I was pleasantly surprised by this establishment when I called for takeout over the weekend.  I was nursing a hangover, the cure for which is usually yellow curry, and being new to the area I grabbed a takeout menu at random from the pile by our door and ordered the first yellow curry I could find.  It was a glorious decision.  Best yellow curry I have had in the city so far, chicken wings were a little on the small side but still tasty, and they actually provided enough rice to go with everything!  This place makes me want to be hungover more often just so I can order in again.

Don't come here if you don't have cash!

You MUST spend $10 or else no debit cards!  This is ILLEGAL AND It says right on the counter sign they "accept" debit & credit cards... They can't force YOU to spend more than you want.

I came in to grab some food to go and my total was slightly less than $10 so I left... They told me to spend more??? How's that for upselling!!!

If you sit down and don't spend over $10, you can't use a debit card...

Any excuse they give like, "Well, we get charged by the...."

Don't buy that garbage since every cent is a tax deduction WHICH THEIR accountant WILL include on their schedule C UNLESS they are totally incompetent!!!

I may go back on a day when I have cash or am going to sit down with a friend and spend more with a drink and appetizer...

I hate it when businesses try to take advantage of a customer like that...

An excellent lunch deal, however the soup is very watery without much taste. The Pad Thai was so very very good, and the Pepper Steak was also very good. However upon leaving both my girlfriend and I immediately got a sharp abdominal pain. A strange feeling since I've eating Thai food somewhere in the thousands of times and this has never happened. Which is sad, as the Crab Ragoon was really good, the chicken pot stickers again very good. Soup was so so, but I don't care. And then, cramps. As we were eating they were bringing in an order of produce, so despite the great taste maybe we had old food.
Whatever it was, it's sad, as it was an excellent Pad Thai, I will just never go again as I don't like stomach cramps with my meals.
Try it, maybe it was a fluke for us and you won't have the same problem.
    Maybe.

    7/10/2011 10 Check-ins Here

Let me preface this review by noting that I've only ordered pick up and delivery from here- but they are byob.

Asian Mix Cafe is on my list of Lakeview spots because they are consistent, close to my friend's house (literally a minute walk away), they are friendly, and they always take exactly as long as they say they will when I call for a pick up order.  So, they are just awesome.

This is definitely my no-frills, Americanized Thai spot.  I really like the Tom Yum Noodle soup because they made it super spicy for me when I asked them to when I had a horrid cold.  The appetizer combo is something I get when I feel like eating some not-so-healthy food.  The smoothies are really yummy too!  The only thing that I will never try again is the sesame chicken. I got that once, and it was a nice reminder that they do Thai food here best.

Oh!  but also the eggplant basil thing is yummy.  I will be back soon for that. nom nom nom.

Also- they have a $10 credit card minimum.

Asian Mix took me on a roller coaster of emotions. At first I was going to love this place from the reviews I read on the Yelp.

Then when I walked in I swore I was going to hate it, very kitschy decor and I was the only one there.

But I saw their lunch specials for $6.50 which include soup or salad plus a mini appetizer portion and we are back at love.

Then they brought out my soup, appetizer and entree all together, back at dislike.

However, after taking a bite of their pad thai--slap me and call me Sally, we are back at love.

Then I saw there is a minimum $10 purchase when using a card. Thumbs down.

So I ordered their strawberry bubble tea smoothie to bring it up to over $10 and when I took a sip of it, slurped it down without a brain freeze, I made it to the final decision.

    Love.

Bummer that this place didn't have more inspiring food.  I got takeout from this place as it was the closest Thai place to me.  It was never bad, but never outstanding either.  Once I got the appetizer sampler and by the time they got to my place they were oily and cold.  I went in for lunch once and was pretty disappointed at their Lemon Chicken.  Tasted like they got chicken nuggets and poured a lemon sauce over it.  Service is friendly though and the ambiance is cute.

Pan-Asian cuisine isn't usually my thing -- please identify your country of origin and stick to it! Also, please see the classic Teen Girl Squad video (http://www.homestarrun...), wherein The Ugly One gets MSG'd by her three spring rolls. This stuff can be scary.

But I approve of Asian Mix. Between three of us, we had $40 worth of food (but no chopsticks, grrr) and were stuffed stupid by the time we'd plowed through it. My pad kee mao with chicken was a little sweeter than I'd prefer -- and only spicy enough when I bit into the peppers directly -- but that didn't seem to bother me: I paused ONLY to yell "OMG!" just before commercials during Gossip Girl.

