The 4 man team actually arrived 15 minutes early, which was fine. It would have been nicer if they called beforehand as they were supposed to, but hey, better to arrive early than late, right?
They did a fine job, and I would recommend them. I had to intervene and give direction in a hard way in the beginning, but they got to the task involved without much slowdown. They worked 2.75 hours, and 2 men took a 10 minute break. I never said anything, though I paid for their three hour minimum, which was the only irritant, as most all of the moveing companies charge only a two hour minimum, and I hired four men.
But, bottom line, they were careful and everything was fine. -

I called Atlanta Peach Movers and left a voicemail because I was interested in their services. NO ONE EVER returned my phone call. I guess they've gotten too big for their britches. Smh

I used them when I first moved to Atlanta and loved them. When I moved a few blocks away two years later, I hired Atlanta Peach Movers to pack and move me. It took them over 12 hours to pack and move a 2 bedroom condo less than 2 miles. I have never seen slower workers. Their customer service after the fact was terrible as well. I was overcharged and very dissatisfied overall. I would NOT recommend them.

I contacted Atlanta Peach Movers regarding a 900+ mile move with a under 2000 pounds. When I contacted Atlanta Peach Movers, they seemed friendly and helpful. I coordinated a date and time for someone to come out and approximately guess the weight of my things, as is the custom for long distance moves.
The individual, Jim, showed up on time to review my possessions, showed me the promotional video on a portable DVD player, and took inventory. He explained the basic moving process and that I needed to empty cabinets and drawers before they can be loaded. (It occurred to me now that he didn't go over liability or protection plans or anything as the rep for another moving company did when he came.) Jim told me that he would get back to me with a quote.
That's the end of my experience with Atlanta Peach Movers. Jim never got back to me with the quote. I tried to follow up via email a week later, but I never got a response. I know I didn't have a lot of things to move, but I expected at the very least a "Sorry, we can't set up a move for you" instead of the silence.
Update 8/7/2011: Jim called me back to apologize for not getting back to me; I don't think he read this review but I could be wrong. He said that they don't move out that far that frequently and couldn't set me up with something, which I already assumed. It was about 3 months ago that I had last contact with APM. -

If asked, "Which is more painful, choosing a moving company or watching eight straight hours of "Full House" re-runs, I would have needed some time to ponder my answer, but after just unpacking what hopes to be the last of my boxes, all and all, working with Atlanta Peach Movers proved to be the lesser of the two evil's!
Maria, my Sales Rep., came to my apt. to survey all that I have accumulated in a lifetime. We walked room-by-room, taking an inventory of "the goods," as an estimate is based upon the weight of your belongings. I had a small window of time to work within, in terms of a delivery date to the new state I was moving to, so Maria was patient over the next week or so, as we went back and forth on the phone, to settle on a pick-up/delivery date. Maria was good about returing my calls (typically within 24-48 hrs.). The return calls seemed sandwiched between other sales appts., so know what you need, for when your Sales Rep. calls back (calls were also returned after business hours, this was appreciated).
I had to make some changes to the inventory, so I e-mailed my changes to Maria, and a new contract was drawn up. I was also sent a "Moving Day" checklist, which was very helpful.
I received a confirmation call the day before the initial pick-up, and the (3) movers arrived the next morning, within the window which was confirmed. Caffery and the two young members of his crew, worked quietly and efficiently. Caffery was nice/talkative. The crew was polite and took care with each of my items. As I was on the 3rd floor of an apt. bldg., as well as having an oversized desk, the whole move took about 4 hrs. to complete.
Caffery (Supervisor) and I then reviewed the inventory paperwork. I signed on the dotted line, and away my personal affects went into the night. (or day in this case)..
I received a call a few days later, alerting me to when my belongings would be delivered to the next state. I called to confirm w/ Maria, a few days before the provided delivery date, and again, my call was returned within a reasonable time.
In terms of receiving my items on the other end, the movers were caught in city traffic, which pushed the delivery time back by about 2.5 hours. You can only do what you can do, and the driver did call a few times along the way to let me know their status.
Once they arrived, (18-wheeler, 3 movers), they were friendly, and began unloading right away. The driver/Supervisor had driven through the night and was over his allotted hours, so I took inventory of my items (each item had a sticker, which corresponded to the inventory list), as the items were brought in, as the Supervisor slept in the truck. I am not sure if this is their policy, but it felt better knowing what to look for as it came off the truck. The move went much quicker (sans 3 flght of apt. stairs from before), and all was completed within 2.5 hours. They assembled my bed/frame and desk. They cannot hook-up washer/dryer connections, due to liability issues.
Upon payment, my bill was approx. $70 more than the original paperwork, due to a higher weight than thought, but the Supervior called the corporate office, and this overage was waived.
As this is a lengthyy review, I went throught many hoops until I found Atlanta Peach Movers (I saw one of the their trucks parked in a parking lot and decided to give them a try), so if you are in the process of moving particularly to a new state, I would recommend giving AP Movers a try! -

