Whenever i get sushi from here i'm continuously grateful to have excellent quality and service.  I order something from here on average once a week or so, some weeks i get it more than once.....it's that good.

They have some really tasty maki worth bragging about: sweet potato tempura, shrimp tempura, avocado-peanut, yellow tail, mmm salmon avocado is my favorite. Their signature "dragon" and "Sunny girl" rolls are almost to die for.

Dining in? You have the choice of hibachi seating, and regular restaurant seating. Hibachi is always entertaining, pretty standard hibachi show there. I recently took my mother out for her birthday, we sat in the back dining room, the sushi chef actually made her a special raw role (some tasty mystery fish) and didn't charge us!.......birthdays celebrated on the hibachi side have their own special treat, that i really can't spoil the surprise.......(so if you go with a group of friends make sure you tell the wait staff it's someone's birthday, even if it isn't, pick the friend you think will be able to play along best, and then just sit back and enjoy)

I like hibachi filet mignon & shrimp, and when i don't feel like meat hibachi- vegetables are just as delicious. Again, pretty standard hibachi selections. I haven't had a whole lot from the entree menu.  However, beef negimaki is AMAZING! It also comes in appetizer size if you want to get other stuff and don't want to be overwhelmed with food.

Full bar, happy hour specials, happy belly all the time :)
The traditional rolls and hunks of individual raw fish are decently priced, but i think the signature rolls are a little too pricey for what they really are, don't get me wrong, they're still delicious and i pay 12 bucks for a "sunny girl" every chance i get.

FOOD:  I'm a little surprised at the other reviewers' high ratings, but perhaps the standard for Chinese food in this area is not the same as California, where I'm from!  Most of the dishes are underwhelming or watered down.  The gyoza and lo main were disappointing, while the General Tsao's chicken was alright.  The soups are somewhat weak-flavored, while the green tea is good.  Overall, this place would never stay in business with any real competition.

SERVICE:  is fairly attentive, though not extremely warm or friendly.

AMBIANCE:  is actually pretty nice, with smart decor and furniture.  There is plenty of parking in front or in back of the mall in which this restaurant is located.

    VALUE:  they are not expensive.

I had dinner here twice while working away from home in Willimantic. Both times the sushi were super fresh; they did not overload their "fancy" rolls with mayo like I've seen at many other places. I hate that practice because it really takes away the flavors of the fish and makes sushi resemble American-styled fast-food. For dessert, I had the mochi ice cream, which was tasty and fresh as well. Everything was beautifully presented and the wait for food and service wasn't long.

The restaurant is huge inside, with lots of seating options and at least 6 hibachi grills (from what I can remember. They may have had more). Definitely check it out if you are in the mood for Asian food (I noticed they had alot of stir fry dishes on their menu as well if you are not in the mood for raw fish).

The habachi tasted great, chef was very talented, my only complaint was that when we went with multiple people it took to long to get all of our food on our plates.  I was done with my rice for the most part then I got my chicken and veggies.

Would have been better if it was all served more timely together. But good food good serivice deff will come back.

This place is freaking delicious.  I trek it here from UConn like once a week for the Lunch Special.  Whenever my mom comes to visit she demands we go to Asian Bistro.

Literally the most random location ever but good god it's so good.  It got me absolutely addicted to sushi.

I constantly keep coming here from UConn to get the fantastic food that these artisans craft! I have tried the hibachi many times (hibachi chicken, steak, salmon), and I think it truly gets better each time you go there. They recently revamped the hibachi chef's performances, which tells me that they want to be better, too. Try. the. sushi! It's surprising for Mansfield, CT, but trust me, it's quality stuff! Sericee is also average to good - Optimal parking is behind the East Brook Mall, where it is essentially sitated. Go there now!!

"Bringing a taste of Manhattan to the Quiet Corner"

This place is an oasis for those of you who enjoy good food.  The sushi is amazing and Tony, the head sushi chef, is an artisan who has fine tuned his skills whilst keeping his creativity of any sort of flavorful combination you could imagine.  The Sushi Bar room is like steeping outside to a Asian Grotto (if there is such a thing), with a full size replica of a tree in fall glory under a tented awning.  The Asian Bistro Cake, and the Bistro Tuna Tartar will have you coming in 7 times a week, twice a day.  The bar is a work of art in itself and the staff attends all of your needs impeccably.  And then there is the show piece, the skilled hibachi chefs who create the steaming onion volcano to "shooting shrimp" to a willing diner.  The restaurant is located behind the East Brook Mall, across from the Movie theater.  If you are in the area (Friday and Saturday seatings fill up quickly so come early or stay later for bar lounging) and want to witness great food outside the city, Asian Bistro is a must eat.

They have the best sushi rolls on earth (my favorite: Philadelphia, Mansfield, spider and sweet potato rolls). I cannot eat sushi rolls anywhere else because they don't taste as good. Love their service, drinks and don't forget your student id to receive 10% discount. In Willimantic, there are not that many nice restaurants but this one is really special. LOVE IT!!!

If I told you that you, (yes you!) could get really good sushi, I mean Boston/New York standards good, in Mansfield Connecticut, you would probably think I had lost my god damn fool mind. And if I happened to appended said statement with the established suburban mall setting of said sushi joint, you would subsequently call me a big fat liar and then proceed to spit in my handsome face. And hey, I really wouldn't blame you.  I didn't believe it either. But listen:  I am not being mendacious about the Asian Bistro. Really good sushi, for really cheap. Yes, it is in a mall. Yes, it is in Mansfield, CT. Yes it looks like it was decorated by a site impaired/ bipolar 12 year old. And yes, they pump out slow jazz of easy listening hits, lyrics replaced with an out of tune saxophone that makes you feel like you are losing your mind. But seriously, this place is cheap and good and you would be out of YOUR mind not to eat here. Well only if you happen to be in the Mansfield/Storrs region and like sushi.  Do it!
