Q:
Are they still changing their menu regularly since the new owners took over? For the last 3-4 months the brunch menu on the website has been exactly the same. I went twice, but months 3 and 4 chose somewhere else.
A:
I was there yesterday and the server told me they'd most likely be switching to more of a fall brunch menu by the next one.

Excellent service. While starters, mussel pots, and desserts were good to great, entrees were just okay and kinda boring. For starters, their "Bites" special of Breaded and Fried Bleu Cheese-Stuffed Olives were amazing while their Flatbread Pizza was pretty good and fun- topped with a sunny-side up egg. Then their ATH Mussel Pot had this lovely spicy chorizo and saffron cream sauce that I took home to use on pasta the next day. Their mussel pot could be a starter or entrée and they offer 2 different sizes but the larger one comes with fries.
For entrees, the Caramelized Lamb with whipped sweet potatoes, brussel sprouts, and hash browns and the Duck Leg Confit with spaetzle and veggies lumbered along with pretty skimpy sides and sauces which could have helped brighten them. For dessert, the 3-flavor "tasting" of ice cream with my choices of Spiced Hot Chocolate (get this!), Rum Raisin (seasonal special), and Cookie Crunch was great for sharing. The chocolate flavor had a slightly smokey and alluring spice. Next time, I'm totally ignoring the entree section of the menu and getting a mussel pot as my main course.Helpful 72Thanks 0Love this 71Oh no 1 - Rachel B.Cranford, NJ213216186Jul 14, 2020Updated review
We had a wonderful outdoor meal! They have set up a beautiful covered space outside. Servers were all very conscious of following safety restrictions and food was perfect! I especially enjoyed the short ribs. We also started with the brussel sprouts which were incredible!

This restaurant is a great choice for a celebration or a nice meal. They seems a bit busier and overwhelmed the second time around but that didn't take away from the wonderful mean we enjoyed. From the apps to dessert we were happy with it all and will be looking forward to our next visit.

I had a fabulous lunch here yesterday with my friend.
Adam was terrific.
I liked the atmosphere and plenty of parking on a Thursday afternoon.
I found this place as a suggestion on yelp so it was worth the commute.
We had a nice little lunch.
Flat water bottle to start.
She had the tuna, and i ordered the Cobb salad
This place is a farm to table cottage theme.
My Cobb salad was REALLY shockingly fresh.
I mean the egg was slightly undercooked, it was beautiful.
There were literally strips of fresh bacon
I loved it!
My friend cleaned her plate
I loved my salad but thenportion was enormous and i wanted room for the lavender creme brûlée
Amazing!
Definitely would recommend and returnHelpful 6Thanks 0Love this 11Oh no 0 - 1823727488Dec 7, 2017
Usually if I go somewhere and end recommending it to a friend it's pretty damn good. If I text someone pictures in the middle of the meal, it's exceptional. The latter happened last Friday night when I had an absolutely memorable dinner and the best brussel sprouts I've ever eaten. Due to the plethora of other 5 star reviews I'm going to be brief. But like my fellow reviewers said, this place is outstanding. Food, service and ambience are all top notch. I mentioned it to a work friend who lives in the area who simply replied, yeah that place is awesome. And yeah it was.
Ordered the short ribs, mussels, octopus and their beyond amazing brussel sprouts and was completely blown away. Best new restaurant I've tried in the past year. Run there. You won't be sorryHelpful 11Thanks 0Love this 9Oh no 0 - 2641110610103Feb 6, 2016
The farm to table, locally sourced, idea is always a refreshing find in a restaurant. The location is very small and incredibly popular so make a reservation well in advance. I hear they add tables outside in the warmer months so it's a little easier to get a table. Service was top notch from the moment we entered. This is a BYOB place so plan accordingly. The menu is a little eclectic so if you are, or are dining with, a picky eater check the menu before you go. Everything we ordered was delicious. This is one of the few places I've seen affogato on the dessert menu and it was presented so nice.
Overall really nice atmosphere and great food. It is pricey and ridiculously loud inside. The crowd is a little on the uppity side. Go at least once.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Brandon B.PECK SLIP, NY14211Nov 1, 2019
We were very disappointed in our meal at A Toute Heure. We had heard excellent reviews of the restaurant when under the previous ownership, and although the reviews of the iteration under the new owners appeared mixed, we were excited to try it and the menu looked wonderful.
We were seated in a two top close to the door to the restaurant. Frequently during the meal, this created an uncomfortable draft from outside. In addition, the lack of a divider between the dining room and the serving area/kitchen creates an awkward space where many diners are positioned to look directly at the servers in an unpleasant, distracting manner. Despite these initial issues, we remained confident the food would be great, and the initial delivery of the complementary, delicious Parker House rolls, helped alleviate any concerns.
We opted to split the pizza with figs and guanciale as an appetizer, and then ordered the duck and the mussel pot for entrees. The pizza was a complete miss to us - the crust was far too thick, and the topping extremely heavy handed, especially the fig spread, which dominated the dish and which both my wife and I removed from a portion of the pizza to try and remedy the situation. We ate less than half.
Other problems ensued with the main dishes. The cook (medium rare) on the duck appeared spot on, but the meat itself was very tough and chewy. It wasn't clear whether this was a result of our specific piece of duck (which was entirely possible), or the preparation by the kitchen, either way, for $46 dollars, it was very disappointing. We had the full size, ATH Mussel Pot. They came with far too many mussels, a strange complaint we don't ever recall making, and they were under seasoned, and unevenly cooked. The waitress mentioned several times that bread would be delivered with the dish (something we didn't recall from the menu and which we thought would be strange given the mussels were served with fries), but alas, the aforementioned bread never materialized anyway. Luckily, the fries were crispy and well browned, the best element of the meal by far.
Overall, the restaurant over promised and drastically under delivered. We were really hoping to love the restaurant, but we could find nearly nothing that would bring us back.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jun 4, 2019
So last week we came for dinner and this is the first time we have been back since the new owners have been running the Resturant. Shame on me for not looking at their menu before we came. If we did we may not have eaten here. Don't get me wrong, the food was good, but it's missing something. I know this is a new establishment in that they wanted to make the menu theirs, but I don't feel the same excitement about eating there like I used to. In the past ATH used to offer different types of mussel dishes. As someone who likes mussels, I LOVED their mussels. To the point where I wasn't embarrassed to soak all juice in the bowl with bread when they were all eaten. I didn't have that this time. There was 1 mussel special, and the menu is more limited. We ordered the Beef Tartare which was pretty good. For the entree we both had the steamed black sea bass. This was also good. For desert was a fresh baked donut with a type of coffee. That's was probably my favorite part of the meal. I read the new owners bio and it's really cool that he is living his dream, but unfortunately I am not excited to eat at the new ATH. In the past the previous owners wold come out and talk to you, it was a comfortable place and it was comforting. I just don't fell that now. The servers were very pleasant and had to explain a few of the things that we were eating which came with the meals. I wish the new owners a lot of luck and success, but I won't be in a rush to come back.

