If you like Panera, you'll LOVE ABC.  Seriously, I recommend them to everyone.  Sandwiches are awesome.  Good, fresh ingredients on amazing fresh bread.  I particularly enjoy the Avocado Sandwich, I've been ordering this thing since at least 2003, possibly longer.  I think it comes standard on the Tomato Focaccia bread now, which is really good, but I always prefer it on baguette or sourdough.

This location is pretty decent, we always make a stop in here even if it's to get a sandwich for later.

    DON'T ORDER EGGS!

How hard is it to fry or scramble an egg?  Or make an omelet? I was shocked to find out that Atlanta Bread eggs (now served all day) are defrosted frozen omelet's!  Like rubber, tasteless and absolutely non-edible.  They CLAIM they make them, but you will not be fooled. The potatoes that come with it are old, salty, re-heated.  I wouldn't go near the French toast.

Otherwise, this place is a step up from Panera Bread and I eat lunch here often.  The salads are creative, the pasta is good, many of the sandwiches are super tasty. I LOVE the French Onion and Baja Chicken Enchilada soup .  The bread and muffins are yummy and they always have samples on the counter.   Beware that a lot of their sandwiches are bready, too much bread.  Plus, there's too much mayo in their chicken and tuna salads.

All in all, I like Atlanta Bread.  It's those darn frozen eggs that bring the place down a star.

Usually I try to steer clear from chains but I. just. can't. help. myself. I love you, ABC.

Yes, there's free wifi, so there's always tons of people with furrowed brows staring at their laptops, but there's also socially awkward 20-somethings playing "Magic: the gathering" (PEOPLE STILL DO THAT???) if you look closely.

I have to second the notion that it sucks the entrance is on Main, through the "wind tunnel" as someone else put it, and through the crowded tweens on the town... or through Barnes and Noble, which manages to have more tweens on the town.

But really, I can't put into words how life-changing the Chicken Waldorf salad is. If you like chicken salad at all, you HAVE TO TRY IT. seriously. sweet Jesus. It's pretty popular, so if you get there late at night chances are they've run out of the asiago foccacia they make it on (a good sign- they have fresh goods coming in daily). Also, the soups are also pretty yummy. I'm not a big panini or pasta person, so I stick with what I know's good. Also, the pickles are decent- nothing special, but definitely decent.

The other thing is that the staff is SO SO SO SO SO friendly. "What would you like? You know...even if we didn't have it, I'd try to make it for you." Some more so than others, but it's rare to come to a chain where the cashiers consistently take the moment with you to small talk.

Atlanta breaddd Hmmm.... Just another copy of Panera.
I dislike this place because of the food.
I only eat Pizza here, I have tried their breakfasts(Omelets) and they were alright.
The pizza is oily, but the cheese is good, but very oily.
Why is it that every place is either OILY or SALTY? :\
You can get better food in Panera or Whole Foods.
The tea variety sucks. It tends to get crowed and it becomes a pain to find tables.
The staff is ok, not too friendly and not too annoying, they are just alright.
This place needs a new attitude if they want to be better, but then again, this is another chain restaurant just like McDonalds or Burger King, just healthier (i think).

I like this place. Free WiFi and excellent bread and soups. Love the chili.

Some will not like the small portions of meat on the sandwiches but that is not a downside for me.

A Billion Times Better than Panera!

We go to Atlanta Bread about twice a month for a Friday-family-eat-out night.  The sandwiches are always very generous portion-wise, unlike my last Panera experience, where we got charged almost 6 dollars for HALF of a kids' PB and J!  The cookies are also a highlight for us -- they always taste fresh out of the oven and there are lots of different kinds to suit everyone's tastes in the family.  The overall quality and value for what you pay is terrific.

My only complaint is the state of the bathrooms.  They seem to become more and more run down every time we go. The last time we were there, the toilets were in pretty disgusting shape, and there was also no soap to wash your hands of said ickiness (it was a bad day to leave the hand sanitizer at home).  We alerted the staff to the situation, but unfortunately nothing got done about it.

Bottom line -- go to enjoy some great soup, sandwiches and cookies for a good price, but make sure you bring your hand sanitizer with you for the restroom. :)

An amiable and tacit place to grab some free WiFi. A sandwich perhaps? No, the free WiFi that is usually working in the daytime hours is what you came here for, folks. Aside from the free wireless connection, this easy going, cafe styled sandwich bakery serves it's purpose to please both Internet user and stomach.

I've already explained the remarkable interwebs, so let me explain their sandwiches. Their constitution of conjoined breads consist of lusciously flavored ingredients, however, they are minuscule in size - even more slender than an English finger sandwich. It will NOT fill an American sized stomach - maybe satisfy the craving of a lesser sized belly. This store sells meats from pastrami to provolone and salmon to bacon, with their aforementioned narrow sized sandwiches. Soups like their strange looking squash concoction taste hearty and good ... enough to fulfill the appetite of a web surfing traveler. Salads come served up to you like any other meal (to stay) on opaque plates with shockingly positive looking utensils. Quite a high standard for some random cafe in the middle of urbanity, wouldn't you agree? There's a soda fountain by one wall, where an expansive selection of sugared beverages lay in wait. Oddly enough, this cafe sells beer in the bottles for umm ... intoxicated facebooking amidst sandwich eaters? Rather peculiar.

On some days, the staff is just friendly, but from time to time, there's one random fella or gal that treats everybody as If they were monarchs at a feast. Pastries are produced each day and delivered to this store for freshness. It's something I'm sure anybody who spends their time plopped in front of an LCD screen would enjoy.

