I went to the new Atlantic Club Hotel(as of March2012)  today and I had a blast. THE PARKING WAS FREE! The food was excellent and affordable. They have an Italian restaurant, Asian restaurant, a steakhouse, burger bar(that's open late), and coffee/bakery. The casino looked very festive and entertaining. (I'm not a gambler but I like looking at the lights.lol)

This is a great place to go for leisure/fun or it's a great late night eating/entertainment option. The pool area is connected to a spa and I'm sure next time that I visit, I will opt for a treatment.

I really can't wait to go back to AC to go here again.

My wife and I stayed at the Atlantic Club (formerly Hilton) this past weekend.  Although it is all the way at the south end of AC, I think it is nice to get away from all the noise once in a while.  The check in was very quick and easy.  Despite a lot of the reviews on here I thought the rooms were perfectly fine.  At least the room we were in, I know rooms can vary from one to the next.  I didn't think it was very dated.  Had a fridge, safe, ocean view, jacuzzi tub, marble countertops.  For the price what more can you ask for?  The only small complaints is that there was no WiFi service and the showerhead wasn't the best.

You can't complain about free parking either.     The casino floor itself was undergoing some renovations, but it wasn't that bad of an eyesore.  It is a pretty small casino floor, but I didn't have too much trouble finding a seat at the Blackjack table.  They also offer low table minimums.

We ate breakfast one morning at the coffee shop.  We each enjoyed our meal.

Checkout was pretty easy, fill out a small form, and drop off your room keys in the box.

Now called the Atlantic Club this is the first AC Casino to get the pricing right for the average guy.  We just took a walk through after a dinner out and I was amazed.  The restaurant prices were what you would expect to find in a non casino restaurant.  Hats off to the new Atlantic Club.

Smoking and no smoking gambling areas.  The casino was busy and clean.

I've lived and worked in the AC area since casinos first began and this is the first working persons priced casino.  Revel is beautiful, but no one I know can afford their prices.

Recently stayed here (The Atlantic Club) w/ my folks this past weekend for a comp. room. Arrived late at night, with a quick and easy check in. No problems with the room- fairly clean, and comfortable beds. Lots of new machines on the casino floor. I like how it doesn't get too packed.

I should give 2 stars because the Hilton is just old and dirty looking and the games stink and there is no poker room BUT, I have been very lucky gambling in this place with slots so I will definitely come back to play but not stay! The rooms are so old looking and I don't care for their restaurants... The upside is the valet parking is usually fast and your on the boardwalk so you can take a stroll on those nice summer days....

Me and some of my friends came here for the weekend and the establishment was pretty nice. This is the very last hotel (well big hotel) on the strip. We stayed here just for one night and I just loved that they had the air conditioning blasting in the hotel (it was in the mid/high 90's outside). The lady in the checking counter was also very nice and helpful.

We went to our room to relax for a few minutes and it wasn't anything spectacular but it was definitely a good hotel (no flatscreen and had a window view of a wall and rooftop). I wasn't too concerned about that since we were just going to be there for the night.

the downside of this hotel was the casino floor. compared to the other hotels like Bally's the slots and gaming tables was just a closet size. The first time we walked in and looked for the craps table we literarly walked passed it and walked around the casino floor in less than a minute.

Later that night we went to Nick's Burger Bar for dinner, there were 4 of us and my friends beautiful 6 month old baby girl. It took us about 15 minuts or so to be seated since it was a full house but with our hunger and reading the menu we all thought it would be worth the wait.

You have an option to choose which kind of meat you have, I believe they had  5 or 6 options (Kobe beef, Nebraska buffallo, lamb?, etc) I cant really remember all of it but it was definitely nice to have those options rather than going to a burger joint with just one kind. I actually went a whole different direction and got the seared salmon burger.

Overall it kind of sucks that it is in the end of the strip since all the late night action is in the middle of the boardwalk but during the daytime it is a plus if you want to go to the beach, you have more open areas... although i hate the flys! DAAAAAAMN! I never seen flys with needles and dont get scared... i was in the beach for a second i was bit so many times so i just cancelled that plan.

I know i reviewed a few things other than the hotel but at least you get to see what you get into when you come to AC and the sourrouding area.

