I've always imagined living in a real neighborhood, where you have real locally owned and operated grocery stores with people who know their products and your name. Walking into Athens, that's the feeling I get.
The deli counter is what makes this place the bee's knees. Domestic Feta for $3.99/lb. Green olives for $4.99/lb. Prices better than Dominic's for a better product! They have a wide range of olives, meats, and cheeses that are just delicious, all hiding behind that little glass counter.
They also carry Greek alcomoholic treats, like Retsina wine in big jugs. And my favorites: Dolmodakia (stuffed grape leaves) in tins and giant butter beans in tomato sauce in tins. Yummy. -

This is a great little store in Greektown. I've started coming here every weekend to buy some imported Greek feta and pitted Kalamata olives and I don't even live in the neighborhood. They also carry some of the best tasting olive oil I've ever had in my life! I still need to try some of their imported honey, spices, and teas but if my previous visits are any indication, I'm sure they will be fantastic.
Everyone working here is really friendly and helpful with any questions. It's definitely worth checking out! -

Mostly regular convenience store items, not enough greek.
I have been looking for a good greek deli/grocery store and conveniently just moved a couple of blocks from the heart of greek town. After a quick google search, came across the place and read the yelp reviews. I was hoping for a little more. It's mainly a place to get items you would normally get at White Hen with just a sample of a few greek items. I'll continue my search for a more full service greek grocery/deli with more to choose from then some olives, oil, and canned items. -

This place has everything you'd want to find in a little neighborhood grocery store, plus a selection of unique international delights. Service is always friendly.

This is your typical neighborhood ethnic groccery store. They had everything I was looking for in one stop to prepare for our greek easter. Prices were decent and workers were nice. No complaints here.

Best olives around! Great prices on herbs!
Unfortunately they are now gone. I saw the building on fire from my apartment yesterday. I hope they rebuild soon! -

It was an awful shame when this place closed after the Costas fire, and it looks like it might not open up again. I miss the awesome feta and olives from the deli, and especially the large bags of Krinos Greek oregano still on the branch--that stuff really shows you that not all herbs are created equal.

Love this place. I come here to get the cheese I need to make saganki and the noodles for Pastichio, which you can't find anywhere else except Caputo's (too far). I can't leave without getting some Kalamata olives with the pits!
