How cute is this place! (If I only had a dollar for every time I said 'CUTE' at Martha's Vineyard!) It's right on the water and you can watch the ships come in with their catch.

We ordered the oysters here and they were so delicious and fresh. We also ordered the ginormous burger, it was pretty good.

Our server was just a tad slow, but nothing to get upset about.  We also ventured in here at night and the bar area is quite lively.

Definitely worth trying if you are ever lucky enough to venture into the picture-perfect land called Martha's Vineyard.

My family and I went here for lunch while on vacation in Martha's Vineyard. We had six adults and a baby. We had a table right on the dock with an awesome view. The servers were really nice and attentive (and attractive!) and pointed out celebrities' houses to us in the distance.

I had the lobster mac and cheese with truffle oil. Eating it was THE BEST TEN MINUTES OF MY LIFE. Thinking about it makes me drool (because it was sooo good) and cry (because I will probably never experience it again. Tragedy).

Definitely check out this place if you're in Edgartown.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I want to first state that I was born and raised here and my family has lived in Edgartown year round for well over 75 years. I know that summer time on the vineyard can become a very different place. However, I have never in my entire life of living here been treated the way I was at this establishment. This is my hometown and I was treated like a second class citizen who did not belong here. Further, I have worked in restaurants on the island for well over 15 years and would never as a waitress acted in this way or worked at a restaurant that condoned this type of behavior.

My friends and I were not looking to eat a four course meal or drink heavily. We were accosted as a result of this. Because we were not drinking and had no intention of buying the most expensive apps, entrees and desserts we were treated like crap. The only items recommended by the waiter were the most expensive items on the menu. That is not to say that we didn't order quite a bit of food either. Most of us had apps and entrees (which shouldn't matter anyways).

I even asked for a Shirley temple (because I do not drink) and was literally told I could not have one because an adult should not be drinking one and the waiter would get in trouble from his boss. At that point after being harassed to order$72 steak booze, I finally told the waiter I was not only a vegetarian but a recovering alcoholic and that I would not be having either.

Despite the service being awful the food wasn't that great either. The best thing was honestly the french fries. Salad was over-dressed and we waited over 45 mins between apps and entrees.

I would never step foot in this place ever again. Unless you intend on spending a lot of money you will be harassed.

    Something happened to this place.

It was all cheerful and friendly before. And, in the midst of summer, we went there tonight, inviting our relatives to join this fancy but very friendly place.

As someone else said, the hostess and the manager treated us like a second class, that was the vibe I was getting and I got upset. And, he was someone who used to chat with us all the time. What happened to this place?

First, packed with upper middle class-all dressed up, we were casually still properly dressed but we had been always welcomed to join in and the hosts always recognized us and gave us the free dessert to impress us, loyal customers, and invited us to the second floor.

Then, tonight, we went there, and the hostess did not even attempt to put on a smile to greet me, then one of the managers, who used to greet us with big hand shakes hugs and would talk for a couple of minutes, totally was in the negative mood.

For four of us, he pointed out  3 bar seats in the covered terrace next to him and one other, 2 seats apart.  Or we should wait for 90 minutes. Then he disappeared. I told the new blonde hostess(with foreign accents) that I would get back after talking to my group about the situation waiting outside, and when I returned to put our name on the waiting list, she just finger pointed and said "talk to the manager when he comes back" without any eye contact.

Then, here comes our manager. He totally forgot that he had just told me what seats were available 1 minute ago, and, said, "gentlemen, have you been here before?" "Sir, I just spoke to you." I replied. And, he turned aggressive.

We decided to try somewhere else. And, I was very upset, that, after all the nice recommendation/persuasion  to my in-laws how great this new place was and how much we had enjoyed our meals there, we felt we were mistreated and kicked out.

Everyone was upset to see the stiff hostess girl, and the manager turning into some sour customer blocker.

We loved eating here so much the first day of our visit to Edgartown, we returned for lunch the second day!  I had an awesome watermelon/feta/watercress salad with balsamic reduction. Amazing combination of flavors!  And, it was huge so I couldn't finish it.  We also split a pesto pizza which was delicious as well.  The bread they bring out  is accompanied by an Olive tapenade that I would eat with a spoon by itself.  I spread some of it on the pizza.  :)
Dinner was topped by a mojito made with crushed berries.  Our waiter was really friendly too and we got to sit on the deck to eat while watching the boats.

