If I am not in the Asian Buffet at least once every 7 to 10 days something is wrong. My neighbor and I usually go there at least this frequently for a "girls lunch out". The #1 reason for this is LOCATION, LOCATION, LOCATION. It is only about 3.5 mins. from our houses. #2 reason for patronizing this establishment is cleanliness and pleasant service from the wait staff. The waitresses always remember our beverage orders. The restaurant always appears to be clean and the clientele are your average school bus driver, army reserve members and young couples.
The buffet features the average asian fare of dishes, soups and veggies. My only wish would be that they would mix it up a bit in terms of the offerings on the buffet. Once in a while I would like to see something different offered. To me this would be a good idea to keep the regulars interested.
The lunch buffet served from 11am to 3pm is now $6.25 pp. Sushi is available but you wouldn't catch me anywhere near that stuff but that is just a personal aversion. Kids under 3yrs. eat free but let's face it they don't eat much anyway.
To encourage people to order "off the menu" instead of the buffet, I would like to see the chef perhaps circulate in the dining room with samples of a new dish for patrons to try but what do I know about running a restaurant. Also, the menu I took today has numerous glaring English errors on it which I blame totally on the printer who produced it. -

Small and clean. Food is good. Typical Chinese buffet food. And they have an assortment of pretty good sushi - more than I would usually see at a buffet. They offer sauces on the side for the sushi. Nice touch.
In addition to the typical dessert bar there are 4 flavors of hand dip ice cream. If you like Chinese buffets, add this one to your list. -

I REALL don't like giving bad reviews, but this one can't be helped! When we first moved to this area, the Asian Buffet was a great find! The food was fresh, the service was great, and the prices were right. Over time, they have gone downhill! They changed management a while back, and apparently they've changed chefs as well. The food is now greasy and poorly seasoned. The service at the carry out counter is friendly, but the girls working the buffet are frequently and unnecessarily snarky. The other day, my husband walked out because they hadn't started fixing his carry out order 20 minutes after he'd ordered it, and the restaurant was empty. I much prefer Silver Sea on Main Street in Hummelstown. Their food is much better, and so is their service.

My friends and I (big group) had dinner here on Saturday. The staff seemed nice but the selection of food was very small. Maybe of quarter of what you would find in a regular buffet (at least in NYC). On top of that, what turned us off was the fact that there was hardly any food in the trays. If you're looking for a quick cheap bite, then this maybe for you.

update: ive been back twice since my initial review, im moving it to up 3 stars.
We found a coupon in the Clipper Magazine for a dollar off our buffet, so we decided to try it. I came here once before last march and didnt really like it. Today really confirmed that. The food was alright, they have basically anything else a small buffet would have. Soup, salad, deserts, it had sushi advertised in neon in the window, but there wasnt any there when we arrived. so we jsut asked and they made it up right away.
they had 3 tables worth of food, it wasnt too too busy there. they had a hand written sign on the register that said "5.00 dollar minimum with credit or debit card." they were pretty nice and fast bringing us water and seating us. the cost was 5.99 for the lunch buffet. -

This is a typical chinese buffet with the typical buffet fare. The only other one that I've tried in the area is Old China Buffet on Main St. and I definitely think Asia Buffet is better! They've always had sushi available whenever I go there (been there over 5 times as I live nearby). Although their food is typical, I'm giving it 4 stars because: (1) their location is convenient for me, (2) staff is friendly, (3) food is better than the other buffet near the area, (4) they have take-out that they sell by the pound, and (5) IT'S CHEAP! It's just $5.99 for lunch and $6.99 for dinner.

i eat here about once a week and i just love it. lunch is only $ 6.35 and the food is fresh and tasty. it only has 3 buffet lines but so does old china buffet in hummelstown which is at least $ 3.00 more and the food is dry and not real fresh. service is good, food is good and the place is realy clean. what more could you want without driving 20 minutes to harrisburg to a little larger buffet with more food items?
