Review from Liz H.
San Francisco Bay Area
A whopping 9 members of my family stayed here for a wedding recently, sometimes with 13 of us at the table! But we felt entirely at home - actually, better than being at home, because we were so well taken care of.
The house is beautiful, spacious, well located. Every room is clean and provides exactly what you could wish for (a bottle of water? a newspaper? a takeout menu? a bathrobe?). The breakfasts are plentiful, the art on the walls is interesting, the outdoor spaces are peaceful, leafy refuges.
Don and Marco were helpful, knowledgeable hosts who accommodated my family gracefully in the middle of a crushing heat wave and our considerable wedding-related chaos. Thank you! -

My mother just recently stayed at this B&B while she was visiting me and my boyfriend. She loved it. The owner, Don, has done a wonderful job of creating a comfortable atmosphere that is inviting, warm and relaxing. I didn't see all the rooms but her's was beautiful with nice attention to detail - but most importantly her bed was awesome! She did have to share the bathroom with other guests, which wasn't an issue for her but I think they offer one room with a private bath.
I had breakfast with her the morning she left and it was delicious - and he set an extra place for me which was super sweet. It was a relief to find a place in Brooklyn that I felt comfortable with her staying in. She'll definitely be back. -

My husband and I just got married, and we hosted a small reception here. We rented the entire house for the night and had about 50 guests. The owner was gracious and accomodating, and the home is beautiful. It's spacious, airy, and full of amazing antiques, modern paintings, and an impressive library.
Each bedroom is luxurious without being ostentatious, the kitchen is well-stocked with cookware, and the location is stunning. It overlooks Prospect Park and is just steps from Grand Army Plaza. The balcony on the third floor and the backyard are both lovely, and there's a grand piano in the sitting room. I can't say enough good about how beautiful and tasteful this place is, and how amazing it is that the owner has made it available to the public. It's a fantastic place to stay for any visit to New York. -

this place is a true gem.
situated on a stunning block and right across from prospect park, this bed & breakfast is not only gorgeous, but totally affordable!
i have been looking - for quite some time - for a place i feel comfortable sending my out-of-town parents for overnight stays. this is it.
there are a few different rooms, all priced at $160 per night and up, and they are all beautiful, comfortable, and clean. the downstairs has a great kitchen and a beautiful sitting room, complete with a piano.
there are 2 outdoor spaces - one off the back of the kitchen and the other is a patio deck on the 3rd floor. beautiful.
i cannot say enough nice things about at home in brooklyn. i almost didn't want to write a review or tell anyone about this so that i can be sure to always get a reservation.... but goodness like this should be known by all!Listed in: Events Galore

This place was a total score. Right on the park and walking distance from all the cool stuff in Park Slope. Super homey and Don is hoot. Will definitely be back!

I want to live here, forever. This place is wonderful. It feels completely comfortable and homelike, there is space outside, and the kitchen is well-stocked with gadgets. I attended a party here and stayed overnight, and it was super-comfortable. The books, the DVDs, the little items left all around the house show confidence that the guests are mature people, there are no overbearing rules or signs all over the place that show it's a place of business. So nice. A+++

At Home in Brooklyn will always hold a special place in the hearts and minds of our family. We spent three wonderful weeks there when we were in between apartments with our newborn child... and despite the unusual situation, we felt totally at home.
We can't thank Don and Marco enough for their hospitality and we feel so lucky to have found them. The rooms were gorgeous, the location couldn't be better, and the breakfast was delicious. We can't say enough good things about them! -

My sister was married in Brooklyn and our family rented this entire B&B for the weekend. It is an absolutely beautiful historic house right across the street from Prospect Park, walking distance to the subway, restaurants, and bars. We were 8 adults and 2 babies (3 months and 13 months) and loved our stay here. The rooms and bathrooms are large and beautifully decorated. Don, the owner, was a wonderful host and source for recommendations. The continental breakfast was fantastic and allowed us to eat when we got up (which was staggered as we were all on different time zones!) I really appreciated all the little extra things that were provided that made our stay so much easier: 24 hour coffee/tea, fridge with water and drinks, children's gear (pack n play and highchair). I highly recommend this as an alternative to a hotel, especially for groups.
