I am a foreign traveler on a short trip here. Needed to buy a SIM card to work on my phone with some pay-as-you-go minutes and international calling. AT&T website showed 10cents pay as you go plan and $10 international pack can be bought only from an AT&T store. Since I was staying close, I came here. The reps refused to give the 10c pay-as-you-go and told me to a third party reseller such as a Target (which was opposite to what was mentioned on the website and told them so, but they still refused). I went to a Target store which is across the street but they do not sell SIMs as they sell either refills or the Go-phones (phones with SIM). I then went back to the AT&T store and spent about 15 min convincing them to call up their own customer care and confirm the availability of this plan, but they did not deem it important enough to do so.

Then I just bought a $25 per month pay-as-you-go plan with free SIM, went back to the hotel and called AT&T customer care. They too were very surprised to know that the store refused a plan which is clearly on the AT&T website. The customer care then shifted me to that plan - $15 for local @ 10c per min and 250 min of international for $10.

I will start off by saying I have used AT&T for a little over a year now - and I have not had any problems until I walked into this store.  I deal with them a LOT, I have approximately 40 employees on a company plan, so I deal with the customer service reps a lot and occasionally go into a store.

I have been to the Woodbury store a handful of times, never a problem.

I came to this store, with an employees phone that no longer works here that had the phone password locked.  One guy greeted me at the door and I told him I needed to know how to unlock the phone.  Was about to ask him if he wanted the number, my account number, anything and he grabbed the phone and took it to the counter - where himself and three other guys were all talking over each other... and their solution?  "Go home and youtube how to jailbreak the phone and get rid of the password."  I mean, seriously?

I ended up youtubing how to break into the phone, and it didnt work.  The only thing that worked was turning the phone off, connecting it to a computer, turning the phone off and holding down both the top and middle buttons on the phone until it loaded and then I was able to restore the phone to factory settings.

I seriously didnt appreciate the lack of help and their suggestion for fixing my problem, that didnt even work.  Ive never experienced such horrible customer service.

With all of these negative reviews, you would think someone would care and actually do something about this store.

I have been in this store a few times mostly about my cell phone and they have been very helpful. This time I had switched to their internet service and I had some complications with my bill. Not only did they solve my billing issue with a smile they even refunded more than I had expected on my order. This store is great and the staff are very helpful.

Nicholas the assistance manager is an idiot and Pricilla the sales associate knows nothing about customer service. She tried to blame her mistake on us!  I know we all make mistakes, but own them, don't pass them along to your customer. No one in that store knows how to put on screen  protectors and if that is they case why do they even bother to sell them. This location lost my business today.  AT&T at Woodbury is the only AT&T store that I will use.

This store helped me get exactly what I needed - a new phone that wasn't going to cost me much because of flashy features or an expensive data plan. My old phone died on me last summer and I needed a new one immediately, but I didn't have the money for an iphone or anything so I went to AT&T and just told them I wanted something simple that I could upgrade to with my existing plan.

When I went to the AT&T store on Harvard and Main, all the guy did was try to sell me the expensive phones there no matter how many times I told him I was on a budget. I left that store and came to this one instead, and they were 100 times more helpful at this one. I was able to get a new phone that works well with a mail-in rebate that I only had to pay about $30 for in the end. The woman who helped me was very patient with me the whole time since I was a bit indecisive, and I walked out of here a happy camper.

If you're looking into getting a new AT&T phone, I would recommend this store over the other Irvine location on Harvard. Although if you go to UC Irvine or live in on-campus housing, I would not recommend AT&T at all because their service sucks on campus!

Unbelievably horrible service. Save yourself the time it is going to take to undo the damage the service reps at this location will do. They will literally change your plan without asking for your authorization thereby renewing your service contract and forcing you to pay the early termination fee when you finally decide you can't take any more of AT&T's crappy service. I understand that they recently fired a few of their sales associates. I hope for future customers' sake that they replace the fired salespeople with more decent salespeople. Me personally - just switched to Verizon and off to a great start!

If your thinking of going to an ATT store to ask for customer service - don't. Just take a blunt object and slam it directly into your head. It will help a similar amount and takes a lot less time. And then at least your only hurting yourself and you can stop when you want.

ATT customer service is awful. It's awful on the phone. It's awful in person. And if you can be on hold with one while the other is unleashing its horde of stupidity and uselessness upon you it's really like Hell on earth.