We stayed at the Hilton for the Dave Matthews Band Caravan festival when it was in Atlantic City last weekend, and I must say, I was not impressed.  While the room was clean, and the location was convenient, it felt kind of like the hotel was stuck in 1994, what with the cheesy mirrors-everywhere decor, obsessively-coral-pink draperies, and lack of accessible wifi (we kind of assumed that if we tried to use the plug-in ethernet, we'd somehow be forced to use America Online for all web browsing).

We had a great deal on the price through DMB Warehouse, but the sign on the inside of the room door said it is normally $400-$450 a night, and I can't imagine paying that for a place that doesn't even let you log into Yelp to complain about the high cost.  :)

That said, we were there for the concert, and not for gambling, so it's possible a serious gambler would have a totally different take on the place.  I can't really evaluate the casino, as all I played was a few games of chuck-a-luck.  We tried the burger bar, Nick's, in the Hilton, and the food and drinks were good, but pricey.  We also had a round of drinks at the Dizzy Dolphin on the ground level near the slots, but they were nothing to write home about.

In addition to the lack of internet, our room had only TWO outlets, neither of which was near the desk or table.  One was by the mini fridge, and was a little rusty and would wiggle around any time we plugged a cell phone charger into it.  The other was by the alarm clock, which looked a little more safe, but was in an inconvenient location for using laptops (even without internet, I had to write about the concerts when we got home, just saved them up to post to my blog once we got home lol).

We also found it odd that our room didn't have a directory of services binder anywhere in it.  Anything we wanted to find out about restaurants, pool hours, or other services, we had to figure out on our own, or call the front desk.  We just had a weird room service menu that had the pages in all the wrong order.  (The room service menu is available 24 hours a day though, which is a nice option.  And we ordered pancakes at midnight after the third night of concerts, and they were pretty darn good.)

If you can get a good deal on the room, and you're going to a festival sort of thing at Bader Field like we were, this is a good option.  If you're looking to have a really fantastic hotel stay and take in everything that Atlantic City has to offer, I'll be honest, aside from sleeping, we spent a lot more time over at Tropicana than we did in our own hotel.

Payouts % OK.  selection of machines compared to Foxwoods poor.  Dated selection.  No major eye candy like " Alice's enchanted mirror".

No $5 blackjack even early on a Wednesday.

The "Dolphin Bar" does not comp drinks even if you shovel money into the machines built into the bar.  Ultra Lame.

       Fairlt small casino.

All the way up one end, not near other casinos, and there is no tram like at Wildwood, only shifty dudes with Rickshaws.

I didn't know there were hotels in the twenty-first century that didn't have wi-fi at all.  There was no free breakfast, either.

The room itself was comfortable and spacious.  I like that the lighting had dimmer controls.

To use the exercise room you must pay a fee.  The pool is free and there is a nice deck with great ocean views.  All of this is on the third floor.

This hotel is very far from anything you would want to do while in Atlantic City.

My experiences at Tropicana were much better.  If you go to Atlantic City, you are better off staying at a hotel a block away from the boardwalk.  They are much cheaper and you get free wi-fi, free breakfast, and I saw some offers for slot cash.

This review is intended for heavier gamblers, to share some of the Hilton perks.

    Valet:
Parking is free for all Ultra and Elite

    Check in:
VIP Check in- we typically arrive around 11-11:30am and the suites are usually ready to go. Todd at VIP is great and will help with anything we need. You'll typically be 20th floor or up but never below the 16th unless you request it.

    In your room:
You'll get a nice fruit and cheese platter, assorted crackers, an assortment of sodas and water along with a box of Godiva chocolates. They used to do fruit baskets, but switched to this about 4 years ago.

    The Restaurants:
The Hilton did a remodel in their restaurants last year. They're all pretty good and of course accept your comp. If your Ultra or Elite they'll never turn down your seating even if they are slammed. The Coffee Shop- a great place for lunch, has accelorated seating/ separate line for Ultra and Elite.

    Chairmens Club: (for Ultra &Elite)
Has moved numerous times over the years and is now where the French Restaurant (Peregrines) used to be. It's pretty cool. Just flash them your card and go in. They have different types of food, desserts and drinks. They mounted a few tv's in there and have a bar to sit at as well. It's an older crew but for the most part everyones nice. The people you see in there you'll find will always be around you. They'll be at Meet and Greets with you, sit around you at concerts, share limos with you etc. So it's good to get to know them.

