Great bread, good pastries, decent lunch, ok coffee.

My favorite Lunch spot nearby work. Although Panera has better soups, I prefer ABC because of the bread. The 9 grain is thick, chewy, and fluffy. They have more variety with options like breakfast sandwiches, pizza, pasta, and a more robust pastry case. It's also a bit cheaper than Panera.
My Favs:
The Roasted turkey sandwich with 9 grain with everything.
The California Avocado Sandwich
The roasted corn chowder -

The food is pretty good. I had the Chargrilled Chicken Pesto Panini with chips and a drink. I will say that I wish they offered a different selection of chips. Other than that, the place is huge and they are pretty quick with ordering and getting your food out. Didn't really need to talk to the staff once you have your food so this is a pretty easy place to review. I didn't experience any lines or any problems.

The food was pretty good. I had the California Avocado sandwich with a side of mandarin oranges. They bring the food to your table, which is nice, and I was served really quickly. The dining area is pretty large, with a lot of seating. The drink station is in an awkward spot and it seemed that everyone was trying to avoid bumping into each other. There is outdoor seating, which will be nice once the weather is cooler. It reminded me of Panera a lot.

The Atlanta Bread Company is a close cousin of Panera Bread in the chain bakery-cafe category. You walk up to a bakery counter, order, and take a number to put on your table. Like Panera, it has a menu of fresh sandwiches and soups but unlike Panera, it also serves personal pizzas.
My margherita pizza had a great crust and fresh mozzarella but was unfortunately made with diced tomatoes that gave off enough moisture to make the center of the pie soggy. It was good but should have had more spices and slices of tomatoes instead.
Atlanta Bread Company is a good place to go for lunch if you want something quick, simple, and relatively healthy. -

Good food at very reasonable cost. Omelettes are great as are the sandwiches.

I know this is a chain and I typically like small, specialty bakeries. But I SOOOO miss this place. We used to live in Northglenn and would go there every week for a late lunch or snack. I just went down there a couple times this weekend. I'm so disappointed they don't have a store in Longmont and/or Fort Collins. Instead we're relegated to Panera which doesn't hold a candle to Atlanta Bread Company. Staff is very friendly and efficient. Their bread is amazing. Their sandwiches and soups are very tasty. And the only down side to their pastries is that they're delicious...I can't afford to eat that kind of stuff that often.
Anyway, great little nook if you're up by 104th. -

Every month or so I'll tire of the few sandwich shops in the area and get a hankering for ABC.
I'm not exactly sure why I'm drawn to it because the food isn't amazing but also not horrible either. I always have a panini, usually the Turkey Club and it's always good. The occasional time I've had a desert from their well sized bakey, it's also been good.
Nothing earth shattering but a good lunch. -

Decent -- a nice alternative to Panera.
