Review from Sammy C.
So my device died on me again about two hours after they "fixed" it; so I ran back to AT&T store again on the same day (4/23/12).
The store closes at 8:00pm and I got there at 7:45pm; there were many people in line for service. I put my name down on the list and requested for Michael Sanchez since he was the one who helped me in the morning.
Now, many of the negative reviews were complaining about their customer service because they don't serve their customer nicely when there's no commission. I am 100% sure that fixing or replacing a wireless device won't receive any commission.
Michael remembered me and came see me a few minutes before 8:00pm; now although they were closing, but Michael was still extremely patient and helpful to provide me with what I needed. He tried to fix the device again but with no lucks, he then exchanged a new one for me and activated it within 15min.
Impressive and professional services and I am only giving this 5-star to Michael (since I haven't served by anyone else).1 Previous Review: Show all »

I can't give it less than one star? Damn.
In all my 200+ reviews, I've only given 9 one star reviews. So this is saying something.
I was helped by Dominique who was in training. Service was insanely slow. But she's in training so. Whatever.
They were out of the iPhone so they said they'd ship it to my apartment, which I was fine with. When I got the receipt, they put in my address but without the apartment number. I asked Dominique to add in my apartment number, but she told me that they "didn't need to put down an apartment number because UPS would just ship it to my apartment's office." Sketchy.
I was tracking its shipping online and on the day that it was supposed to ship, I found out that UPS wouldn't ship it because there was no apartment number.
So I get the pleasure of having to call AT&T and being put on hold, because my phone wouldn't ship without the apartment number. After them taking over an hour to call me back just to tell me they'll try to "fix it ASAP", the next day, they called me telling me that they couldn't fix it and that the phone would be returning to the original warehouse and that I would get refunded for it. Also, the only way I could get the phone was if I went into the store and bought it myself. Again.
AT&T problems that I wouldn't have to deal with if Dominique put my apartment number there in first place like I had asked. Ugh. Learn to put the address I wrote down for you, yeah?
Gist of it: Made the trip to Fremont although I go to school in Davis to get new phones with the rest of the fam, waited forever, paid for a phone, never got it. Sigh.
*Disclaimer: Edgar was helpful. Sorry for yelling at you on the phone if you're reading this. Should've taken it out on Dominique. But all of you AT&T slowpokes are from hell; I know it. -

I come here cuz my friend tony works here. He is always very helpful and provides quick service. Perfect for me since I always come right before I go to work.
The store however is a different issue. It's always busy when I come in. I don't know what the hold up is, but I came here a few times without tony being here, and it's chaotic! They have the staffing. But I guess the staff has no clue what they r doing. Either that or they don't know how to work under pressure of being busy. Either way. I wouldn't be coming here If tony wasn't working -

I think this store is a hit or miss depending on what you are looking for and what questions you have. When I came here to get a new phone, the process was fast and smooth.
The last time I was here though, I was here with my friend who needed to buy a new phone because she lost hers. We were so surprised at the little selection they had. All they had were smartphones across the wall, and three or four messaging phones, of which they only had one or two in stock. She wanted a messaging phone, and no one here really seemed to be helpful. One salesman told us she could buy the phone online but she needed it ASAP so the store was of no help.
NOTE: Watch out when driving in the parking lot, it's designed to cause an accident, not that that's AT&T's fault.
We ended up going to Newpark Mall instead and she was able to get a phone from one of the authorized dealers that night.
Why is this the only AT&T store in Fremont anyway? Don't a lot of people use AT&T?! That's my real complaint. They should have more locations!! -

I came here recently because I needed to pick up a new sim card. Mine was acting crazy, so Customer care sent me here.
I was immediately serviced and got exactly what I came for and more. Great service!
This store is always busy... So they must be doing something right! -

I needed a screen protector for my iPhone and was going to Best Buy when I decided to take my chances with the AT&T store since it's much closer even though my previous experiences here have sucked.
This time I hit the jackpot when I received some of the best customer service I've ever received from a young lady named Crystal. I can say hands down she's changed my mind about AT&T stores and this location in particular.
Not only did she find the product for me which was not on display but she offered to install it for me. I've done it before but it's a bit of a PIA and she mastered it, no finger prints, no bubbles and smooth as glass. In addition she found an employer discount for me and cut the price down. I was so impressed I also purchased a pricey new Bluetooth headset when I was there.1 Previous Review: Show all »