    Comps.
Probably the best in A.C. They have a shop you can use it in and you can also use it in Resorts since they have the same owners.

    Concerts:
You get front section seating at all concerts including concerts at Boardwalk Hall sponsored by The Hilton. You also get limo service to and from shows there.

    The Casino:
It's not a huge casino, has both smoking and nonsmoking areas and will supply you with your own security guard on the floor while gambling.

    Events:
The hotel has frequent concerts, Ultra and Elite Meet and Greets with celebrities and special dinners, lots of great give aways ( like MacBooks, Sony Readers, leather jackets, watches, jewelry, cruises, flat screen tv's etc.) frequent tournaments, a New Years Ball etc.

Overall we've been happy with our host and with the peks at The Hilton

    July 21 and 22, 2010

Spent two nights in a room on, what I was told, was the newly-renovated 16th floor.  Having toured the hallway on the floor just below it, I did prefer the newer green carpeting above, but the appearances of my room's door, and the wall behind it, did not convey to me that this was a renovated floor.  However, once inside, I did find comfort, and the room was quite spacious.  The bathroom was drafty-- thank goodness for hot showers!  I enjoyed the beach-front view, and it was nice to be so high up that I didn't have to look at the open-air bars just in front of the boardwalk.

No wi-fi, but not many hotels offer this, anyway, so no biggie.  What I didn't like was that if I wanted to use the fitness room, I'd have to pay an extra $15.  I opted out of the fee, thinking I'd get enough exercise from swimming.  Wrong!  I didn't enjoy my beach experience here as much as the one I had a month before at Myrtle Beach's Beach Cove.

Other than the boardwalk experience (not all that great since it's littered w/ low-quality beach clothing and uninteresting dining options) and The Pier Shops at Caesar's (formerly Ocean One Mall-- I briefly worked here many, many years ago!), there isn't much for a non-gambler like me, to do while at The Hilton.

At least The Quarter at the Tropicana was walking-distance from here!  The market there makes for a nice diversion-- a grocery w/ many Italian products to peruse through, as well as fresh fruits and veggies; a coffee and pastry bar; hot and cold food bars; a gelato section; and indoor and outdoor seating to sample all the goodies you found!

(FYI, security was tight here when I checked out on Friday morning-- Bill Clinton was the guest speaker that night.  At $300 a head, I decided to skip the event.)

Do not stay here if you are a heavy gambler as I am... I like waiting until everyone is sleeping and sneaking downstairs around 4am on a weekday with a few hundred, just to double my money of course =)

The Hilton's valet is one of the fastest in all of AC... on the plus side...

The people, mediocre at best.... no one interesting, or for that matter great looking...

The rooms are kinda old-fashioned, no ipod stations or translucent walls... nothing that would ever be considered modern at all... lots of flowers though (barf)

The casino is not good... I feel as though the odds of winning are worse especially because it is never that crowded...

The spa is nice and the steakhouse was a good dinner as well....

The only way I would come stay here again is if I was going with a better half... and all I was looking for was an affordable getaway, a tan, and being super close to the beach...

The building itself is kind-of rundown, everything is gold/chrome and white and mirrored -- which might be why I like it -- it reminds me of places like Golden Nugget (back before it was turned into a theme park) in the late-1980s when my parents would drag me to Las Vegas (before things like The Mirage and The Luxor and Hard Rock and The Palm started glamorizing the place).

The casino floor is old-fashioned, low-ceilings, lots of machines pushed close together -- I like it, it's very comfortable and comforting to me... I've had pretty good luck and won some money here a couple of times -- and the cocktail-waitresses are very fast and friendly -- I always get wasted for almost no money at all.

The hotel rooms themselves are just okay. The showers are nothing special, the towels are nothing special, the toiletries they provide are nothing special, but the views outside the window(s) are nice IF you get one over-looking the water... The people working the front desk are polite and courteous.

I wouldn't say this place attracts the youngest or most beautiful of people, but who cares -- they gives comps! If you join (for free) their membership club they will send you free offers for overnight stays during off-season weekdays and weekends, plus the more you gamble the more points you earn toward free food... I'll definitely be back at some point.

I feel bad to leave a bad review, but I don't want people being so badly disappointed like me.

