It's like the trailer park version of Panera.
While traveling through South Carolina visiting clients my boss and I decided to stop into ABC to buy a box of pastries to bring to our meeting. Their selection was vast and the treats looked delicious.
We decided it might be appropriate to sample a little sum'in sum'in for ourselves. I chose the croissant and a diet coke - lifetime on the hips... With tasty treats at reasonable prices, you can overlook the tacky decor and "empty blank stare" service from slow staffers.
Would I go back? Yes.
Would I feel good about myself after? No. -

BAD!!!
I live down the street from this ATL Bread Co. So I desperately wanted them to be good so I could use it as a quick meal on the regular basis. Not to be so... I will never cross their threshold again.
1) Surly and unresponsive customer service at the counter.
2) Salad so old and wilted, I threw it away. (Thank goodness Chic-a-fil was close)
3) Completely messed up my order. I was so pissed at the wait, I didn't even ask them to fix the mess up.
4) Depressing and dank atmosphere.
Summary: Save yourself some time and money. Got to Chic-a-fil next door or drive down to Panera Bread on Woodruff. This place isn't worth the pavement it's built on.
FYI: This is the worst review I've written on Yelp, to date. -

I used to go to this Atlanta Bread every Sunday morning after church for coffee. Probably a good 75% of the time the coffee is cold. They make coffee and put it in those little coffee carafes. The problem is that they don't ever check to make sure that it is fresh. I have started driving to the Panera out by my fiancee's house simply because the coffee is excellent and the muffins are fresher.
This store is also a little bit dirty normally. Personally I really dislike the poorly-created mural that covers one of the walls in the restaurant. This ABC really needs help.
Overall it's still an ABC, and the food is generally good; if you want a great deli/cafe experience you are gonna have to find another place. -

ABC is a decent substitute for an area that is lacking a Panera. Today's specialty soup was butternut squash. Being a chilly day I chose to try the soup in a sourdough bread bowl. Big fan of all this bread! Carbs. Soup was pretty good and a nice sized portion.
Free wi-fi and plenty of pastry treats to satisfy a slight sweet tooth. Got the pumpkin muffin top. Just right! -

Category: Takeout (with informal seating)
A few of us have been lucky enough to experience Loaves of Soup. For the uninitiated out there this generally means a loaf of bread (typically sourdough) which has been hollowed out and filled with a tasty soup. To finish off it's covered like a pumpkin with the portion of the loaf that was cut to open it up.
Tasty? Oh yes, but one thing must be stressed about the Atlanta Bread Company first and foremost - they are the best at this type of fare hands down. During my travels I have found other establishments which offer Loaves of Soup as well, however, none have ever compared.
With a nice atmosphere for casual dining it's highly recommended for quick lunches or even on-the-go pickups.
*All of CJ's reviews fall into three categories - Fine Dining, Casual Dining, or Takeout. To give fair consideration to all types of restaurants one must not consider the same judging factors in any of these three categories. For fine dining the ambiance is lent greater weight, while for takeout a majority of the weight is placed upon taste and convenience. -

I'm not sure why you would find yourself in this town, except to visit maybe the BMW or Michelin Centers. We were here for a major karate tournament and needed something better than what our hotel offered. This is a great place to sit down for a quick breakfast or lunch. Very good selection of breads and bagels. Great option to Starbucks across the street. We ended up patronizing the Atlanta Bread Company 4 times, Starbucks 0.
