Review from Hedda A.

I got a great deal from a website for a 60 min. massage with a hot stone treatment. It was great experience. My masseuse was really good. I don't usually have male masseuses but I did the appointment last minute. He was able to loosen up my knots in my back and gave me helpful tips on how to lessen tension in my back from returning. The only downside is that the spa does not have a sauna, showers or steam room and it is located in a mall which when it is busy is hard to find parking. Other than that, it was a wonderful relaxing experience I have had compared to the other high cost massage and spa places in LA.

I came here because I had some sort of discount to get a facial here. I wouldn't say it wasn't worth it, but I certainly got what I paid for here. I might come again if I had a gift certificate or something, but I wouldn't spend good money here again.
Granted, all I got while I was here was a facial (I can't speak to their MedSpa, Salon or other services), but when I arrived (10 minutes early), no one was at the front desk. I waited patiently in their lobby for another 5 minutes before anyone showed up to greet me. When I told them I had an appointment, they looked in the computer and went "oh, ok, are you in a rush? Can you wait for a little bit?" Luckily, I wasn't in a rush, but then they CALLED THE FACIALIST AT HOME AND ASKED HER TO COME IN FOR MY APPOINTMENT.
Basically, they did not have a person on staff to handle an appointment that had been in the books for over 2 weeks. Idiots! So by the time the facialist arrived, I had already waited over 30 minutes. Although they assured me I would get my full session, the facialist seemed rushed. Also annoying was the fact that the facialist didn't spend any time looking at my skin or asking what I wanted out of the facial and pushed all kinds of product on me. (No, I do not want $300 eye serum! No, I do not want an additional pumpkin scrub for an extra $35 dollars! Just give me a damn facial!) As far as the facial I got? Eh. Not bad, not great.
The facilities are nice and by the time I left, there were a lot more people (staff) on site, but I was so turned off by the service I had received, I just wanted to leave.
Also a big turnoff, they tried to pressure me into booking another appointment with them before I left. I know for someone who likes this place it might not be construed as pressure, but they didn't even ask me how I enjoyed my service and kept saying "if you book your appointment today, you get 20% (or something) off your next service."
Granted, when I went there, this spa had just opened a few weeks prior, but if I need a facial again, I won't want to get it at the mall.Listed in: Once was more than enough

Thoroughly unimpressed.
I went in for a facial... and to my surprise... there was no aesthetician on site!! No facialist at a spa?? The receptionist called the facialist on call and was told that she would come in within 30 minutes. I walked around the mall for 45 minutes (to give the facialist time to settle in before seeing me). I went back in and was greeted by a different receptionist who said to me that the facialist would be there in 10 minutes. I was a little aggravated (because I had an appointment somewhere else later in the afternoon) but patiently sat down to fill out paperwork. 15 minutes later, I went back up to the receptionist who rehearsed the same line: "she'll be here in 10 minutes." A few minutes after that, I got up and left. The receptionist was apologetic, and I know that it was not her fault, but I felt as though she was only saying this to placate me.
To make matters even more irritating for me, the hair styling on site kept trying to pressure my younger sister for a hair service. At first, I thought it would be nice for her to have something done while she waited for my facial, but when that stylist came back and asked her to decide soon because "today was [her] day off but would stay if my sister wanted to do the treatment," my sister felt uncomfortable.
Overall, not a good experience for a first-time client. Needless to say, I will not be going back there.