I have been to this location at least twice and will not be going back (even though this is the closest location for me).
The first time, there were a lot of people and a very long wait. We were put on a list, and once it was our turn, the sales associate was incredibly rude. When I asked questions, he didn't actually listen to what I was asking and would just keep talking about whatever he wanted. He never answered some of my questions. They also would not honor the advertised deal for the phone I wanted. I ended up going down the street to Parrot Mobile where they actually helped me.
The last time I went, there were only 2-3 other customers inside, but none of the employees even greeted us. One of the sales associates was checking her email for a full 5 minutes while we stood there waiting to be helped. We ended up leaving without even being spoken to after being in the store for at least 15 minutes. -
Review from Tisha K.
Came here around 12pm-ish. Apprently, so did all the rest of the world during their lunch hour. "Great" I thought. "All I wanted to know is how much a new phone would be since mine is busted."
Interestingly enough, there was a staff meeting of 7 or more people going on in the backroom while 3 staff members attended to almost 15 people who were waiting to be seen. If I was the store manager, I would have said "attend to the customer's business first, then to OUR business." You know, considering that incoming business from people like myself ultimately pays for their bills? They should have postponded their meeting until a more convenient time for business. Lunchtime is always a busy time for stores, especially ones located in this complex.
I didn't end up getting much done at all, and wasted over an hour for a question that should have taken 10 minutes. There was, however, ONE young man who was very friendly and helpful. The rest were absolutely and abhorrently clueless as to what they were doing. Very discerning as I am an AT&T customer. Perhaps from next time, I'll stick to Costco's AT&T kiosk. -

Not sure why this store has such a low score--I was treated fairly and really felt I got a great deal. My service person gave me a super deal on my U-Verse and Internet and I got about $ 400 in gift cards for joining. I am really liking my U-Verse service from A T & T

Maybe I'm just a magnet for bad luck, but in this case bad timing. Here's an AT&T multiple choice test that should have been easy for me to conclude mentally, but I've never been good at multiple choice so..
When should you go to AT&T?
a) during your lunch break when everyone and their Uncle are there
b) on weekends because the world is off on weekends.
c) during the peak hours because waiting in line is SO fun!!!
Yeah..I thought I was safe coming early in the morning. Wrong. It's summertime, which means all kids are off and at AT&T. *sigh*
DUDE, I'm taking a trip to AT&T, NOT a trip to Timbuktu. I swear, I'm THERE forever just waiting to be helped! if someone hands me my grandchild while WAITING to purchase an Iphone4, I would not be shocked, instead I'd grab one of their many phones on the wall that I've stared at for the past 2 hours and take pictures.
Seriously, the wait is so long. I waited 2 WHOLE hours staring at the people ahead of me who were also willing to wait to purchase an Iphone4. 2 hours being typed does not seem like 2 hours when you are STANDING and looking at people do strange things while waiting to be called. Person 1 for example was picking their nose. GROSS! Person 2, picking their...butt...yeah, even more GROSS...Person 3 was about to have their eyes picked OUT from staring at me like a piece of MEAT. People truly have no manners.
Anyway, back to cingular. So before the cops could show up looking for a missing person named Meesha, they FINALLY called my name! YAYYYYY!!!! I did a little happy dance to the register and asked to pre-order my iphone4. Sad music should have started playing if my life were a movie because the man basically told me I cannot pay with a debit card and I have no credit card on me. Boo :( Major FROWNIES :C
So to make the most of my time, I had the guy fix my iphone because it needed a new SIM card and it kept shutting off on me. Luckily, he did and I was very very thankful for that. The customer service there has definitely improved. The guys and gals of AT&T definitely know how to paint a smile on ya like you're at DisneyLand, the wait still sucks and someone should make a more strategic plan to get all the customers serviced as fast as possible. It just really really sucks to have to wait in line forever.. but I'll give them 3 stars for the stellar service. -1 for the long wait, -1 for the no debit card. -

This AT&T location used to be a Cingular Wireless store but the company has changed hands. I've been a customer here a long time and have purchased all my cell phones through them. In the previous years I've had little to say about them, but this time when I stopped by the store I was pleasantly surprised by the help I got from the guy at the door who was taking names for people who needed customer help. Since all the iphones had been stolen from the store, I was able to play with one while the guys stood by giving me tips on some of its features. I appreciated his helpfulness in answering all my dumb questions. The customer service manager who helped me was also helpful but part way through my working with him, for some reason unbeknownst to me, he passed me off to another person to complete my transaction. Weird!
Anyhow, it's nice to have this store in my neighborhood as its very convenenient. Will probably come here again. Word to the wise, I recommend you do your research and homework on the cell phone you prefer so when you do go in to the store, you can just pretty much pick up and go.
Happy cell-ing. -

Let me start by saying that I've been to this store about 4 times, and I can see why it is easy to find this place annoying. I get it. You put your name on the list, there are 500 other people there, and it takes forever for your name to be called. BUT here's why I'm giving 4 stars :
I arrive Sunday morning, and there is already a line outside, 15 minutes before the store even opened. When they open, all of the customers begin putting their names on the list. My BF who has never seen this before, looks at me and says "what's going on??" I, noticing that several sales people are standing around me, non-discreetly comment that this practice of signing in is absurd, especially since we've already formed a civil line outside. Tony, Mak an extremely friendly, helpful associate, comes to us immediately after my comment and says "You don't have to sign in, I can help you right now".
Not only did he manage to help us, but he went above and beyond. One of the offices we needed to help us was closed on Sundays. He said he would call Monday (today) to take care of it, and promised to give us a call to confirm that the changes had been made. He did just that. Not only did he do that, but he also had given us his business card that had his direct contact information in case anything went wrong or if we needed future help.
Now that is customer service at its best... If only more customer service reps could learn a thing or two from Mr. Tony Mak!!! -

