Review from Megan W.
I am always skeptical of a multi-cuisine restaurant. With Chinese, Japanese, and Thai dishes on the menu...I was worried they were trying really hard to do many things, rather than doing a few things well.
With my husband working the night shift, I decided to order some take out. Yeah, I'm really living it up on a Saturday night. Would have ordered delivery to be ultra-lazy...but it's a $15 minimum and I couldn't justify ordering that much.
When I arrived, the appearance of the place made me a little concerned. But, I'm determined to find good Chinese near my house so I don't have to drive across town to Asia every time I want some good Chinese food. :)
Had the sesame chicken and crab rangoons. I am so excited to find some crab rangoon that are made with the won-ton style wrappers. They were perfectly crispy and not greasy. May be some of the best crab rangoon I've had since moving to the Lehigh Valley.
The sesame chicken was really good as well - not over battered and nice and juicy. The sauce wasn't too sugary and had just the right amount of spice.
I will absolutely be back. Next time I will have to try the Pad Thai. Usually a I am a sucker for a good Pad Thai, but tonight I had a craving for sesame chicken. -

When my friend suggested we try this place I said - "You mean the one with the crappy sign?" And it's true- you won't be drawn to this place for it's graphics or interiors...this rennovated gas station-turned-restaurant has a harsh exterior and a dull, clashing interior.
Once I read the menu, however, things began to look up. They have an excellent selection of Chinese, Japanese and Thai dishes, and everything's incredibly affordable. I tried the Singapore noodles for 8.95, and was very pleased. Spicy and fragrant, loaded with chicken, shrimp and beef (all nice pieces, not fatty or questionable), this dish was satisfying enough for two meals. They also have a great lunch menu and some creative appetizers I'd like to check out the next time I go.
Probably not the best place to go on a romantic date, but that's what take-out's for. ; ) -

A great lunch spot. The specials are a bargain for the amount of food you get. Small inside, busy at lunch, but I've never had to wait for a table. Food comes out fairly quickly, and the one woman who is both the waitress and cashier really stays on top of everything.
And yes, it is in a converted gas station, and has a crappy sign. Don't let it bother you though, the food more than makes up for it. -

I've eaten here several times. Although I wouldn't rave about it or drive from Limeport where I live to Trexlertown just for take out, the food is decent and I continue to stop there if I'm hungry and in the area. What that means is, I've never received a bad meal. I'd call the food better than average, prices are reasonable and service is efficient.

For the area, this place is great. The food is fresh and tasty. I prefer take out to eating in, but either way the experience is good. They also deliver in the area. I've been a fan of their Chicken Pad Thai, Satay Chicken, Mango Chicken and Ginger Chicken.
The prices are great and it's BYO, so Asian Bistros is a great deal. If you're up for spending a little more money, try Liu House on Tilghman in Allentown.
