This is  a quite modest aquarium at relatively modest $8 price for adults -  it will take you about an hour or so to check out everything.. It is true that some of the tanks are in need of cleaning and some of them also lack labeling, but the labeling that does exist is quite informative and the place seems perfect for kids because there are multiple touch tanks where kids and adults can touch sharks, rays, and other creatures..  The view from the 3rd floor is pretty nice, you can walk out and take some photos.. The staff seemed quite friendly.  I enjoyed my visit and learned a few things, definitely I got more memories and personal enrichment out of my $8 then I would have spending those same $8 on say, admission to a mindless Hollywood action film or a cocktail..

Groupon'd it again . . . 2 tickets for $8 . . . not bad.  The aquarium, like others have said, is ideal for kids.  2 stories.  They even had an interactive session where all the kids sat down in a circle while one of the "trainers" explained things.  I thought that was real cool.  However for 2 adults, this place is very mehhhh.  Small aquarium, no big sharks, I was able to touch a ray, that was kinda neat.  Honestly, the best thing about this place was it was ICE COLD and outside was over 100 degrees . . . so it was a relief to see some fish and cool off.  Other than that, the regular price of $8 a head I think it is overpriced and really not worth the value . . . but Atlantic City isn't the most kid friendly town . . . so it does serve as a break for the kids and it is educational.  Beats the heavy smoke in a casino.

Parking was free and plentiful, and the whole area is real nice, with nice views of the marina and the marina hotels.  Several restaurants in the area as well to vibe and grab a bite to eat.

Probably 2.5 stars, but I rounded up for educational reasons . . . the only way I go back is if I got kids . . . if it is just adults . . . skip entirely.

My family and I were there the week of Christmas and were very suprised that a place like this exists in A.C.

It is very small and in two hours tops you will have seen everything. But the everything is very friendly and low-key unlike Baltimore or Camden.

The other reviews have explained everything that's there so I won't recap it all again. But if you are in the area it is worth the little side trip to Gardner's Basin to see it.

It is a very tiny Aquarium and not very well maintain.  Tanks are all quite dirty inside and out.  My kid had fun feeding the Stingray and that was the high point of this place in my opinion.

Went there w/ familia recently & don't think its worth the price of admission.  It's small. U do get to pet rays & very small sharks.  Looks like it needs updating & expansion.

This aquarium is great for kids. We went on a rainy summer day down the shore. Not very big but a good way to kill an hour or so when it is raining and can't go to the beach.

We have also been there when it is not raining and is not crowded at all- easy to maneuver around and get to really see the exhibits.

My kids love going there and I think the prices are reasonable as well. Will definitely be going back on the next cloudy day down the shore!

It was so small and only had a minimal amount of fish. Meant more for families with very small children. They really should advertise this more. Thank goodness I had a good discount! That being said, the view was fantastic!

Small for an aquarium but still a neat place.  More geared toward children as they have a lots of events for them and a few touch tanks.  You do get to touch baby sharks, rays, starfish, crabs, and some other marine animals.  The tanks could be cleaned a little better in my opinion as it detracts from the exhibit but I'd still go back if given the opportunity.