I used them for a move from Suwanee to Midtown. Overall the 4 man team was good until the end. The way they stacked boxes in my new place was RIDICULOUS. I didn't have much room and I would assume as professional movers they would know how to stack boxes in the most sensible way that would allow the resident to move throughout the apartment with boxes still unpacked. I guess they thought I would unpack all that same day. When I MYSELF have to pick up large boxes when I have hired 4 men that I am paying OVER $1000 for the move is unacceptable. I had just moved long distance about 16 months prior and they were great!! They stacked boxes sensibly and I was able to move around my apartment with no problem. They made use of the space the RIGHT way. I can't even count how many boxes I had to move myself. And I guess after a while they could care less about what I marked on the boxes as to where to place the items. They just stacked things wherever. So I was forced to re-stack and move boxes WHILE THEY ARE STILL THERE into the right places. Why didn't I get them to do it? Because I refused to pay for more time for them to fix things they should have done right the first time. Not to mention me looking for items and I find the box in my storage unit (in the hall of the apartment complex). Ummm... did it have the word storage on it? NO!!! So why is that box in the storage closet? I guess I totally wasted my time labeling boxes. I even tried to contact management (Sherry) at the main office several times. I spoke to my rep and Sherry via phone and email (I even took pictures of how my boxes were stacked and placed wherever and in the wrong rooms). After waiting to receive a return phone call by the person in charge of customer service... I never heard anything (even months later). I tried following up several times but nothing. The person was always out of town or not in the office. I guess my $1000+ payment wasn't even worth a call back. I WILL NEVER REFER ANYONE TO THEM. Don't use them!!! Not worth the $. As stressful as moving is... I don't need to waste my money on hiring professional movers for a less than professional job. I shouldn't be sweating moving boxes when I have hired other people to do the work. Friends that saw how they put my stuff in the apartment (from the pics I took) said it looked like I hired people off the street :-/

Relatively quality work. A bit difficult trying to get hold and coordinate with the local rep to schedule and make changes. One of the main appeal was that the local rep indicated the company's approach was to have "the packers who pack up things will also travel along with the goods and unpack them at the destination, and they get a bonus for doing a good job". Turns out there are separate crews involved: packers, loaders, and shipping. They stay under the price quoted, not exactly the cheapest, but still a decent moving company compared to the ones we have used before for out of state moves.

The team at Atlanta Peach Movers made a typically stressful experience as pleasant as possible. The estimate was accurate and the moving team worked meticulously and tirelessly to complete the job within the time projected. I wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone planning a move.

Yes, we finally escaped Cobb County, and Atlanta Peach Movers helped us do it! Thank you APM for providing professional, courteous, and careful service to us. The team finished the move in record time and was totally reasonably priced. Plus, APM called before, during, and after the move to make sure we were happy with their service. Who does that anymore?