However. A word to the wise: Chive dumplings are not the same as scallion pancakes.
Now, why anyone would think that is beyond me. And yet, there I was, just last night, thinking, "Oooh! Chive dumplings! Yes, a scallion pancake would be delicious tonight!"
But you should still add them to your obscenely large order. Because they're squishy, delicious Asian pillows covered in crushed peanuts. And they come with a sweet chili sauce I could have eaten with a spoon.

    This review? Worthless.

I just ate chicken satay for brekkie...

I LOVE leftovers. Ordering from Asian Mix will ensure that my leftover quota is met, so I am a fan.

Some delivery was in order last night for a few ladies on the Gossip Girl bandwagon. Asian Mix is close, so I dialed up...within 30 minutes they were knocking on my door. Still not sure how they made it through the gate, but hey...Thai food on my doorstep and I don't need to put shoes on, score!

We ordered a large variety of items: chive dumplings, aforementioned chicken satay, veggie spring rolls (HUGE, and very good/fresh), garden egg rolls (fried, obviously), Rama Chicken (needed more broccolli, but the sauce was heaven), and Pad Kee Mao.

We were STUFFED. It arrived hot and steamy, just like Gossip Girl.

Perfect place for eating healthy when lacking time to cook.

You see, it's a MIX...  hot soups range from Tom Kha to Chicken and Rice.  Appetizers from egg rolls to edamame.  Pad Thai to Chow Fun.  And so forth.  Great curries... and with brown rice!  It's hard to find a place that serves brown rice with Thai.

The orange chicken, three flavor red snapper, and beef chow fun are all fabulous, and the banana with coconut sticky rice is to die.  I'm pretty sure the Chicken and Rice soup can cure a cold, and the mixed vegetable dish with brown rice is great Monday night remedy, sure to undo at least some of the weekend damage.

Although it seems like a take-out place, I've actually hung out in here a few times and it almost has a coffee shop feel with its ordering window and random peeps on laptops.

Easy on the wallet, too, which is super clutch these days.  Not saying that my wallet is a clutch, which it is... but uh,  Asian Mix is cheap.  Is what I meant.

They use Greenware! I was impressed that my sauce on the side was in a container made of plants. Cool.

I'm a tad particular and everything was prepared exactly as I ordered it. It is apparent a lot of care goes into food preparation, even for delivery. The shumai had little spiral sliced carrots as a garnish. The tofu in my veggie/rice dish was evenly sliced and firm but not fried. They were a little heavy on the scallions in the shumai and Tom Yum soup, so if you aren't a fan, specify to go light. I also thought the chunks of tomatoes in the Tom Yum were a little much, but as I said, I'm a tad particular...possibly to a fault.

I've never set foot in the place so I can't tell you about that, only delivery. They could throw in a few more veggies for the cost, but everything is very fresh and well-prepared so I don't want to make a big deal. I'll be calling them again.

First off, a heartfelt I'm sorry to the poor girl who had to drive to my house during a Cubs playoff game.  If I had cash on me I would have handed it all to you besides the tip amount I already left you on my online order!

Next, love the online ordering!  Sometimes I hate ordering stuff I can't pronounce and this way I don't have to worry about pointing, numbers, or trying to explain which dish I want.  I was nervous about it going through this Foodler thing, but it came only 15 minutes after the expected time - you might see that as a bad thing but if you weren't in Wrigleyville last night I don't expect you to understand.

The food was fantastic!!  Their pot stickers were oh so yummy yummy!  I could have eaten so many more of them - luckily we just ordered the six.  I had the sweet and sour chicken, which was SO good!  Not fried chicken drenched in that jar of orange sauce.  Oh no...it was an unbreaded chicken with a light sauce.  The girl had the pepper steak and loved her as well.  How do I know we loved it?  By the fact that there are zero leftovers in the fridge this morning!  Which is kind of a bad thing on my end because I thought that would be my lunch this morning!  Ah well.  Did not like the hot and sour soup though.  It was a lot of noodles and such and barely any soup.  Was okay but not what I wanted.  One weird thing was that there were big hunks of tomato in everything.  I thought it odd - but pulled them out and went on my way to scarfing down it all!!

Fast delivery, online ordering and scrumptious food?  Oh we'll be back again and again!!!

