Finally, good-quality, reasonably-priced sushi! This may be the thing I miss the most about the Cape.

Tried the Baby Tako Salad special - who can resist sweet little baby octopi marinated in something red with ginger and sesame and served in a martini glass?
LOVE the sushi lunch specials - so much food for a reasonable price. Yummy hot & sour soup and salad with thick and grainy ginger dressing. I had the Sushi & Sashimi, which was so fresh and soooo good! For those suspicious of sushi, the Veggie Make makes for another frugal lunch with its ripe avocado, rolled beyond reproach.

Bottom line: If you're even in Mashpee, this is THE place to eat!

My sister and her kids are big fans of Asia. It's close-by, and dishes up tasty Asian fare to eat in or take out. In my experience, only having had their take-outt, it's overpriced for what you get, but uses fresh ingredients and good seasoning.

The place looks nicer than average for eating in and its convenient location in the shopping area of Mashpee makes it a popular choice for summer tourists and year-round locals alike.

I am of the opinion that it's better to do a more limited menu very well than a wide variety of dishes (Chinese, Thai, Japanese in this case) just okay, but Asia probably falls into the latter category. There's nothing wrong with the food, it's just not really something to go seek out. I wouldn't bother with sushi there unless you're just into something simple like a California roll.

I called for take out on New Years Eve. A  women answered the phone, I wasn't rushed when I gave my order, in fact I had to call back to change it and that was no problem either. However I was told there would be a 45 minute wait before I could pick up my order. Okay fine I can wait, but I'm sorry I did. When I returned with the order (3 miles away) and unpacked it the meal was warm at best. We were hungry but I had to reheat it first. I hope next time there is better communication between the person taking the order and the kitchen, my meal was most likely ready 15 minutes after I called $52.00 order and not all that satisfied, although after quick warm up dumpling soup was very good!

Came here a few weeks ago with a gal-pal to get our Sushi on!
Started with the Miso, Seaweed Salad and Sake.
Ordered a couple of rolls to share, Spicy Tuna and Salmon and a Tempura Shrimp.
I was excited since this was my 2nd Sushi experience (the 1st being Haru) and was expecting the same deliciousness....
Unfortunately I was somewhat disappointed. The rice wasn't thoroughly cooked and the Nori was tough. However, the Spicy Salmon and the Shrimp roll besides all that were pretty tasty.
Perhaps it was an off night? It was Sunday so maybe that's why?
I have been here previously for take out Chinese and wasn't really WOWED so......?

We go here alot.  I love the chinese.  My husband who does not like chinese that much really liked it.  Sushi is good.  We choose this place alot with friends.  The 4 stars is for the drinks.  They are not that great.  You I have always noticed on the scorpion bowls.  So I figured tonight I'd order something else.  Not much better with a pinapple passion or the fog cutter.  Great food.  Drinks meh.

Blend of sushi, thai and chinese options - most places that do that can't do it very well ... Asia does it better than most. We didn't opt for the sushi, but had a few chinese/thai dishes that were quite good. Shrimp spring rolls were good (had been told they were not fried, would have prefered not, but still good), house fried rice very good, not greasy. Thai basil beef dish very yummy.

Only reason not more stars, pretty pricy, especially for portion size.

Would definitely go back for sushi - looked yummy!

    Hmm.

Well, at least there's a lot of choices... none were good...
    Shudder...

First off, I appreciated that there were some asian food places on the cape.  While I love italian, I had to have SOME rice on this trip.  This place was a relatively new looking place.  They were trying to be kinda trendy, but this area feels like it should be more suited to the older/retirees crowd.

Asia is just as it sounds, an Asian restuarant that tries to serve basically a whole east asia's worth of food.  This would be an immediate losing proposition in LA, but hell, there's just not that many options out here on the cape.

So when we went, we tried to get some 'variety':  We had miso soup, 'Kelbi', Pad Thai, and Beef Broccoli.  For beer, I think we had some Sapporo so that was a nicer surprise

Miso soup... what the, watery but salty.  Beef broccoli was ok, but a little tough.  Kalbi was tough and tasted closer to some sort of salty teriyaki-ish flavor.  Pad Thai was weird; was very watery and sweet.  Portions were pretty good though.

Overall, this would be a 2 but at least it was pretty filling.  And since there's just not that many Asian options at night on the cape well... 3 stars.

Got take out.  Excellent, crispy egg rolls, crispy spring rolls and chicken pad thai.  The crispy beef wasn't so crispy by the time we got home, neither were the scallion pancakes.  Would definitely order from here again though.