Bob Henderson helped me with my wireless plan since I wanted to add a new line to my cell phone plan. I had already wanted to create a land line as well but Bob made sure to ask if I needed any home services that he could help me out with. I felt well taken care of during my time there. The overall look of the store looked clean and tidy, the staff seemed courteous and professional. The greeter greeted me within seconds after walking in the door and asked what I came in for. Bob didn't try to oversell me and made me feel welcomed in the store. He seemed knowledgeable in the wireless devices that I asked him about and he seemed like he really had an opinion about every phone. I guess the company probably makes him try every phone they have there on display but it is amazing that he can retain all that information regarding the features of each phone.

I recently acquired a Motorola Backflip from my parents. From my understanding was they bought it used or refurbished, not sure which one. Anyways I finally decided to switch from my iPhone to the Backflip. It was working fine until it frozen and upon reboot, it stopped working. I went to AT&T to see if they could help solve the problem but they went above and beyond my expectations. I was greeted immediately and helped by David Garcia. He made sure I was going to leave satisfied. I was unsure of when the phone was originally purchased and he was helpful into finding a way to replace it for me through warranty exchange. 30 minutes went by, a phone call to customer service, he found out when the phone was purchased and it was still covered until the warranty. My replacement phone should be coming within a few days and I am definitely bringing it back to get activated and this store definitely will always have my business!

I will go without before ever going to this store again. They ripped me off royally. They have sales people who are not trained - who tell you one thing - and mean another - and then charge you. We are not talking 2 digits - we are talking 3 digits plus! When you try to straighten it out you get a manager who has his head up his rear and who makes more promises unintended to keep. Actually NO stars would be best!

The reason why I went to this location because my bf knows one of the sale reps. here. The person that he knows was his high school classmate. Otherwise, I would have gone to the one in San Leandro location, closer to where I live now. Anywho, back to my experience here.
First of all, it was during the evening time, which I thought was a perfect time because there was hardly any customers and to find a parking spot which was easy. In the Fremont Hub it's a pain in the ass to find a parking spot. I went to several locations in Wal-Mart to see if they have the BlackJack II in stock and they all didn't, so I ended up coming to this AT&T location. Getting back to my review, the sales rep. that we dealt with was nice and glad because he would get commission out of it. It took about 45mins - 1 hour to get it all done. Also, he put all my information into a new 3G sim card with a little gadget!! That was soooooo awesome!!!
I went home and tried to mess around the phone and you know what the phone is a pain in the ass because it took forever to load up another application while the other one is already there. So, the very next day, my bf and I returned the phone, I knew the sale rep. wasn't too happy about that. Oh wells!! =p The sales rep. totally messed up my account which I had to argue and argue on the phone with AT&T office about that I returned it and there shouldn't be no changes on the acount whatsoever.
Well, the sales rep wanted to keep his commission, so he wrote on the file that I still had it, bullshit!! =( So, hefinally after we kept on bugging him about it, and he finally put RETURNED on my file. It was my first and last going there!!! -

Wish there was a way to give less stars. I've had nothing but problems with AT&T and in particular this store. As far as I can tell everyone that works there, has no idea how to do their job. I had gone in on many occasions before purchasing my iPhone. And the only price I ever saw listed was $99 or $199. And I just didn't think that could be true. So I went in on about six seperate occasions to ask one simple question; as a AT&T customer for the past 8 years I just wanted to know what I would have to pay to upgrade to in iPhone? And each time I asked I was told the same thing. That the listed price would be the price I would have to pay. This is what I was told on everyday I went in until I had already sold my current phone ( leaving me with no phone). Where I was told the the phone was either $299 and $399 I believe ( and this was for the 3G). When I asked where they had this price listed the sales associate said that it was on some piece of paper that was at the front of the store. So I asked if he could show me where these papers were since I had heard nothing about this until now. And when he went to the front only to find that the papers weren't there. Apparently they had been keeping them under the register.... Obviously easy for customers to find that price listed there right? As far as I'm conserned, this is some sort of false advertisement since the employees apparently didn't know about this paper since they had consistantly been giving me false information all on my previous visits. I really wish there was some way to get this and many of my other problems resolved but, as an upset customer I have just been treated worse and worse each time I go because I've lost my patience. On my last visit I heard a particular after battling with the people in the store for about 45 minutes of wrong information I had an employee look and me and say to his co-worker that he didn't give a shit (his exact words) what she didn't the to the account. As a long time customer I have had enough I usually now am force to drive to an AT&T store over 30 mintues out of my way so that I can get some decent customer service. Hope you take the time to read this and hope it helps.

I went in to transfer my 2 t-mobile lines, 1 verizon lines into an existing AT&T accounts. I assume there's no commission for transferring phone lines so the sales person kept telling me it's going to take him VERY long time to do it and asked me to call customer service.