Rather than cook at home, we decided to go out for lunch.  Deb had suggested this place, as it is one of her favorite lunch spots, during the summer.  Going before the touristy season begins, I was fine to give it a try.

The outside patio had custom-made clear curtains, designed to keep the elements out.  There were also heaters on the patio.  Rather than sit on the patio, we asked to be seated by the window.

The tables were square, but have the little leaves that fold under to make them a larger round table.  The feet of the table have dark metal feet that reminded me of the old foot-pedal Singer sewing machines.  The chairs, were a kind of caney-bambooey kind of wood.  They looked rickety but were comfortable.

Our waiter was pretentious, hence the 4 stars, rather than 5.  He wouldn't make suggestions, per se, rather pronouncements of what should be done.  When Jeff asked about bleu cheese dressing, "oh, we don't serve that with the salad because it makes it too soggy."  Ok, I get that you want to serve the house dressing, but just say that you recommend the house dressing or maybe just bring him the dressing he wanted.  Jeff was taken a little aback, so he just went with fries instead of the salad.  There was a similar exchange about wines.  The waiter tried to show off his knowledge and was shot down by Jeff, who does indeed know his wines.  Not a smart move, fella.

Deb ordered the lobster macaroni and cheese.  It was a huge portion with a substantial amount of lobster.  The elbows were cooked a little past al dente, but not overly so.  The cheese sauce/bechamel were good.  The addition of the truffle oil made this an elegant dish, rather than the more pedestrian kind of mac and cheese.

Jeff ordered a tuna burger.  He had them sear it a little more than what tends to be served.  He ordered the fries.  He's not a big fan of sesame oil, so the whole Asian slaw served on top of the tuna was wasted on him.

I asked for the kobe beef hot dog.  I anticipated a regular sized hot dog.  I was served a food long piece of hot meat.  (That reads a little dirty.)  The hot dog was split and grilled, perfectly.  Accompanying the hot dog were 4 little square dishes with mustard, salsa, relish and sauerkraut.  The salsa was bizarre.  I didn't eat it.  The sauerkraut and mustard were all used up.  I had stolen the little Tobasco bottle from Deb's 3 oysters and used that on the hot dog, too.  The bread for the hot dog was soft, but didn't fall apart with the addition of the condiments.  I didn't even touch the fries on the plate, as I was so full after eating the hot dog.

My iced tea and water glass were always kept filled.  The other waiters and waitress were also watching out for tables that weren't theirs.  If someone dropped a fork, a brand new place setting was brought to the table.  Drop your napkin, a fresh one was presented immediately.  After Deb's oysters, they brought her a hot wet towel with a lemon wedge.  This is the kind of service I love.

Prices were a little high for a lunch, but it was delicious.
    The views can't be beat.

Pricy joint for a meal, but some great views of the bay can be shared while enjoying a few drinks.  Watch out for the mixed drinks, they can pack a wallop.

I'm awarding a solid 5 stars for service, presentation, decor, taste and location.
Moreover I'd discreetly say upscale but would feel welcome in casual dress any day. Had a great experience. Ate wonderful food and was attention spoiled. My recipe for 5 stars.

All I can say is OMG! Let's begin with our server, Forrest. Stay Forrest, stay! This server is a gem. He is a friendly foodie, and we completely enjoyed him.

Ok, the food. Watermelon salad, fresh and delicious. Lobster salad, what? YUM! Whole bronzino fileted table side was fleshy and delightful. The star of the evening was the Crispy Pork shank. This is at the top of the best things I have ever eaten, EVER!! Crispy skin, moist tender pork inside, seasoned to perfection. Complimented with jalapeno applesauce and sauerkraut (also comes with polenta, but I found this unnecesary). This is my request for my last meal!!

They also have a fantastic selection of specialty drinks, get yourself a Painkiller, it lives up to it's name.

The atmosphere is comfortable and diners are welcome in jeans or sports jackets. Go and enjoy. And write a review!

Trying to keep it simple for post-Labor Day staffing, I ordered the tuna steak sandwich for lunch. "Did you want that raw?" the waiter asked, twice, before correcting himself with, "rare." I suspiciously said yes. It arrived quickly (too quickly?), and was cool, wet, and basically raw--barely cooked at all. When I showed this to the waiter, I was told, "That's what tuna's supposed to look like," as if I'd never seen this delicacy in all my life. While I did ask for rare, the waiter's response left no room for discussion, like my satisfaction with lunch was of no concern to him. Pretentious and weird, with a bad, fake vibe. Don't waste your time or money unless you have lots of both to spare.