I can't believe this place isn't crazy reviewed and yelped about. My cousin who use to live in Chicago came to visit and she had eaten here a few times and proclaimed it was, "the best thai food ever". She was on point. I had the red curry with tofu and let me yelp you, it was perfectly done. The coconut within the curry gave the sauce a thicker and hearty taste and the spice was not overpowering. The veggies were crisp and the portion was just the right size.

I had been looking for a fusion place and now I have found it. I certainly will eat here again.

OK.  I wouldn't say it's anything above average Asian-esque food, but it's OK.

I've had a curry here that was pretty decent.  Chicken basil curry.  The portion size (to go) was a standard plastic tub full, about $10.

Another visit I had some Americanized chinese food... Nothing too special.  Service was a little rough in communications.

    It's BYOB.
Overall pretty average if you look at it from an Americanized Asian food perspective, I guess.  If you go here expecting great Asian gourmet cuisine you'll probably leave disappointed.

Unfortunately after numerous visits I'm going to have to knock two stars off. Having brown rice as a free option is all well and good.. but not if when I order it, it's white.  This has happened 4x, even when I repeat "brown rice."

Almost everything I've had is either fairly good or really bad. And by this I mean that the same dish I had one time (when it was good) can be terrible the next time... and I've tried a LOT of things here, because, like someone else said, there really isn't any other good Asian food within reasonable walking distance. I also think many of the menu items (mainly appetizers, salads, and soups) are really overpriced while being quite unremarkable.

While the owner is very smiley and nice-seeming, one of the younger girls behind the counter (looks like she's still a teen) needs a refresher on how to speak to people. As far as I can tell she is the only person who is fluent in English, yet she's the person I would want to have helping me the least. First she threw a pen at me to sign.. literally it came close to hitting me in the face (she did say sorry, but still). Then she very loudly recited a phone order's credit card number and expiration date (about a foot away from me). Luckily for that person I'm not planning on committing credit card fraud anytime soon.

Asian Mix Cafe is very close to my apartment and the large menu and fast pick-up will keep me coming back every once in a while, however I am definitely less enthused than I previously was.

Ooooh AMC I lurve you so! Your pork fried rice and egg rolls make me swooooooon!

Pork fried rice is one of my all time favorite dishes, for some reason it satisfies on many a level. But since moving to Chicago almost 4 yrs ago I have not found a PFR that I have liked. Then, I moved to the hood, and I found all that is good and tasty at AMC. Prior to my AMC affair I could take or leave egg rolls... but here - different story all together. I want to take, take and take some more.

The only reason for 4 stars - its a tad bit pricey. My wallet only allows me to visit every once and a while - but thats probably a good thing, no one needs that much PFR.

**Edit on 5.9.08** - I have bumped AMC up to 5 stars. They have a new menu and the new stuff we have tried is fantastic. And now that the weather is warm we have been picking it up - the ppl in the restaurant could not be nicer (and its a genuine nice, glad to have your here kind of thing). They have also added several tiers of spiciness - if you like spicy get thy to AMC.

This place is an excellent delivery option and should have something for everyone...the menu went on for pages, and after careful deliberation, me and my fellow GG-loving gals were anxiously awaiting our feast.

I was in the Rama mood and they did that pretty fan-freakin'-tastically.  I'll agree with Colleen, though, MORE broccoli would've made it a smidge better...but the sauce was divine.

We had an assortment of apps (garden spring rolls, baby spring rolls, chive dumplings, chicken satay) and a few entrees including the aforementioned Rama Chicken, and Pad Kee Mao.

I'm with Paige, though, where were the frickin' chopsticks???  I know had I had them, I would not have had to rush to my dry cleaner the next day to get Thai food off my suit pants...or something like that;)  I like to practice at home, don't you?

I'd definitely dial up for this delish place again...delivery was fast, food was fresh, and we were all borderline comatose afterwards: all three things from which I require my Thai delivery.  YUM!

I read some good reviews and decided to give it a shot.  I order Crispy Spring Rolls, Thai Iced Tea, and Pork Fried Rice (since I read a review that it was good... and for whatever reason I craved it then, and I don't normally like Pork Fried Rice).

