I love this office. It was my first time coming here, and i fell in love with this office!
Everyone who works here was extremely accommodating.
I saw Dr. Caryn Bernier, for a routine check up and pap. She was young and hip, and made me feel comfortable. The have covers on the stirups so its not cold and uncomfy. Dr.Bernier asked lotsa questions about my tattoos, and life in general, to take away the edge of being at the gynecologist. She did her job well, and talked about the appropriate things you discuss when at your womens doctor...
I recommend this office for every woman! They even have a free latte machine and wi fi in the waiting room!
Called to ask if the practice had midwives on staff, or referred people who asked to midwives. I got put on hold, transferred, and 5 minutes later, someone answered my call.
"No, we don't have midwives here. This is a medical practice."
"Do you have midwives you refer people to who ask?"
"No." (very curt!)
"So, do most people come in before they switch?"
"No. If that's what you wan't, don't bother coming here."
I don't care how fancy your office is or how nice the doctors are. If you have this much respect for women's choices in care, that ain't cool.

I went last year and saw Dr. Meltzer who was accommodating and efficient, but uhm, a little lacking in bedside manners. I was taken aback when the good doctor had me come in for a swab to see if the medication worked for a case of BV and then yelled, "You're cured" while I was still standing in the hallway, on my way into his office. He couldn't even wait till I stepped a foot in his office before shooing me out! Gee, that's another $40 for the co-pay, now p*ss off.
Sure, I was annoyed BUT he was thorough with all the testing and got me in the same day for an ultra. He was jolly enough but super quick. The job got done but I felt like I'd been processed - and his intake assistant was mono-syllabic and sour-faced, too.
But the office is swish with park views and lots of light. Fantastic free hot chocolate and lattes. Plus, it's within biking distance, so natch I want to go back.
This year, I asked for female doctor and booked with Dr. Bernier. Hey, if Dr. Meltzer had even just taken me aside or given me a silent thumbs up, I would've happily given another star.
Dr. Meltzer helped me with a very rare condition that most gynos have no experience handling, which is vestibulitis. He is one of three doctors in the country who knows how to treat this condition, and treat it he did. I am so grateful to him.
Perhaps I am just used to more personal experiences when I see my doctors, but I do feel that this location has so many patients that it is easy to get lost in the mix.
Being new to Chicago, I had no idea how to pick out a doctor, let alone a GYN! However, I really lucked out because this office is beautiful and clean and everyone that works there seemed really nice. The equipment seems very state-of-the-art. I picked out Caryn Bernier for my visit. She was wonderful and I will for sure keep seeing her. While the office is not exactly "close" to where I live, it is worth the trip. It is located right across the street from Millenium Park. I never wrote a review on here but I figured I would since it may save someone else a lot of time trying to narrow down the options!!!
I HATE Doctors. This is the first Doctor that I have seen that I absolutely feel like I can trust. That is caring and knows me, wants to help and is invested in my health. Dr. Kleinberg is amazing. I'd recommend him to anyone (And yea, he is the FIRST male doctor I've ever had but he is one of the nicest I've ever met). HIGHLY recommended