We had a very nice extended lunch at the Atlantic F&C House.  We had a nice table on the porch which offered a great view.   Quality service, quality food, excllent location - right on Edgartown Harbor.  A little pricey, but a good value considering the location.

I love this place. My friends and I ate here twice while in Edgartown. The food is great, the prices pretty reasonable. The wine selection is good. The service great and helpful. There are TV's inside and out which was nice since we wanted to watch the Mavericks play during dinner one night. It was pretty chilly and overcast while we were there in ealy June but we sat outside anyway since they have the flaps down and the heaters on, it was very pleasant! Dont miss this place while you are in the area. Its well worth it!

Very pleasant for lunch, I think I would have felt it was overpriced for dinner.  Very good bartending and a good selection of beers.  The lobster vol au vent was excellent.  My husband got the lobster reuben which sounds weird I know (and I think it was spelled wrong on the menu).  He says somewhat cryptically, "It was what you'd expect from a lobster reuben.  It did not transcend itself."

The truffle fries are shoestring-style.  Also the bread is very good.  Service was attentive.

The best thing for me was that even inside, the place seems designed to capture the breeze from the harbor, which is so much more pleasant on a hot day than air conditioning.    That with a nice drink made it a very pleasant lunch experience.

    Let me explain....

Our server was pretty good I can't really complain too much about her as she was attentive, polite, and quick.

Ambiance was a mix of different customers and families and it's got a decent setup, but we weren't that impressed.

Food was decent. I had a lobster roll that had too much mayo in the salad and the roll was gross. and the fries were WAY over salted The bf had a burger (no bun - thank you gluten allergy) that he said was great but he couldn't have subbed anything other than a salad since he couldn't have the fries (STUPID - and cheap) The prices were really high on some stuff - 27$ for lunch salmon?? we paid 19$ at lobsterville for awesome salmon!! decent wine though - I had cakebread sav blan which i love and he had a really smooth malbec.

Prices, as I said were too high. 50$ for 1/2 raw seafood platter and 98$ for the whole thing?! so stupid.

we enjoyed it for the most part, but it also did not sit well in our stomachs after and we did feel a little sick. (NOT COOL).

Not the best deal for price and quality but had a great experienced. Hands down the most overpriced booze around. Be wary when you order. A coke and rum was just over ten!

I would recommend sharing a few sides or apps to save a bit on money. The sides are huge portions. We had the articokes which were phenomenal. The staff was very kind and helpful. The fresh berry dessert was amazing with a homemade whipped cream.

Good food and beautiful  setting with harbor views. But when my celiac spouse asked if they had gluten-free dishes, the manager rudely responded, "No, we're a steakhouse." When she tried to explain that her problem was wheat, not meat, he still insisted they had nothing for her. Offended and puzzled, we went elsewhere.

After eating here the other night and getting great food and service, we decided to try them for lunch today. What a HUGE disappointment this time- my hamburger and roll were burnt. The burger had absolutely no taste at all. The service was fair. My husband ordered the oyster roll, and it was fair. I don't think we will be back anytime too soon.

Overlooking the Edgartown Harbor, this restaurant has wonderful service and delicious, fresh menu options, fit for anyone in the family. The waitstaff is attentive, funny, conversational, and just wonderful people to be around. I got the Lobster Arugula salad which had a light and flavorful dressing. In addition, I had bits of the chicken marsala (outstanding!) and the truffle french fries. We were seated outside which had a beautiful view of the boats and dock at sunset. Every couple of weeks, they have a live band which gets everyone dancing and buying drinks at the bar. Drinks are reasonably priced for Martha's Vineyard, so it didn't bother me. Definitely stop by if you are in the area and you won't be disappointed. I had an amazing dining and wining experience!

    It's a celebrity spot too :-)

The experince was just okay. Yes they are on the downtown habor with awsome views of the habor. The food was somewhat overpriced, but decent.  My tuna was good but came with no sides. My dad got a Kobe Burger asked for it medium but it so rare that half the bun was covered in red burger jucies.  3 hours later my dad got stomach pain and worse.  I think the atmospher is just okay but with price there are comparable views at less expensice prices.  Also, the kitchen will not substitute food. I wanted chili without the rice and they said no.  Any good kitchen should be able to handle that espcially this early in the season.