The Thai Iced Tea is the best Thai Iced Tea I've ever had.  It wasn't syruppy sweet lke most are... And the Spring Rolls were AMAZING.  The Pork Fried Rice is also good too, but I really couldn't get over how good the Spring Rolls were.  ... It also wasn't too expensive... Nor did I have to wait long for it at all.  Over all, I mean, I gave it 4 stars.  It's delicious.  :)

Really enjoy this place a lot- remember when they first opened and stumbled after a very long day of work.  Great food- very fresh and consistent.  Basil chicken is nicely done and the fried rices are great too.  They are BYOB which is nice and the staff to me has always been very attentive.  I have not been displeased. Since opening, they have added to their menu and have some new dishes that I can't wait to taste.  Will continue to go and apparently will have try the Pork Fried Rice, and I don't even like pork! Ha!
dining room is small and cozy...nice to hit if you're looking to catch up with a friend.

A great little family-run spot and my latest source for quick and fresh takeout.  I like the fact that the food is not dripping in oil and that you can get brown rice instead of white rice at no extra cost.

Just about every time I've gone to Asian Mix I've stopped there on my bus ride home, having not thought to call beforehand, but they always whip something up for me in 10 minutes or less, which I then devour a minute later, living a block away :^).

The first time I went there I had the Pad Woo Sen with Shrimp, one of my go-to Thai orders and was pleased. I talked to the woman that I think co-owns the place (who is very friendly) and asked what dish she recommends and she told me the Spicy Basil Leaf, so next time I got the Basil Leaf (medium) with Tofu and extra veggies and brown rice and was delighted.

I had a vegatable/tofu soup there once a while back (I think this was a "Chinese" menu item) and it was ok but as can happen with soups, the veggies got overly soggy. Honestly I think Asian Mix could stand to shorten the somewhat un-wieldy menu and do all Thai,  since that's their background and likely their forte.

The mustard packets on the table are disgusting. What comes out looks like baby waste and smells like butane.

The garden rolls (spring rolls) seemed to contain partially frozen iceberg lettuce. The Chinese entrees we had were vividly unremarkable.

Service was passable until the end, when we were stranded waiting for the ticket.

I guess you either do one type of food well, or a large selection of dishes poorly. At least America's Funniest Home Videos was on.

Some people should not be trusted with a deep fryer. They go fryer-crazy, submerging everything in sight into boiling oil and leaving it there until it grows a crispy skin of fat that was never meant to be. Spring rolls? Deep fried. Pot stickers? Crusty. When you ask for fried pot stickers anywhere else (and by everywhere else, I mean Cozy Noodles and Joy's), you get some sauteed deliciousness, not something so brown and hard it resembles a dog biscuit.

But let's stop judging food by the outside and take a look within. Crab Rangoon? So disproportionately heavy on the cream cheese that it tasted like a New York schmear. Pad Thai? The sauce is too heavy on the rice vinegar for my taste - you might disagree, but you know how you can taste a smell sometimes? I was tasting the smell of rice vinegar as an aftertaste.

Maybe I'm just cranky because when I called to order takeout, I felt like I had accidentally rung Bangkok and their English vocabulary was learned off the back of an imported box of Rice Crispies, (and THEY had the nerve to laugh at ME because I said I don't eat meat, but fish is OK - which is apparently a hilariously incongruous statement), but this place isn't worth it when Thai Aroma is across the street. And has free parking .

We got the Thai chicken egg drop soup, Mussamun curry (with beef) and spicy eggplant with basil (with tofu) on a cold and blustery day. The menu looked quite good so were were excited, but the food was sub-par.

The egg drop soup basically had scrambled eggs in it, which was kind of odd. The eggplant was globe eggplant (i.e. Italian) which doesn't taste right in Asian dishes in my opinion and was slightly undercooked. The Mussamun curry was okay, but pretty much unremarkable.

The waitress was very friendly and made sure we had plenty of water and all that. I probably wouldn't go back again, but I wouldn' t fake my own death to avoid eating it.

I went there right after they opened, and usually had halfway decent food.  I would usually order a basil chicken rice dish with eggrolls.  Nothing special, but it was  convenient and not too bad.

Well, a few months back I visited the place.  The old man didn't speak English, and the girl working could barely speak herself.  It seemed different this time....and when I got home I realized my eggroll was half frozen!  Completely unedible!  WTF?  And my chicken dish had about 4 pieces of chicken, a few cold pieces of vegetable,  with a mixture of brown and white rice.  I ordered brown rice, and I also ordered what I thought would be a hot meal.  It was cold.  Cold.  Like they threw some pre-cooked crap in the pan for 2 minutes.  Complete disrespect.  How could you serve this to a fellow human?

