Great food wonderful price. 2 people get a shared app, two entrees, and a shared dessert for $30.00! It is a smaller menu but all of the food on it has been very good. This deal is Sunday through Thursday and kids eat free on Thursday. I had the mushroom raviolis and my husband the steak tips. Both wonderful.

This is the first time I have been here since the fire. The Tavern is closed upstairs, so you have to go into the downstairs dining room. It was packed with snooty people, actually. Just really not my style. We only got a couplabeahs and they didn't have a very good selection on tap, so Guiness it was.
The menu selection was pricey. We didn't get anything for this reason.
The guy next to me got fried fish and it smelled like fish. Pew.
Oh, and my husband got lost trying to leave the restaurant (inside) and ended up in the hotel part... maybe it was tricky, but my instincts tell me he probably had one too many.Listed in: Watering holes

Brunch was good. Prime rib & ham carving stations, omelets to order, lots of desserts - all yummy. Good service, too.

I can't believe I haven't reviewed Atkinson before!?!?!?
This is going to have to be numerous reviews in one as we've been to Atkinson in numerous ways...
#1 Atkinson Resort as a wedding venue
10/10!!! We got married in Las Vegas but then wanted to celebrate with all of our friends/family back home so we essentially had a wedding minus the ceremony at Atkinson. Nicolette is awesome and our day-of-coordinator Rachael was phenomenal. They happily dealt with my delivery of 150 silver chargers and hundreds of votives (with specific layout instructions) and were just lovely. Food can often suffer when made in large quantities but not at Atkinson. The spinach and bacon salads were crisp, delicious and perfect! The upgrade to lobster ravioli was worth every penny. The stuffed chicken and petite filet was delish! We skipped the wedding cake and had an ice cream sundae bar. They happily worked with me to add brownies and strawberries etc. Oh - and we had a martini ice luge - awesome! There are tons of amazing photo locations, the staff are amazing and the price is very affordable compared to a number of locations closer to Boston.
#2 The Stagecoach Grille
Great restaurant. Consistently good food. Yummy and generous buffet, Also great wine list with more than the typical NH chardonnay or chardonnay options.
#3 The bar (forget the official name)
Friendly staff. You can get a great breakfast before golf - yummy poached eggs, bacon, English muffin for less than $5. We had a late lunch there today. I had a chicken caesar salad and the chicken was freshly grilled - yum - and no browned lettuce bits. Mr H had the fish and chips and the fish was SO fresh and tasty.
And of course the golf is awesome....
Other useful tips - Atkinson has lots of smaller function rooms - perfect for bridal showers, birthday parties etc.
If I have to find fault with anything it would probably be that the "bridal suite" is just fine - not spectacular - but all of your gifts are collected/delivered to your room along with a nice note and bottle of wine so it's all good :) -

My wife and I have been eating here off and on for the past several years and I have to say it is consistently above average. High quality food for a reasonable price in a really nice atmosphere (we usually eat in the restaraunt downstairs) - very nice decor but never feels stuffy. In winter they keep it toasty and warm and in the summer you can sit out on the patio and watch the sun go down over the beautiful grounds. Service/staff is always pleasant and attentive. I highly recommend this place. Absolutely top notch.
Tip: The Cobb Salad is the most amazing salad we have ever eaten anywhere. It is fantastic. You just have to see it - piled high with very fresh and fantastically prepared ingrediants (they even roast the corn themselves). Add beef tips or chicken on top and you have an incredible meal. -

I'm basing this off of a few times I have been there and for one wedding. It was ok! Nothing bad and nothing outstanding, I personally wouldn't want a function here.
The food in the restaurants however, is pretty darn good, and I do recommend trying them out. Breakfast/Brunch buffet at the stagecoach is awesome!

The Atkinson Country Club has it all... a beautiful golf course, fine restaurant, reception halls, resort, and a sports bar. I've only been to a couple of events, so I'm basing this review on the Sunday brunch buffet.
The brunch is available between Labor Day weekend and Fathers Day, every Sunday from 10a-2p. The price is $20.95 per adult, but worth every penny. You can really take your time to indulge in a full course meal. The spread is incredible... There's about ten chafers lined up with both breakfast and lunch items inside. That's where you'll find the scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, pancakes, and home fried potatoes. All of which are pretty good. Typically as the day goes on, breakfast slowly transitions into lunch. Lunch tends to vary between chicken and/or fish with vegetables. There are three chef stations, complete with hand-carved meats, omelettes, and waffles -with all the trimmings! The omelets have always been cooked-to-perfection, and the best I've had at any restaurant. There's also plenty of bread, pastries, crepes, salads, and desserts, so worth saving room for. The staff constantly brings out refills of everything, plus new items every now and then. You will not leave hungry or disappointed. The quality, taste, and variety make Atkinson Country club the best brunch buffet around! -

