! Maybe my expectations were a little high for this luxury resort at Hammock Beach. I by stopped for an appetizer and had heard about the view. I ordered the flatbread with arugula, blue cheese, sliced pears and pine nuts. The flatbread was the size of an 8 x 11 sheet of paper, uncut. Tough to managed with melted cheese. The pears were thick and mushy. Flatbread almost burnt. Maybe a bad day for the Chef. It has certainly happened to me. None the less, my first impression disappointing. The staff was exceptionally friendly and the view worth the visit.
On the way back to my hotel, I noticed a traffic jam at J T Seafood Shack. Sorry I missed dining there. -

Flawless dinner for six. Would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a fresh, clean meal. -

Had breakfast here it was OK. Had the French toast it was 12$ pretty expensive for French toast. I can see why most of the people at resort don't eat at the resort they would go broke!!

Outrageous view of ocean from your table, you can hear the waves!
Had both dinner & lunch here, lunch wins. Nice menu if you like to eat light. Good presentation, bar is OK....you can eat outside on Deck as well. If you don't live in area; could be hard to find. Great looking location & building, can walk on beach close to restaurant access.
Also good wine list. Upscale location. Could be romantic meeting place, or good place to make-up for not being romantic! -

The Atlantic Grille has the best views of any restaurant in the area. Directly on the beach, guests can choose to sit outside in the ocean breeze or inside in the dining room which is classy, but still comfortable. I've had wonderful experiences here for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The breakfast is an amazing value (prices compare to any chain-breakfast restaurant) and it's great to sit outside and watch the Atlantic and the golfers coming in on the 18th hole of The Ocean Course. My family and I have also had Christmas Eve dinner there on two occasions, both of which were wonderful- the food and service were excellent, creating memorable experiences.
