All this park has to offer are a few benches and...........spectacular views. That's the reason for the 5 stars. There are no grassy areas, it's just dirt and views, haha. Who cares about a lawn when ya got views like that? See the photos.
There are two spectacular overlooks in Pacific Palisades, high above Will Rogers Beach. They are on opposite sides of Temescal Canyon Road.
Almost everyone knows about the park on the south side, but the one on the north side of Temescal is often overlooked (no pun intended, haha).
Both parks are accessed by driving up Temescal to Sunset, then turning either south or north, then driving back toward the ocean on residential streets until you reach the edge of the bluff.
Yesterday afternoon at Asilomar Park I could hear the sound of the surf far below, accompanied by the guitar-playing of a man sitting under a tree making beautiful music (see photo).
Beautiful is the word that describes this setting, any time of day, any time of year.