I was so pissed I called them and bitched them out and hung up.  That was the first time I have ever complained to a restaurant.

And that was the last time I went there.  Don't think I'll go back.  Maybe it's better now, I don't know.

I'm always looking for a good Chinese place, but I guess I will keep searching, because Asian Mix just isn't it.

I did the online ordering thing (which I love) and it came quickly... but once it got here. blegh. The Fried rice was gross. Two bites and it's in the trash. It had a bunch of pepper on it and was just gross.
I also ordered potstickers which were just alright, and orange chicken, which was also just alright.

    My search continues....

The menu's large enough that even after numerous visits, I'm still not sure whether I'm giving the place a fair slice here, but the truth of the matter is that the more I get carryout from AMC, the more I notice how none of their food is all that good.

If I didn't live 100 feet away, I probably would never have even noticed the place, despite the bright yellow exterior - it just doesn't look like a restaurant facade. The interior is pretty cramped, too, with only a handful of tables fitting next to the walk-up counter/kitchen area. The layout makes me think the place used to be a dry cleaners.

But it's like half as far a walk as TAC Quick and so I'll sometimes be lazy and try to find something on the AMC menu that'll save me future TAC Quick hikes.

I haven't found anything yet, and as I work my way around the menu, the prospects are dimming rapidly. Maybe there are some things worth ordering twice somewhere in there, but I've given up on trying to find them.

I gotta give it to these guys on advertising because I walked in out of pure curiosity.  It looks like they would serve really "fresh" stuff because of their bright green facade.  I would like to begin with their dining space.  Pretty small.  Their menu is all over the wall and they have pretty nice looking pictures.  When I ordered, the woman didn't ask for payment and didn't even tell me my total.  We waited for about 20 minutes or more for a small portion of mediocre food.  I'd say it's a sub-par type of place.  They seemed really disorganized and probably not used to many customers.  Will not be returning.

    main points:
Normal Asian food prices, half the amount per serving (I didn't have any to take home even though I am a little woman usually counting on one dinner dish to last 2 meals or be able to share)
    Disorganized
    Overall, not very tasty food.

I'm gonna go ahead and give this place kind of a thumbs down, as much as it pains me...

I live pretty close to this place, which is an area lacking in good Asian food. So, naturally I was curious and excited when I discovered that this place existed.

Tried it once... "meh, maybe I got a bad batch, I'll try it again."
Tried it twice... "This was okay. I've definitely had better."
Tried it three times out of desperate craving... "I think this sesame chicken was soaked in water before they gave it to me..."

No flavor, no crisp, no bite... the only thing that was all right was the fried rice. I mean, lets face it, that's hard to screw up royally.

I haven't tried everything on their menu... but all three times it has definitely not lived up to my expectations.

Like the green building tho ;) Which all in all makes it nice to walk past... oof.

If I adamantly stress that I want my curry VERY SPICY, and repeat that request to make sure it is understood, and then recieve something that has all the spice level of creamed corn - you are going to make me VERY UNHAPPY.  grrrrrr.

Asian Mix Cafe is so spice - a - licious I just can't get enough of them curry dishes!  If you like it hot, this place is for you.  This is the best curry I've ever had, and I've had a lot of curry dishes.  I highly recommend their coconut curry and jungle curry vegitarian style or with chicken.  If you want it more spicy just ask and they'll make it just the way you want it!  A beautious thing.

Yum. I'm thrilled to find a place to get good hot soup on my way home from work (before winter starts up). I'm not sure about the review saying that the soup was watered down. Mine tasted too salty! (but at least you can water it down to taste :)

The Asian Mix Café is on the eastern side of Wrigleyville, placed close to one of its more fertile corners for people watchers. Crotchless leather pants, car rentals by the hour, a fitness center, a pet salon, hawkers buying gold, and dollar cheeseburgers are all within yards of the restaurant. On entering we noticed a spotless, small eatery with seating for 20 people over eight small tables. The colorful walls are filled with photos of their dishes, portraits of Thailander VIPs, old-country artifacts, and cheerful strings of holiday lights. A friendly staff of four took turns at the wok and answering our questions.

Three of us ordered the Thai Roast Duck Curry, Shrimps in Lobster Sauce and Pad Thai with seafood.