So this is one of the closest restaurants around when looking for lunch at work so I decided to give it a go-- a couple of times.  Definitely not one of my favorites, I always feel the food is either too hot or too cold and to me and Goldi Locks the perfect temperature is key to delicious dining.  So far I have enjoyed their soups-- I have had the Wisconsin cheese and I believe a tomato one before and they were both delicious.  The pasta is kind of on the cold side, with not enough juicy sauces to keep it pasta like but the chicken select sandwich with the onions and so called red peppers is pretty delish... just don't expect a good serving of red peppers or you will be let down like myself-- also don't bite too hard into it or you will burn the top layer of your mouth right off, but other than that no complaints!
    =D

Your standard sandwich/salad/soup affair - nothing outstanding, but you can always know what to expect here. The grilled paninis are well toasted (the cuban is yum), and having a choice with the combos (soups/salad/sandwiches) are great. I'm a big fan of the chicken salad and the California avocado sandiwch. Its basically on par with Panera (very similar offerings), so not very unique in that aspect. However, the food is consistent and filling, the cookies are huge and yummy, and I love the kettle chips. A place you can linger in for hours on end, with no one shooing you out, and a friendly staff.

I like this place, despite the fact that I'm allergic to wheat and it has "Bread" in its name.  ;)  In fact, they only have 1 dish that I know I can eat, due to my difficulties with food - but it's really good!  It's the "Balsamic Bleu" salad.  Leafy greens with apples and cranberries and walnuts and cheese.  I know there are other things in there (definitely onions, and maybe tomatoes?), but my memory isn't working too well right now.  Anyway, it is delicious, and I have had it several times.

My knitting/crochet group meets there, and I have been there for lunch with friends.  Everyone really seems to like it.  My fiance loves their soups in bread bowls, and I've heard nice things about their pizzas.  Makes me a little sad that I can't eat that stuff!  But I do love my salad.

Also worth mentioning: their desserts look very good.

    Pretty decent place... Yes yes

I really give it a 3.5 and would've given it a 4 but my stomach felt a bit suspect after eating it.

This spot is a mix of Panera & Au bon Pain. The assortment of breads is great as well as the menu selections.
The best is that all the items have the calories marked right next to it, which for me made the decision of what to get a lot easier.
The bonus is that they even have beer... Bottled though.

The place is big, nice looking, clean, and best of all, has wi-fi.

ABC has the fittings for the young, definitely the mids, and the old.

Despite the stomach rumblings, I'll easily give this place another shot.

This place is one of the few good eateries in White Plains, barring the location. There's no entrance from inside the City Center, thus forcing you to walk in the wind-tunnel that is Main Street, which can be a bit much in the winter. Also, if you're in a hurry or balancing a lot of food, be forewarned: hipster t(w)eens seem to think they can dodge the cops by congregating in the vestibule and inside right by the entrance.

With that said, if you're looking for a good place to go for lunch on a weekday or to do some studying while enjoying a sandwich or tea (skip the coffee; it always tastes funny), ABC is right up your alley. The food is priced well, it's tasty stuff, and you aren't hungry when you leave. My personal favorites are the Bella Basil Chicken and the Bistro Chicken Press sandwiches although their soups are great too! The food is prepared well consistently and I'm usually not waiting longer than five minutes unless it's the lunch rush on weekdays.

As for the free wifi: yes, they have it and you don't need to register for it or anything like that, but the bar seating near the window is usually full of people so if you find a spot to sit, get used to giving up some personal space. Another thing to note (and they have it posted) is if there's a lot of people at lunch or dinner, they might ask you to move from one of the tables to the bar area with your laptop. Other than those few tiny problems, ABC's great in my book.

ABC has never been my favorite- it's a poor mans Panera. However, due to it's proximity to Target and B&N, I eat there when I have my toddler niece in tow. The food is below average. Their kid meals could use more thought. But this doesn't matter, because after today I will not be going back. Why? As I walked my niece to the back to use the restroom, I saw a giant cockroach on the wall! Disgusting! Do some housekeeping, ABC!

I go here all the time for lunch.  It is delicious!  There are many sandwiches to choose from and I have never had a bad one.  Everything comes with potato chips but try the corn/bean salad.  I'm normally not a big fan of corn-things, but this salad is delicious and a much healthier choice than potato chips.  Service is always friendly and welcoming.

This store has a long counter in front of their window that's always filled with  dweebs on laptops. So, bring your laptop and get the tuna salad sandwich which is the only good thing I've had there. The coffee drinks are pretty good and they offer a frequent coffee card. Parking sucks and most likely you'll be forced to park in the city center lot which is annoying and costly. If you do park there, you can walk through Barnes and Noble. This place is like a Cosi or Panera Bread.

I used to go here once in a while, but now that Panera is across the street, I don't see a reason to go back.

The sandwiches are OK, though overpriced.  My staple order was the Fettucine Salmon, which was always "good enough".  The one thing they have going for them which is a huge plus in our household, is they're almost always serving some type of chili, which Panera doesn't seem to have.

most times, there are just better alternatives within a block's walk. Want pasta? Go to Zanaros. Sandwich? Go to John's Deli or Panera. Soup? Panera. Free wifi? Barnes & Noble or Panera.

Found this place by accident while walking down Main St. today. Not bad, but this place is very similar to Panera Bread (which is on the same street, I think). Anyways, I had one of their signature sandwiches. Not bad, but nothing to brag about. Perfect for lunch time. They serve healthy food items as well.

This is a great spot for a quick bite before seeing a movie at the adjacent theater.  The soup / sandwich fare is very similar to Panera, but the pasta menu gives you a few more choices.  The staff is always very friendly and joking, but not to the point where it's obnoxious.  There are better full-service restaurants nearby, but this is my go-to place after running errands at the nearby City Center.
