I had to come here to purchase something for work... something I didnt know much about, which I could tell really irritated the customer service rep who helped me.
He was really not friendly, not chatty, I had no idea what was going on...
I will say because I have a business account, he gave me the rebate instantly instead of me having to mail it it, but that was about the only pleasant experience I had during my visit.
The store was pretty empty as well, at noon so perhaps its due to their customer service attitudes. -

Sonny is the man. We walked in looking to upgrade both our phones, and he delivered, and delivered well. Highly knowledgable, patient, great balance between technicality and business savvy. Most salespeople we encountered in the past in other stores have been on the highly business savvy side, with basic technical skills they probably read in the manual. But Sonny, not only does he know the ins and outs of the phone and softwares related to it, he also spent time with us, showing us how to use our new phones, downloading essentials for us, and showing us some neat tricks.
He also knows everything about all the plans AT&T has to offer, including all caveats and fine print. He is a champion for AT&T, and for that, our impression for the store is sealed.

I have been going to this store since I moved to Irvine and they have always taken good care of me... When I had pre-ordered the iPhone 4 for my wife they had it ready no problems, no waiting! Parking can get a little packed due to the bank and vet right next door...

Have you ever been impressed with the customer service at an AT&T store? This is a corporate owned store, so perhaps that is why the level of customer service and attention to the needs of the consumer is such a priority.
Given that the economy is in the toilet, it makes sense that I was greeted upon entry and offered assistance immediately, by one of their very sharply dressed customer service representatives. I can tell AT&T has stepped up their game, and I admit I'm surprised. I mean, they are the one and only place for the IPhone service contract. I can't go a day without seeing someone diddling away on their IPhone, so really, do they have to go out of their way to provide that extra special touch for my AT&T store experience? I guess so.
Our sharply dressed, and highly knowledgeable customer service rep was Keith. If you go to this location, see him. He will get you set up in no time. He made the experience quick and painless, and had us out the door in 20 minutes, leaving me to wonder, why haven't I stopped in here before? -

Have you ever walked out of a cell phone store feeling ripped off? Well, I have.
I went to this particular AT&T store to buy a screen protector for a Blackberry Bold. All they had was a "privacy screen," which protects the screen and blocks out anyone from viewing the phone when looked at from an angle. Fine. It's priced at $14.99, which felt a little steep for a piece of plastic you glue onto a cell phone screen but I went with it anyways.
Went home, put it on. It's not great. The visibility of the screen has now gone down. But this isn't what irks me. I look on the back of the package - which is something I guess the manufacturer made into an AT&T branded package - and there's a sticker with the price, $14.99. But under it is the price that was printed onto the package itself and it says $9.99. WTF. So basicaly they hiked up the price by 50% over the original printed price. Why the deception AT&T? But it doesn't end at this store. It seems like a practice that's pervasive in their entire store network.
At the Cerritos store, they had this plastic holster (http://www.wireless.at...) with yet another price sticker over the original marked at $29.99. The AT&T website says the holster is $19.99. Yet another 50% markup! There's something shady going on at this particular location, because I found the same holster at another AT&T store for $19.99. What's with the price variance from store to store? And you can get in online for $14.99 (http://shop.crackberry...). Oh yeah, AT&T is making a killing with this product alright.
And another item they take you for is the charging pod for the Bold (http://www.wireless.at...). Listed at $29.99 on their website, I found the same item at Fry's for $19.99. Again, a 50% markup over competitive retailers. Beginning to see a pattern here?
I never bought accessories for any phones at these corporate stores because they seemed overpriced. Sure, their tactic is to appear as if they're "hooking you up" with discounted accessories, but what they are really doing is selling you stuff at regular price (with plenty of margin built in) under the guise of giving you a "discount." It's a practice that consumers should recognize and not support because they getting away with daylight robbery. -

I'm not a violent person, but my experience replacing my iPhone nearly sent me over the edge and over the counter to wring the manager's neck. Seems the majority of the staff there, lead by a manager who models horrible customer service, doesn't care at all. Like, not even a little bit. The store policies are all for the benefit of AT&T and certainly not the customer.
Please just stay far away. -

Jeez. I'm not an AT&T customer, and I don't think I ever will.
Walked into the store (empty BTW) and was greeted by "Lori". I'll give Lori the benefit of the doubt, she didn't do a half bad job. I was looking at getting a Wifi Hotspot for my iPad and was comparing between VZW and AT&T.
I started asking Lori some easy questions about the "Mifi" unit and she didn't know the answers. Ok, no problem. She went to talk to someone in the back, comes back and we chat some more.
Then the oaf of a manager comes out from the back. I ask my rep if there are any rebates going on for the Mifi unit and first the oaf said "No" then magically a $100 rebate came into play. Or an instant rebate if I hold a Tax ID number. Um, ok?
The final straw was the manager trying to upsell me on some stupid iHome unit (spend at least $100 in the store and get any accessory for free! YIPPEE!) that bunches of so-called customers have bought. Sure ok haha :). Yep, she was up selling me on some piece of crap when I went into the store to potentially purchase one of their MiFi units! Crazy.
I walked out, drove over to the Verizon Wireless Store at the Marketplace and got exactly what I wanted. FREE, just had to pay tax.
FYI: ATT: $35/month for 250MB of data usage, $65 for UP TO 5GB of data usage. VZW: $35/month for 3GB of data usage, $65 for 10GB of data...you pick the better choice.
Never again, AT&T. -

So my review is based on this store not the whole entire AT&T network. This store ROCKS.... the staff is awesome. They put on my screen protector for me since I tend to ruin them. They ordered my accessories for me when they were out of stock. I know some people say the accessories are expensive. Well I agree but they are way better quality than ebay and they give you a one year warranty. Remember u get what you pay for. I also get a huge discount through my work so for me it benefits me to purchase them here. They saved me tons of minutes on my cell phone bill and told me of free services that had been added to AT&T that I was not taking advantage of. After reading other reviews Yes AT&T has dropped calls (who doesn't ? ) and they don't have good reception in the mountains but for me the plan is the cheapest I have found and with 3 iphones and 2 texting plus phones with unlimited internet for $10/mo. on our account I can't complain. (mind you I do get a huge discount through my work - better than at&t employees do) but still with unlimited messaging and unlimited calls to any cell phone with any carrier for $30.00 a month for all 5 lines, that's a good deal. As for the IPAD well I purchased that through Verizon for 2 reasons. The price on the service was a better deal and I figure I can use it as a phone in areas where at&t doesn't have a good signlal. All in all I can't really complain.

AT&T SUCKS! If not because I want an I-phone, I would never sign the contract with AT&T, bad signal and DROP the call all the time.