I have to admit that I am very disappointed in my services with Atlanta's Peachtree Moving Company. I just moved from Boston, MA and hired two individuals to move my stuff in this past Sunday. I will go into detail but I can promise you that you will NOT get your money's worth here... here's why:
1.] Slow - the movers were SO slow that it took them a total of 4 hours to move me into a 1br apartment. Some of you reading may think, well she had a lot of stuff? NOT the case. I had rented a 16" Penske and filled it with my bedroom (headboard, bed frame, box spring, and two dressers), my living room furniture (2 piece sectional, 2 chairs, a chest, tv, and 2 bookcases), and kitchen/misc boxes (approx 14). In the eyes of professional movers, this can be done in no more than 2 hours... oh AND I had an elevator in my building for them,
2.] Money - I hired movers in Boston for $68/hr whereas Peachtree movers charged me a whopping $109/hr (nearly doubled) and required a $100 deposit.
3.] The actual movers - they had trouble putting together my mirror and bedframe... if I wasn't paying for it, I would have put it together myself. Did I mention it wasn't complicated to assemble?!?!? Oh and if you are looking for them to carry heavy things, forget about it. Your time and money will be sunk into their struggle to even get it off the truck let alone in the building and up to your apartment.
If I had to do it all over again, I would have pick another company to work. I am more than sure the services that I were paying for were adequate to the size of my pocket.
I don't recommend using this company at all, unfortunately. Which I had to admit is a shame because the Account Executive (JR) was very nice to me when scheduling and the woman who called asking about my services was also too friendly. However, I was not paying to make friends but to move me in.... -

Not the worst, but not the best either. This was my second move in one week (Left Aylesbury Farms Apts after one week of screwjobs, but that's in another review). Since the movers that moved me the week before were not available on short notice, I ended up going with Atlanta Peach movers. They told me they needed to use a 3-man crew, I reluctantly agreed since I was in a bind. The 3rd guy ended up doing NOTHING the entire time. I guess he was in the back of the truck making sandwiches or something. He did come in and spend 30 minutes in my bathroom, though, so at least I knew he was actually there. I must say that they did decent work. They padded and shrink wrapped all the furniture just fine. There were no issues with scratches or damages and they did the move in a fair amount of time (4 hrs, 15 minuets for 2 bedroom apartment). My biggest issue is the price and the pointless 3rd man. 8 days earlier, I had 24/7 Moving do this exact same move (just in reverse). They sent out 2 men and those guys did the move in just under 4 hours. Atlanta Peach movers cost me an extra $170 for the exact same move. I bet if that 3rd guy actually did some work they could have cut the time down and actually saved me money (or at least cost the same as my prior 2 man move with 24/7 Moving). Basically I paid for an extra person to direct the other 2 guys and take a dump. Total scam, in my opinion. I like to pay people to work, not "manage".

Atlanta Peach Movers proved to be a great experience. I read the reviews on here along with several others. I ended up pricing 4 local movers but went with APM. I am very happy with my choice and would use them again, as well as recommend to others. My crew of three guys was fast, efficient, friendly and helpful. I was on a strict budget and they worked with me to make sure I was happy.

I contacted Atlanta Peach because of all of the great reviews and personal recommendations. We were going through a very traumatic move (my father had a stroke on 4/23 and we found out on 5/5 that we would have to move him and my step mom from their 3rd floor apartment to a first floor unit by the weekend.) and I knew we wouldn't be able to do it without some professional help. I called and spoke with JR, explained the situation, and he immediately had me estimated, scheduled, and prepared for the move. Over the course of the next day and a half, I had to call JR to reschedule the move THREE times due to my father's changing status and changing location (hospital to rehab) and each time, JR and his team were so incredibly compassionate and understanding. They were also very thorough in explaining everything to me to the point where I had no additional questions. When we finally ended up moving on Saturday, JR sent out Harvey and his crew of men to help pack and move my parents, which was such a relief in all of the stress we were going through. Everyone was so professional and efficient; they definitely exceeded my expectations, which were already high! I will definitely use Atlanta Peach every time I move!!

I just used Atlanta Peach Movers for a 2 weeks ago. I am very satisfied with my choice. The crew that was sent was very professional, courteous, & respectful. They did a superb job. It did take a bit longer than I expected, but that was okay because they were very careful in everything they moved. I won't need to ever look for a mover again. Atlanta Peach Movers will be my choice.
