I work next door and eat here almost everyday. The sandwiches are very good. The teriyaki is amazing! You can find all kinds of good stuff in there, even wine and beer. The service is good and the staff is super nice!

This is a mini mart with sandwiches.... and teriyaki!!
Um... OKAY! I was kind of craving something with rice, so when I saw the word "teriyaki" on their window I was drawn inside.
The two people working sort of seemed preoccupied with some cleaning or shelving during part of my visit, but they did make my teriyaki and it was pretty good. The serving size was good and the total was just a little over $7.
I was thankful that they had a few tables and a few individual bar-like seats facing the window, because it would have sucked to have to search for a quiet/warm place to eat elsewhere. I saw a few locals come by to pick up items for preparing food at home, and they seemed to like the convenience of the location.
Actually, now that I think about it... that was the only time I've eaten a big serving of rice recently and not felt sick-ish after. Awesome!
If you care - The deli sandwich section had the Boar's Head Brand logo.Listed in: Eastsiding It, Teri - Teri - Teriyaki!

Review from Han O.
They aren't bad at all once you figure out what to order. My first couple experiences weren't the best and I probably would have given up were it not for some coworkers singing their praises.
Their paninis aren't what you would typically call a panini. They take regular deli sandwich bread and grill it with some funky ingredients (depending on which one you order). The one with raw bell peppers and onions, dressed with spicy horseradish mustard was practically inedible.
The second visit, I decided to grab a pre-made croissant sandwich which was EXCELLENT. It had Boar's Head roast beef, cheddar, fresh tomatoes and whole leaf lettuce that was perfectly prepared (i.e. not wilted or or too wet) on a large, delicious croissant.
The third time, I decided to get the spicy chicken teriyaki special my coworkers raved about. Unfortunately, it was disappointing. The chicken and assorted veggies were prepared crock pot style instead of on the grill. It was pretty bland, lacked sauce, and had that gamey flavor of dark chicken meat throughout it. Plus, it wasn't even remotely spicy.
However today, I tried the spicy teriyaki again and it was far far better. Maybe last time, they gave me regular chicken instead of the spicy kind. But I wasn't prepared for how spicy it was and couldn't finish half of it. It was one of those dishes where you knew you were in trouble after the first bite. The underlying flavors were much better and more robust. Definite contender.
Final verdict: it can be hit or miss depending on what you order but when they hit the mark, they do pretty well. -

The Ashwood Urban Market opened last week and offers fresh sandwiches, soups, and salads among a variety of grocery items including wine, beer, cheeses, and frozen dinners. Since opening they seem to be constantly packed during the lunch hours. I have tried a few of their sandwiches and they are good. They typically give you plenty of meat and they have a wide assortment of Boar's Head Brand products. Their prices seem a bit high but it is a solid choice for lunch and a huge convince if live nearby and need something quick without running to a supermarket.
[Update] Since opening, the plaza outside the building has been a lot more lively with people since the market opened which is always a good thing!