The duck curry was served in a small boat-shaped vessel. There was a mixture of red and green sweet peppers, onions, shallot greens, pineapple cubes, lychees, fresh cucumber and other mystery ingredients swimming in a robust liquid, with the requisite dish of steamed rice. The first bite brought a surprising wave of gusto: a blend of spicy heat complementing veggies, fruit, lychees and duck slices. It was an instant 5-star rating.
The shrimp in lobster sauce tasted good but had drawbacks: the shrimp had the tails on; the pale dish lacked appeal; and there was a distinct lack of sauce. A three-star rating. The Pad Thai with seafood was a good blend of fried noodles, ground peanuts, veggies and seafood, but had an intrusive aftertaste of plum sauce that overwhelmed the other ingredients. A three-star rating.
We ordered banana smoothies for dessert. Two smoothies were stupendous: sweet liquefied banana, fruit, and mystery pearl-sized gummy balls. A five-star rating. The third smoothie was frozen, and lacked the gummy balls and sweet taste of the others. Three stars.

Overall we decided a 4 star rating was fair. I hope they read reviews because they need to hear that consistently prepared dishes or desserts are best produced with fewer family cooks of varying talent. We will come back for more research.

I'm so glad they opened up by my house. They have a nice mix of Chinese, Thai and Veggie foods and since they've opened I get take out at least once a week...again going down the menu trying new things....and it's all really good. I'm addicted to their tom kha soup and they will make anything as spicy as you can take it...just ask. Last week I took my two picky nieces here, both under 7 y/o, and the waiter was so attentive and nice. They had the orange chicken and loved it!

The prices have gone up and the portions have gotten smaller. Such a shame because this is very close to my house. We had a great relationship while it lasted, but I think the last couple of orders with minimal amounts of meat have cut the cord. If I'm in a pinch and order from here in the future and things have changed, I'll update... but for now, it's so long, AMC.

I had dinner from the Asian Mix Cafe last night.  The food was overall pretty terrible.  We ordered the Genereal Tsao's chicken, beef and broccoli, crab rangoons, and egg rolls.  Everything that touched the fryer was over done and ruined.  I actually got take out so we could not complain and have any of the food remade.  The general's chicken was so overdone and dry that it was comparable to beef jerky.  The chicken was also thin cut and small which made the breading more of a focal point in the meal.  The beef and broccoli was the only thing that wasn't over done because it wasn't fried, but it was also subpar.  The flavor was fine but the quality of the beef was low.   I would not recommend or go back to this restaurant

Terrible fried calamari! I mean bungee cord, pre-made, beyond tasteless fried calamari.  The fact that it was so blatantly pre-made kills me more than any other part of this debacle of a food experience.  The shrimp shumai were minuscule, I mean tiny, imagine a seafood dumpling the size of a Reese's mini peanut butter cup.  That's right!    However, I will give props for the crab Rangoon, it offended me the least.  It's a BYOB, but you better make sure you do bring your own.  The am pm across the street does not sell alcohol, nor does the pharmacy around the corner.  You'll have to travel up to about the 4100 block in order to pick up beer, so be prepared.  Also be prepared for a place that is quite frankly, decorated in a bizarre manner.  Shabby, with new TVs and down loaded photographs of traditional Thai costumes, it's a bit strange.

As a huge fan of Thai food, Asian Mix made me lose my Thaippetite.
I work in the area and had passed by the bright green entrance one too many times.  With a lunch special of only $6.50 including soup or salad, appetizer and entree, I thought it was at least worth trying.  Right after stepping in the door the wave of smelly greasy takes over your senses.  I sat down and looked at the large menu with random Thailand pictures and the lunch special hiding on the last page.  I wanted the salad over cabbage soup but they had no salad and only offered one type of soup.  Sadly enough, the soup was probably the tastiest part of the lunch special.  The appetizer spring roll was underfried and tasted like one that came from a Sam's Club box. No flavor at all!  The chicken Pad See Ew (not sure of how to spell it but I don't think it matters since every Thai restaurant spells it their own way) I had ordered was a bit runny.  My friend had the Pad Sei Ew with pork, yet the waitress wasn't sure which one had chicken and which one had pork.  I personally think they made both of them in the same pan with chicken.  I also ordered a Egg Fried Rice which had lots of pepper and next to no flavor.  The best thing was saved for last, AND FREE...the Asian Passion Fruit candy that came with the bill.  I guess I should have believed fellow Yelper's reviews.

Although the service is far from best, I'd recommend you walk a few blocks north on Broadway to Thai Aroma for their $5 lunch special.  The food is tastier and the space is less cramped.