No really - just throw your cingular phone in the garbage. ATT has purchased cingular and made it into the some disgusting corporate garbage that ATT has already been for years.

Having ATT is like living with the IRS while having a construction worker use a jackhammer on the side of your head - non stop and day after day. They are worse than useless.

Plenty of parking though - that's why they get the one star. No actually if there were negative stars I would give them.

Lea assisted me on my new iPhone.  There was quite a wait but I needed a new phone.  Lea was kind and patient. She tried to transfer my contacts from old phone to iPhone but didn't have access to g1 phone.  She went above & beyond to resolve it by calling her hubby and asked him how to add contact list to his sim.  No luck told her I would manually do it.  I left happy and felt welcomed

So, this store deserves a one star for the simple reason that it doesn't honor their store hours and closes up shop, even though the store employees can be seen chatting with each other and ignoring my confused look through the glass. What happened to customer service? If you check online that a store closes at 9 PM and you arrive at 8:20 PM, it's not implausible to think that your drive wasn't in vain, right? I get that this may seem like an overreaction, but anyone who has waited all day to get an errand done, only for it to be delayed yet another day should understand my frustration.

Good location, but it is wasted on the staff.  Been there twice, and both times got terrible service from the people working there.

Customer service was non-existent, even though the store was empty. Cashier was clueless and did not ask for help until I asked him if he could. Not a good location to get a phone at all!

The service at this location is particularly bad, being a new store at a new location; they should've done better.  No staff offers help; instead they were chi-chatting and joking around amount themselves.  When we finally got some one to help us, the staff was very unwilling to the point where we thought we were a bother.  I called the store few days later and was hung up by the manager.  We filed a complain to the AT&T corporate, and was treated very nicely ever since...but other customers around us still gotten lousy services...

Sooo I lost my iPhone last Wednesday night [actually, I think it was stolen buuut yeah]. I'd had it for almost a year and a half and I was severely sad. Luckily it was on my insurance [state farm!] and they were going to cover a new phone. i went into this location and David helped me out. This guy was AWESOME. He was helpful and informative and extremely nice. Completely the transaction quickly and I was on my way with my iPhone 4 ordered. He gave me his card and told me to give him a call if I needed help with anything!

This was the 3rd AT&T store I had visited the day I went; and the 2nd store had called ahead at my request to ensure that the phone I needed was indeed in stock.  They told this store that I was on my way over.  I was to ask for David.  Well, upon arriving, I thought maybe, just MAYBE, my horrific AT&T customer service experience might get better because they had the phone I needed and I had a name.
    Oh, no.
No, I was expecting too much.
I found David immediately who was at the counter.  He barely looked up, except to tell me (after I explained I was the person the 2nd store had sent over 15 minutes ago) that while, yes, they did have the iPhone that I needed (that I was forced to pay full price for, but nevertheless, was paying with real cash, that's green and from the U.S.), he informed me that they will only sell them to customers who are signing two year contracts, with the exception of when they have plenty in stock.
    Well, guess what.
David said they only had 2 in stock and therefore, he wasn't going to sell it to me.  But, he said, you know they sell them at Apple.  Good job directly business away from your location, buddy.
    Seriously.
As if that "policy" isn't bad enough, he TOLD ME about it (way to get make your customers happy), and he failed to mention this to the staff at the 2nd store that sent me.
I was so enraged, I didn't have any words to choke out.  I just wished him horrible karma and left 30 seconds after walking in.
After trying to spend $700 at 3 different AT&T stores in one afternoon, I drove straight to Apple.  Not purely because of David's recommendation, but because I couldn't take another sales person who could care less.

I went here a few weeks ago and was NOT impressed. I went in with the intention of utilizing my upgrade and getting a new smart phone. I know that through the ATT website I have a bunch of phone options for cheap (from free to $50), and wanted to check a few out in person. When I walked into this location, a salesman asked me how he could help. Good start to the shopping experience. I told him that I was considering the new iPhone, but wanted to see what other smart phones were out there and what discounts I might have. He basically told me that I had no upgrade discounts (despite the fact that the website says I have numerous options) and that I should just wait for the iPhone. Okay dude, that is nice, but I wanted to check out the other phones too and might get you a nice sales commission today....but no. He was rude and did not answer my questions. I took a few minutes to look around but decided that I did not want to deal with his lack of assistance so I left. I will not be going back to this location ever again. Fail.