Two weddings in two years. Same room. Atkinson does things right. Very nice place, plenty of parking, several bars on the property while you wait for the bridle party. Good food. Fair drink prices. They do a good job at getting the food out quick to all the tables. Only complaint on the food would be the sides are small. And when my friend that was in the bridle party got up for maybe five minutes, they cleared her plate away. Lucky for her I was close so she just finished mine.

One of the best breakfast buffets I have ever had! The price is great too, 20.95! Coffee and juice was included in that price! There was an omelet bar, a waffle bar, carving station, salad table with fruit and a bread table with muffins and donuts as well. The hot dishes included scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages, the best home fries I have had, french toast, pancakes and delicious banana crapes. There was also a great selection of desserts, including strawberry shortcake and crme brulee. The food was delicious!!! Our waitress was great, filled the coffee when needed, checked on us a few times. The omelet station and the waffles station guys were very friendly. I will definitely be going back!!

Today we celebrated Dennis's Birthday! He has been wanting to try out this place so I suggested it for brunch and had also invited some friends to come along and join us.
I called for reservations in the morning for 12:00 noon and they could not fulfill the request until 1:00, which was fine, except when we got there, there was many empty tables. Go figure!
Now to the meat and bones of this review:
What a very lovely place and setting! We were located on the grounds of a beautiful golf course surrounded by full fall foliage. They even had a huge deck with tables and chairs for eating el fresco. If only had I known!
This day they had Sunday brunch buffet which consisted of: Scrambled eggs, home fries, bacon, sausages, omlette and pasta station, were they make everything to order. Also a waffle station, meat carving (prime rib, ham, and pork), salads, baked fish, chicken, mashed potatoes, smoked salmon, & antipasti & tonz of pastries and desserts and so much more.
Service was tops and attentive. I spied a fire place which was not on but I was thinking how even nicer this place must be on a very cold January day.
$21.00 pp. I also spied that they have some special seasonal prix- fixed dinners with wine pairing advertised which looked fairly interesting.
We all ate pasta and prime rib till we almost BURST!! What a nice day. Not too crowded here and less than 2 miles from home. Sorry I did not come here sooner. -

I've been here a few times for dinner & with anywhere from 2 to 12 people. It's usually good though not as consistent as I'd like. I've heard good things about the brunch buffet but I haven't done that yet. It's a nice place, though I always expect it to be fancier because it's a "Resort and Country Club". Three stars because I'm a little let down by the decor and the fact that the food is sometimes better than other times. I wish I could do 3.5 stars because it's not average but it's not 4 stars either. It's another place where I'd be glad to go if someone else suggested it, but it will always be someone else who makes the suggestion.

Atkinson, NH
As a resident of Atkinson, and a golfer at that, my wife and I have been to ACC many times. We moved here 3 years ago, and I can't even begin to say how many times we have been here. But something has changed over the last 3 or 4 visits.
The last debacle went like this.
I ordered 6 oz fillet with shrimp, prepared medium, baked potato, vegetable. My wife ordered 6oz fillet, prepared medium, garlic mashed potato, vegetable. We had Cheese Nachos as an appetizer.
The only shining light of the meal was the nachos. They were delicious, with sweet corn and roasted red peppers.
Dinner took over an hour to come out! That's right, to come out! When it did come out, both of our steaks were cooked rare-medium rare. By this time, our one year old daughter had just about enough so we got it wrapped up to go. When we got it home, the steak was cooked better, but still not medium.
The meals here used to be very good, and the quality is still there. It appears that there has been a lot of turn over in the kitchen. Be prepared to wait, and send your food back. At a price tag of $80, with tip, don't feel bad about sending it back. -

I moved to the area over two years ago. I have witnessed ACC go downhill within this time. The food takes FOREVER to come out- they want to get at least one drink into you before they even will let you order. They constantly change the menu (and take off my favorite items; spicy calamari, stuffed portabello!) Some of the staff is friendly but it doesn't seem that any of them are happy or like each other. However, the nachos are very good- love the roasted red peppers and sweet corn! My husband really enjoys their sandwiches. I will go back occasionally to see if things get any better.

Definitely a fan... of the bar. I'll write another review after we eat dinner there.
