Review from Jane K.
Atlantic Avenue beach is located on the Southern end of its namesake street and features restrooms, life guards and even a pretty decent concessions stand. For families visiting the beaches in Amagansett, I'd say it's preferable to Indian Mills which attracts a younger, more party-minded set. And for the twenty and thirty somethings, be aware that there's a disproportionate number of children under 10 years old roaming this beach, peeing in the ocean and generally underfoot.
Parking is permit-only during the weekend, though on weekdays non-permit holders can pay a fee. The food stand offers an array of beach foods like fried clams, lobster rolls and chicken tenders in addition to the healthier chicken caesar wraps and salads. Our local host at a nearby hotel recommended the Beach Burger and I was definitely not disappointed - it's almost Shake Shack worthy! The sodas are also notably humongous - though with the summer sun beating down it's definitely not a gamble to super size to a large.
