Nora and Pilates saved me! I started going to Atelier Pilates and Nora, as I was recovering from a bad ankle break about a year ago. Before my injury, I was a fairly regular exerciser but my injury limited my mobility and my motivation.  After my first class of Pilates, I was hooked.  In 3 months my pain was severely reduced and my ankle mobility had increased so much, my doctors asked me what I had been doing.  After 5-6 months I began running in addition to taking classes twice a week.  My doctors couldn't believe my progress after Pilates.  I am now 7 months pregnant, and Pilates has helped me feel great and stay in good shape during my pregnancy.  I have taken classes with Nora, Barbara and Michelle and love them all.  They all give me great lessons and I learn and do new things each time, even while pregnant. I look forward to Pilates, in a way that I have never looked forward to any other kind of exercise. The class schedule and private lesson schedules are really flexible. If you want to start Pilates or are an aficionado, I can assure you you'll love this studio.  If you are new, start with a private lesson to learn the ropes.

I was new to Pilates and it was suggested by Dr. Grossi from Union Square Chiripractic to partake in this technique. I was in a lot of pain due to my low back and Pilates helped me strenghten my core and back muscles. I can't beleive more guys don't do Pilates. Developed by a man, it forces you to be strong, flexible and coordinated at the same time.

I discovered Atelier Pilates through a CoupMe, and I'm so glad I decided to check it out. I've taken lots of Pilates classes at various gyms, and I though I got a good workout from those, but the personalized attention and cozy spaces at Atelier Pilates is way better.

When you're in a Pilates class with one other person, you can't get away with sloppy or incorrect form like you can in a bigger class. I left each session feeling pleasantly calm and relaxed, knowing I'd also gotten a great workout.

Nora, the owner, is super-friendly but nothing (wobbly hips or bent arms) escapes her eagle eye when she's teaching. It's a lot more challenging that way, but I know it improved my technique.

If you're looking for a different kind of workout, try TRX suspension straps. It's amazing how many different muscle groups you can with a set of straps anchored to the wall! I was sore the next day, but it was the good kind of sore where I feel a sense of accomplishment.

Love this place! Been going for the last 4 months. When I started, I had no idea what Pilates even was- but with the help of the Atelier Pilates staff, and a little patience on my part, I have gotten up to speed.

The best thing about these classes is that they are small, usually somewhere from 4-6 people, but sometimes even less. This allows the instructors to 1) provide individualized attention and feedback during the classes, ensuring that you are executing the exercises correctly and 2) get to know you, your injuries, your strength/weaknesses, etc, and establish a relationship with you throughout the weeks. For example, the instructors know that 1) I have weight-loss and strengthening goals and 2) I like to work hard - and thankfully, they are willing to push me accordingly. Those with beginning skills or advanced skills are identified and the instructors have them do modifications to their exercises that are appropriate for their level.

I also love the instructors and most of the fellow clients and feel at home at Atelier Pilates. Nora, the owner, is terrific and lovingly ruthless in her teaching. I love TRX Training, and Ramon rocks my cardio/core/muscle strengthening world. I have also enjoyed taking mat/equipment classes with Barbara and Christine. You can try different classes and instructors and see what fits you best.

There are lots of options for classes here and the drop in price is pretty low comparatively. The space is small, in a house really. I prefer a studio feel and setting. Nora is a very nice woman but moved too fast during my Mat class. I was a newbie and prefer more explanation, I didn't know if I was doing the moves right or not.

I recently started attending classes at Atelier Pilates.  I am extremely pleased at the way these Pilates classes are run.  The classes are kept small (the space is limited) and because of the smaller classes there is personalized attention which is awesome.

Nora paid attention to everyone and didn't let anything slip by her.  Also I noticed that those in the class are at various levels and Nora is able to accommodate the differences while keeping the flow of the class going.

Love this place! I just started at this studio and went to a Reformer Plus, a Matt class and a TRX/matt class with Nora. I absolutely love it! I love that  this studio offers combination classes, I have not seen those ones being offered by any other pilates studio in Boston or Cambrigde. Last times I went there were only 3 attending the class! (= individualized attention)
