    the lines are long.

    the employees are usually pleasant.

I am glad I only have to come once a year or so.

AT&T sucks!! Nothing but dropped calls and no reception in Forest Hills and Kew Gardens. I had a Blackberry with them before and you know what was their lame explanation for their lousy service?

Customer Service Rep - Sir, you're not getting any reception because there are too many passing vehicles near where you live.

Me - WTF are you talkin about?

Customer Service Rep - There are many drivers that are with AT&T, because of that; they are disrupting your reception in the area you live in.

    Verdict - Don't sign with AT&T wireless.

I came here to return a phone for an account that was set up fraudulently.  The Fraud Dept of AT&T recommended returning at an AT&T store.  I was second on line at about 11am.  The greeters at the door had me sign in, and asked me to wait.  There were 3 people behind the counter.  I will not say they were working, because I don't consider playing on your cell phone and joking with your "coworkers" while people are standing on line being ignored, working.  I stood there for over 10 minutes.  Not one of them looked up to acknowledge us.  I asked the greeter what was going on.  She said, please wait one moment.  Another 5 minutes past.  The woman on line in front of me said she had already been there 10 minutes before I arrived, and they hadn't taken even so much as looked at her.  At that point I walked out, since I was already there close to 15 minutes and no closer to receiving any help.

AT&T has a horrible reputation as far as calls dropping, etc.  Now they can add poor customer service to the list.

I wouldn't recommend doing any business with this company until they take a good look at their business practices.

I come the other day to return phone and lady in front signed me in to hold for someone available. Two Hispanic men representative were fighting at register but come running to front to help me when I finish signing in. They started fighting to help me I was flattered because it seemed like they really wanted to assist me today. Wrong. When representative Esteben assist me he asked me what he can do for me today. I tooked my box of iphone I want to return out of my briefcase. I told him phone was too complicated for me I want different one not iPhone. His smile turned upside down and he did not want to help me any longer. He told me I go to queens boulevard store for they can assist me with phone issue. I told him I don't have an issue I want to return and get new smart phone because I have 30 day satisfaction and I buy phone 3 days ago. He said he couldn't help me with that but If I want new phone he would sign me up for new service. I dont want new phone I just want to return phone. The man is con artist. As I leave store he walks after me and tells me to suck it easy. I was too angry to give him a piece of my mind. I call customer relations to complain about awful service I get at this store and they are going to contact me in few days. This place never good service I go to different AT&T store in the city

I felt the need to write, because the salespeople here really were quite helpful.  Maybe there's been some change of the guard, because I brought in my busted blackberry the other day, and everyone was super helpful.

Now if only AT & T would upgrade their goddamn service, I would like this big corp. more...

Every time I visit this AT&T location all the staff are unavailable or insufficent as I was never well received with a warm welcome or the typical "are you finding what you need for your purchases?" ABC selling techique strategy.  I encountered a problem with my BB of five months as the header to my mobile web pages completely disappeared, which I rely on yet an inconvenience.  Not one staff were able to resolve my issue or understood my problem despite of hollering many associates' attention umpteen times.

Customer service is not knowledgable and very abrasively rude in typical New York fashion.  All employees are either surfing the web on Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, Meetup or Google for personal usage rather than job related usage plus the added constant mingling among employees of non-job related socializing.  They treated the AT&T store like a nightclub minus the alcohol and loud club music.

This AT&T location sits on 71st Avenue with the "Boulevard of Death" and Austin Street (shopping and restaurant street) as cross streets in Forest Hills, NY.

I went in to get a phone. I brought money.

The door was blocked by a man in a polo shirt talking to a friend on his bluetooth headset, apparently a bouncer. I climbed over him, and was met by a waiting list on a podium, with names back two hours and nothing crossed off. I wrote my name.

A cluster of people loitered around one counter. Two, maybe three salespeople (it was hard to tell who worked there) milled behind the counter, talking amongst themselves.

I saw another counter with fewer people by it. I waited there instead, and when it was my turn the salesperson said, with no intro, "The line's at the front." Oh.

I went back to the first counter, and waited, ignored and forgotten, like a person who didn't want to buy anything, and had no money. Behind me, somebody asked polo-shirt door-blocker a question. He turned out to be a salesperson. Oh.

I waited 5 minutes, standing in one place up at the counter. Eye contact was not made. Neither was a sale. I left, taking my money with me.

The whole time, the best interaction I had was with the fake waiting list.

I hope AT&T falls in a well, with no Lassie nearby.

This AT&T store and like a few others of the ones I visit was pleasant in customer service.  The guy was friendly and helped me in returning a phone.  The one thing I will say about AT&T is that their "authorized list" protocol needs to be properly tweeked.  I called the customer service center and the primary account holder added me yet when I made not one, not two, but 3 different trips to different AT&T stores they gave me the same load of bull about I'm not on the list.  That is something that needs to be addressed.  In addition, I'm sure I'm not the only one fuming about the extra late release of Samsung Galaxy S2 for AT&T...it is embarrassing that AT&T have to compete with IPHONE 5 when they had all the time in the world to dominant the phone wars had they not delay the release for 5 months and counting (Octorber 2nd is the phone release date fyi...via AT&T twitter)...I'm sure Sprint is giddy over AT&T's hiccup as will Verizon....