    All the bad that happened:
    1) My boyfriend & I go into our room, and the toilet is clogged we had to call the front desk. Somebody finally showed to fix the problem like after 30min
    2) The blow dryer in the bathroom was not working
    3) Not enough towels and pillows, and it was just two of us.
    4) We had a king size bed that was so low to the floor

    Disappointments:
    1) The jacuzzi was a SMALL bathtub with jets
    2) No DVD or VHS player

    ONLY GOOD:
Is the Room service, It had reasonable price, and it comes FAST.

Overall I wish I could give this place 0 stars, but I can't....Even there casino sucks.
Overcrowded tables because they only keep a few open, and the dealers are REALLY NASTY. I got rushed playing blackjack.

I suppose I came here with higher expectations. I felt like I stepped into some 1985 time warp: black carpets with orange trim, white pillars, mirrors EVERYWHERE (literally, the hallway walls on every floor are completely mirrored, I felt like Freddy Krueger was going to pop put at any minute). I suppose AC is not the place to hang around in a hotel room (unless you're doing something sketchy) but it was rather outdated.

The room itself was your standard hotel room, nothing more, nothing less. There's a decent view of the Atlantic if you're facing that way.

My friend and I waited around at least a half hour for the valet guy, when we got fed up and wound up asking one of the bellhops about what was going on. It turns out that the valet is handled inside the building at some desk tucked away in the corner. I thought $20 to park a car at a hotel I spent $140/night on was a little ridiculous, but maybe that's just me, and maybe someone else out there thinks it would have been courteous to, err, NOT charge for parking.

This Hilton is located right on the boardwalk. When you exit, you'll probably want to head toward other places such as the Tropicana, Taj Mahal, Hard Rock Cafe, Caesar's, etc. A few of these places are quite a hike down the boardwalk. If you have knee problems, you'll have to either take your car and drive to these places and park in their visitor lots, or use a jitney service to get there. Your travels down the boardwalk will be interesting and fun-filled, as you will see some of the strangest wierdos in your life along the way.

I went to Atlantic City looking for the absolute least expensive hotel, and this was it,  next to the Tropicana (which had a better casino area). I don't regret the decision. Just don't go to the Hilton thinking that it will be anywhere near that of Ceasar's, because you will be sorely disappointed!

When I think of the Hilton, I think of staying in an upscale hotel. After this trip, it's made me rethink this position.

Check-in was fast an efficient. Upon arriving in the room, everything looked good. Looked. The TV would not stay pushed all the way in on the TV tray (which extended out into the room). The ceiling in the bathroom had mold on it.

I figured that there would be several amenities included with the room. I was wrong. EVERYTHING costs extra (Wifi, use of exercise room, sauna, etc). Internet in the room is wired internet (which was broken in our room and the cable *extremely* twisted. The pool was supposed to be heated, but was not (and is not open past 7PM or so).

As far as we could tell, the hotel does not have anywhere on site that you can go for breakfast. Possibly lunch or dinner, but we never stayed around long enough to find out.

The only positive note I have for this hotel is the parking. $5 charge to the room gets you an unlimited parking pass in the Hilton's garage and a transfer pass (that's valid for 12 hours after check-in) that lets you park for free in any other casino's lot.

As others have stated, the decor is *very* cheesy and mirrors everywhere.

The casino is small, and not worth visiting.

As another has said, this is a place to sleep and store your stuff. The rest of you visit will be spent in other casino's/locations.

The reason for a 1 star rating is based on the above issues plus the cost of the room. Based on the experience I had, the room should have cost 1/3 of what I paid. I will *definitely* not be visiting this hotel again.

Stayed here when Phish played, reminded me a lot likse the Golden Nugget, felt like I was back on Fremont St in the late 80's decor, with a mirror everywhere I looked. No microwave in room and tv didn't pivot to watch comfortably. I kinda expected more from the Hilton name, but reasonably priced and room was clean. Didn't try any of the hotel restaurants, but only casino I've ever been in for any length of time where a waitress hasn't come around with a drink.

they have a chinatown casino bus from new york to hilton. not sure if they have the same promotion as caesar. hilton use to be like $20 for the ticket and you only get back $20 so it would be a free ride there.
when you get back on to return to AC you will be require to give at least $1 tip to the bus driver.
you can take it where the confusious is.

