Good place to go on Sunday's for football they have a good brunch special and are willing to put your games on for you.  The waitstaff was very friendly.  Only negative is if you plan to stay for the whole game they seem to change the games around to different tvs.

Ya know what I like? Vodka. You know what else I like? Pizza. You know what I really like? Drinking lots of vodka and then eating lots of pizza. Best diet ever, just ask my bootay.

The only reason I am ever in this area is if I am at Tse Yang getting my Chinese food on. But Tse Yang closes their awesometown doors at 10pm. And sometimes after a couple Mai Tai's and shrimp dumplings, I am ready to party. Enter Ashton's.

Hi Ashton. I'm Melody. I'll be drinking your vodka. Thanks.

The bartenders are so cool here and know how to pour both a Guinness and a vodka soda (lemons, no limes please.) It's a good place to watch a game or sip on some bevvies with friends. (The All Star game was on last night.) Their dinner menu offers items like Grilled Atlantic Salmon Steak, Grilled Chicken Mango & Avocado Salad, Beef Battered Fish & Chips and Cognac Pumpkin Cheesecake. They also offer a Prix Fixe menu.

If you're in the area and need a solid place to to depend on for good service and good brews, visit Ashton's.

Oh and they let you bring in HUGE pizzas from vendors down the street. Or maybe they just didn't care at 4 in the morning ...

The bartenders are really friendly. This place won't get crowded on a weekday night.
The drinks were fairly priced, and I loved the really old bartender, who sounded like popeye.

    And oh yeah,I'm 40- 20 + 10 - 10, haha.

Pretty classy-looking place, not too crowded either for lunch.

Food was good... maybe not fantastic but solid.

Nice view of a waterfall-type thing in the back. Nicely decorated... although the one regular tv sort of clashes with the flat screens.

Good for: dates, dinner with the fams, etc.

I love this place.  I think it has the best bar food in town.  Great burgers, great meat pies of all kinds, decent fish and chips, so-so salads.  The service is excellent, though that may be because I'm a regular here.  They know me.

If I have a major cheeseburger jones, this is the only place I want to go.  I have an almost Pavlovian reaction when it comes to this place.

Ashton's is a nice quiet and classy bar on 50th & 3rd around the corner from Gyu-Kaku Midtown and across the street from Quizno's.

It's a good place to gather after work as it is not packed.

Was here for St. Patty's Day last week.  Chose here as we were able to get a table outside and it was the start of nice weather.

Great service. Good french fries, ok chicken tenders, great fish and chips(though those were had towards the end of the night so my perception might be a bit off) Did have a few dirty glasses throughout the night.

A bit pricey if you are just looking to get drunk on St. Patty's. But we paid the extra few bucks in the end for not having to worry about having a beer spilt on us or needing to yell when talking to each other.

Oh and there was a cute Russian girl at the table next to us.

Ashton's is one of those old-school joints where the waiters wear pressed white collared shirts, horn-rimmed glasses, and silver hair.  I've had happy hour here a couple times and it's not too shabby: the appetizers are decent, there's free hot food (usually pasta of some sort), and it never gets crowded.  It's a far cry from the hip Dos Caminos across the street, but it's cheaper and more chill.  The wine selection is pretty poor, but they're fully stocked on everything else.

I hit this spot every night i was in NY last time, mainly because it was 2 blocks from my hotel and open till 4am. I love the feeling you get when you choose to leave the bar before last call instead of being told its time to go. The bartenders were SUPER friendly and so were the local New Yorkers. They made me feel right at home.

my kind of bar is one where you can hear yourself speak, not too crowded or smoky and with good drinks.

ashton's is it.  my first time here, i'm embarrassed to say, i got a midori sour, which was surprisingly good.  more recently, i went for my vodka and sprite and it had just the right amount of alcohol.  we didn't really try any entrees, but they do have a full menu.

this is a more low-key bar, so you won't find too many drunkards here!

Hands Down- the worst NYC dining experience I've ever had. To preface this, I would like to say that I myself am in the food industry so i understand when things go wrong. However, this experience had no redeeming quality whatsoever. First, we were not greeted at the door. We waited to be seated with no one ahead of us. The waitress took our drink and food order but we waited 15 minutes for our drinks because we had to give the owner our drink order again because the waitress lost our order. Once we got our food, my friend was unhappy with his soup/sandwich. His soup was not good and wanted to get fries instead. He tried to explain this to the owner but she threw her hands up and walked away. We weren't expecting a comp or anything to be taken off of the bill but we tried to explain our displeased meal to the waitress and the manager but they were not helpful. The waitress actually told us, "Don't worry about it." Not to mention, as we were trying to eat our meal Karaoke was going on. This place is a bar/restaurant. Naturally, some children got on the mic and started screaming into it and no one stopped them. Then, as we were putting on our coats to leave the owner tried to explain herself but was just rude and unhelpful. All around a terrible experience.