The restaurant felt like a newly opened eatery, where the staff were not entirely trained. The hostess did most of the work while some waiters day dreamed. The food was mediocre while the prices were high. If the quality of the food was better, the prices would not be an issue. We had the mussels and it was bland. The oyster appetizer was overly salty. The hybrid truffles were not aromatic or added anything to the main dish. The tomato salad consisted of 16 pieces of bland tomato, demanding $14 for the dish. One free piece of bread per guest, additional pieces cost $1.50 - a joke to charge bread with already overall high prices.
Though I appreciated the restaurant prior to the new ownership, my review is independent of past experience.
I don't think I will ever go back.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jim R.Westfield, NJ735Feb 15, 2020
We were disappointed with our meal at A Toute Heure. We came for Valentine's Day dinner, which was a prix fixe menu. They were very busy, which may be why we felt the service was inattentive and rushed. The restaurant itself is beautiful, with a very nice ambiance. Unfortunately it was a cold evening, and the restaurant was very drafty and uncomfortably cold.
We started with a carpaccio, which we thought was a bit too thick and fatty. That was followed by a lobster bisque that was very good, but served lukewarm. Then there was a ravioli that was served with a delicious creamy sauce. The entree was a beef tenderloin that was cooked perfectly and was excellent. Unfortunately it was accompanied by potatoes au gratin that were undercooked and ruined the dish. Dessert was hit and miss for me. There was a bittersweet chocolate pie that was very good, but the bread pudding was dry and lackluster.
So hit and miss on the meal, and service that felt rushed and inattentive. Beautiful restaurant, but uncomfortably cold. When you're spending $200 on dinner, expectations are higher. I know there are new owners, so hopefully they can make adjustments. We're local and wanted to love our experience, but we won't be rushing back soon.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Snigdha T.Jefferson Park, Chicago, IL14411Sep 27, 2018
I wanted to checkout the place because of the great reviews and appealing interiors. However, if you are a vegetarian please don't come here! I had one option on the menu which was a fairly good salad but that's all.
The menu in general is just 5 items with limited flexibility. Also, the meal portions are so small that nobody at the table felt full. So basically over priced food with a long wait which will keep you wanting more (not in a good way). My friends and I came for brunch, and had to hunt for real food after.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