    ----------
current it's $18 not sure if you need the casino card. the price changes since each month might not be the same promotion.

The lobby was pretty nice. The halls has so many mirrors that I almost missed a turn to go to my room because I thought it was a mirror. The rooms were okay. Had a view of the shoreline, but it wasn't that great. The bed sheets and blankets were old looking. The bathroom was pretty nice. A regular tub is a jacuzzi, which was a bit odd. The hair dryer was a bit intimidating as I used it because it felt like it was gonna blow up any minute, while I dried my hair. And another scary thing is the handle of the hair dryer was getting hotter the longer I used it...However, the room was equipped with a mini fridge. Not that I used it to store food, but it kept my water cold. The room service okay. We ordered some tea, but it took like 20 minutes for it come to our room. They gave us enough tea packets, honey and lemon to throw a tea party in our room for just the two of us.

Staying here was a very disappointing experience as this hotel did not live up to our expectations for a classy Hilton.  The price was cheaper than the other hotels I called ($125/night + tax as opposed to over $200/night.)  They do not offer a military or AAA discount (at least on the weekends.)  It's $10 to pay in the lot across the street, $5 if you stay there, which is reasonable.

The behavior of the woman at the front desk was so bizarre we actually thought we might be on Candid Camera!  After specifically asking for a non-smoking room we went upstairs to our room only to find that it was a smoking room (multiple ashtrays, bad smell.)  The guests next door were clearly smoking pot and the hallway reeked of it.  I guess doing drugs in the hotel is so routine that the front desk staff didn't even care.  We were switched to a non-smoking room.  By this point it was late and I really wanted to be asleep in bed instead of dealing with their incompetence.

I'm not sure what the decorating theme in the hallway was supposed to be (mirrored walls, orange carpets with black trim.)  1980's Japanese motif perhaps?  The room was decorated more classically and wasn't bad.

This place is not what it used to be.  I used to stay here pretty regularly about 10 years ago.  It truly felt like you were staying in a luxury hotel.  A super comfy bed, quality linens, down pillows and a down comforter neatly wrapped between 2 sheets.  Now, the beds are jiggly and springy.  There was one measly flannel blanket that I wouldn't dare pull up to my chin.  There was just this "old" feeling.  I think Borgata is the way to go now.  Restaurants are way overpriced.  Cappucino's is a good bet for coffee, pastry and sandwiches.

I stayed at the Hilton AC recently and was kind of disappointed.

    Pros:
    *Affordable
*They upgraded us to a larger corner room without us asking for anything

    Cons:
    *Rooms are very old looking
    *Lousy food options
*The Dizzy Dolphin Bar, which we used to really enjoy, just isn't the same. When we went, there was no table service, no live music, and unlike the bars in Vegas, there are no free drinks when you play the bartop video poker.

Its an adequate place to lay your head, but nothing special. You will likely just sleep and shower there and spend the rest of your time gambling, eating, shopping, etc. elsewhere.

I just stayed at the Hilton in Atlantic City this past weekend with three friends, and we had the WORST customer service experience ever.  We got there late Friday night and soon discovered the bed sheets were stained and dirty. Still we decided to just leave it alone for the night hoping they would be changed the next day.  The next morning, one of my friends was still having problems getting internet connection she had bought online the night before. When calling the front desk for assistance, they gave her such attitude about it, and even after they sent a guy to check on the box, she was still having issues connecting. She had to call and asked for a reimbursement.  The worst happened Saturday - the cleaning lady threw away my retainers, which were placed in a tissue on the night stand, but failed to throw away the rest of the garbage in the room, including empty water bottles and even left a wet towel behind!  I had to call their security team twice on the issue before two guys showed up at our room. They refused to check the garbage collected that day and simply had me filed a one sheet report on these $3000 retainers. They told me I would be getting a call on the matter by Tue (nothing yet).  When one of  my friends called up the front desk again, to see if the matter could be handled sooner or if there was a way for us to be compensated,  they simply kept transferring her to the security dep't.  They didn't even want to give her the last names of the extremely rude people she had to deal with on the phone. They must be trying to hide or cover up something, not to want to give away managers' full names. Or maybe quite a few of their guests ask for these names to report them. I will NEVER EVER again stay at this hotel while visiting AC, and will make sure to tell everyone I know about this HORRIBLE experience. I am definitely reporting them to the BBB
