I've only been here once, but my first experience was good. I definitely want to go back.... soon. I frequently walk past this place because I work in the neighborhood, and I have always found their patio to be charming, and generally full of people.

The interior of the restaurant was very clean, and charming. It definitely had a Mediterranean feel to it , and was very different than the typical Utah restaurant. I found the service to be friendly, and prompt.

I chose the Greek salad, maybe I should've branched out and tried something different, but nonetheless, I had the Greek salad, and I loved it. The greens were very fresh, there was a generous portion of Feta cheese, and the olives were some of the best I've tasted.

I can't wait to come back.

One of salt lake's hidden treasures. The Atlantic is an authentic mediterranean restaurant. It's no frills with great food and drinks! I enjoy the salads and paninis. The cheese, veggies, olive oil, and balsamic are exactly what i expect from a euro style restaurant. I've never been disappointed in the dozen times i've eaten there since 2005. The patio is great in the summer.
It is what it is.  If you're looking for an upscale posh restaurant, keep going.  If you're looking for a place that reminds you of a European casual restaurant that is friendly and relaxing, try the Atlantic.

I'm always had a good time coming here, their combo plates are quite delicious and hearty, I've had to take a box a few times because I got so much food. Their kebabs and cevap (sausage) are my favorites, but they do a pretty good Greek salad as well. They're the only game in the downtown area it seems when it comes to Mediterranean food, but it doesn't mean they slacked off in their quality. The outdoor seating is nice too, weather permitting.

Service here is always friendly and I was shocked to find out that one of the waitresses knew my "usual" even though there had been a gap in several months between visits...we'll see if she was just being nice in the future. Note that sometimes it can get pretty busy and you'll have to wait for your food for a bit, but if you've got a long lunch hour, spend it here sometime.

This may be my favorite restaurant in Salt Lake City, partially because I discovered it all by myself.  The Croatian owners serve a mix of Baltic and Mediterranean cuisine, with decent and affordable wines by the glass.  I'm a big fan of the cevap (minced beef sausage), and of any dish served with their ajvar dip.  While the outdoor seating is quite pleasant (especially with a glass of Spanish red on a summer dusk) and unique in SLC, the service is somewhat lacking.  While the servers/owners are very pleasant, the wait for the food can be glacial.  That said, absolutely discover this wonderful little restaurant, but only if you have time to spare.

When you're walking down Main Street, find this gem.  The owners are Croatian and serve yummy dishes that are mediterranean.  I like to pop in for lunch and get a delicious Greek salad with chicken shish kabob.  I believe that it consists of romaine salad, with feta cheese, pepperoncini, kalamata olives, tomatoes, onions with an olive oil and balsamic vinegar dressing.  It comes with a pieces of pita bread that is grilled and served with a yogurt or cream dip (like a chunky white sauce).  I order the chicken shish kabob in addition to the salad to get some protein, and it tastes very good.  I'm not sure how they grill, but it has wonderful flavor.  They also serve pastas, pizzas, gyros, and cevap (sausage).  When I used to eat beef, I enjoyed their gyros and cevap.  Very yummy.  Try the roasted red pepper dip (ajvar) too and dip veggies and pitas in it.  There's also good coffee, wine and beer along with sodas.  They also have a market that sells European chocolate, cookies and coffee.

They have outside dining under trees so you almost feel like you're in Europe.  However, sometimes on weekends, the eastern European kids come down there and hang out, chattering away in their languages.  You don't remember that you're in Utah.

There's also a great back room, and we have held functions back there and served appetizers and liquor.  After one such function, we received numerous compliments about the Atlantic.

The people at the Atlantic have always been super nice.  Some people may think that because that they're not overly friendly (like most Utah servers which is very annoying!) and very businesslike.  I don't mind that.  Most people that eat there are regulars like myself.

i love the atlantic. i've only been a few times (its a shame, really) but i even took my mom there, and i don't take her anywhere. (sorry mom). the food is delicious, the servers are all extremely nice and the price is right. i defintely recommend the gyro and if you get kabobs it includes the most amazing dipping sauce ever.