Was introduced to Asia last summer by a friend.  Have probably eaten there 10-12 times since with each visit providing no surprises.  The sushi has always been excellent and the service equally on par.
I look for two things in a restaraunt of this type, cleanliness and freshness and they excel in both.  Chef Wong has been away for some time it seems but the apprentices have done a good job.

Asia is grrrrreat!  I come here for the super fresh sushi.
They have great rolls, awesome seaweed salad and the biggest scorpion bowls you've ever seen!!
They opened not too long ago, under a year. From day one its been spot on.
A fitting addition to the Mashpee Commons food culture.

Went there last night!  The sushi (Idaho,Alaska,Spicy salmon and caterpillar roll) was excellent,  the Thai Basil Beef was insanely tender and flavorful, and the scorpion bowls were huge!  I can't wait to go back!

Went for lunch miso and salad were great. All the sushi was spot on had some good sounding rolls but I had the sushi/sushimi lunch special which was one of the best I had even though the spicy tuna roll was a little heavy on the panko.

Unreal.  Anyone who has a single bad thing to say about Asia will have to face ZackAttack in a battle of the bands.

The Saki Bombs are stewed to perfection.

My Favorite nearby Asian restaurant on Cape. I've not come close to trying from the broad menu, I love variety and this menu provides lots of choice. All we've had was first class, service is good and quick, Never had to wait to be seated and prices are OK.

Eat here for a relaxed, tasty meal, with many options at a reasonable price and catch a movie after round the corner. An unusually wide range of choices from Asia - Chinese, Japanese, Korean - surprisingly, the variety doesn't reduce the quality of dishes. Clean, contemporary, welcoming, and kid friendly. Sushi is 4/5 (and we've been to all Boston Sushi restaurants). Hot pots were excellent. Large drink selection is available from the well-trained and friendly bar staff. TVs above the bar distract the kids so face the kids in another direction.

This place has replaced a Chinese restaurant in the mashie commons- it looks great inside.  The food is pretty good too.  The service however is poor.  I went in while on vacation ordered about $80 worth of sushi (toro, urchin, etc - not a huge plate, just expensive items) the bungling waitstaff brought everyone else's meals and I waited an hour before I got a bite of anything.  Every five minutes someone would come by and say that my sushi was on it's way.  Really? Is that how to run a business?  Should I have to wait while everyone around me has long finished their meals- especially when were paying the high end prices they're charging? I think not.

The location where Asia is at in Mashpee Commons has been a revolving door to Asian food restaurants since i can remember. Many different names, many different levels of quality of food.
"Asia" is definitely one of the best establishments there in the history of Mashpee Commons.
Takeout is quick (10 mins even with an almost full sit down house). Takeout is fresh and delicious, bonus number two.
"Asia" offers a great, unique line of "real" sushi to complement traditional Chinese dishes. I have not tried the sushi yet. I may go back when they open for early lunch and grab some while I have the opportunity.
In addition to everyone who has eaten there that I know LOVES the food the staff is nice, attentive and helpful. Especially the hostess and takeout order staff. The wait staff is competent as well.
Great beer selection for a Chinese food place. Relaxing, moderately lit interior. Plenty of parking and stuff to do in surrounding Mashpee Commons.

Really pleased w/ my experience here. We didn't have to wait to be seated (although it was pretty full inside) and the service was quick. I was a little hesitant to try the fried calamari appetizer at an Asian restaurant (I really think of that as more of an Italian dish) but since it was listed as a 'must try' on the menu, we gave it a go, and so glad we did! It was reaallllly good. Lightly breaded, well seasoned. Yum. I'd also recommend the Seaweed salad and Korean Kelbi as 'must tries'!! Will definitely be going back there.

There's a food event going on at Asia in Mashpee Commons.  I predict this relatively small restaurant will one day have lines of shivering hungry folks huddled outside waiting for a table to open.  Yes, the food is that good. We had old friends visiting from Maryland, they have a home in Chatham, and rather then meet half way, they wanted to take our advice and come all the way to Mashpee for a feast at Asia.  When Asia first opened a couple of years ago, we had had the whole deep fried Bass.  We did it again last night and it was sumptuous.  This big fish was how we finished the meal.  We started with Salmon Belly inside a roll of thinly sliced cucumber. Next delectable sushi, the wafers of Hamachi and Maguro were delicate and fresh, indeed we began talking about making it an all sushi evening.  The sushi presentation by Chef Wong was topped off with an Idaho Roll, which is Japanese sweet potato in a maki roll.  Our guests had never had it before and they were so pleased by the flavor and texture.  With the fish we had Chinese fried crispy noodles with a variety of meats and vegetables.  It was a five gold star meal and our friends were delighted that made the drive from Chatham to dine at Asia.  They will return.  I think it's safe to say Asia is the best Chinese restaurant on Cape Cod.
