We called Curtis based on the yelp reviews. (Thank you to all the reviewers!)
This guy is great.
He came out immediately, helped us limit water damage, walked around the house with us to show us what we needed to watch and take care of - and even left us his water meter key until we had a chance to figure out insurance and he could come back.
We had a leak from a rusted kitchen sink pipe that was leaking into the basement. He warned us about mold and mildew. He shared his experience with insurance agencies, what we should expect and the best way to handle them.
Curtis is honest, punctual and takes a lot of pride in doing the job right and with great workmanship. His work is fast and solid and comes with a 6 month guarantee. If we ever need a plumbing problem, he's officially on speed dial. -

I called Curtis on a Wed, and he was able to come out early Friday morning. Curtis was 10 minutes early and finished up a kitchen faucet install in an hour. He was professional, courteous, and friendly. His price was good, and I have zero complaints about the work or the cost.
He explained everything, and gave me some tips on preventive maintenance. I plan to use Ashton Plumbing for all my plumbing needs (which hopefully won't be too often).
5 stars without hesitation. -

We have used Curtis again and again. We were in desperate need of a good plumber on Jan 1st, 2011. Our upstairs kitchen faucet had been leaking, unbeknownst to us, and damaged the wood flooring upstairs as well as the drywall in the ceiling and walls of the rec room downstairs. We were impressed with Curtis's plumbing skills and the insurance company needed his assessment as a basis to try to collect damages from the responsible faucet company.
Since that time, we have used Curtis on several occasions and he has always been thorough and professional. He is a highly skilled plumber and does not waste your time. We are considering using him for an addition to our house.
We unhesitatingly recommend him highly. And, in fact, just used his service yesterday. -

This review is based on my interaction with the business owner only.
I recently had a negative experience with a plumber at John C. Flood, and wanted to get a 2nd opinion on the service that was provided so that we could just have all issues (if there were any additional ones) resolved at one time and get our gas turned back on.
I ended up speaking to Curtis Ashton, the business owner. Initially, he told me it would be $125 for someone to come out and assess the situation. It was a bit high for what I was looking for since I already had 1 plumber come out. I ended up telling him the details of my ordeal, and he was able to clarify the questions that the JCF plumber would not respond to, essentially saving me the cost of having another plumber come out! -

There's a saying "you're as good as your word". Curtis Ashton represents it well. First, he arrived 10 mins earlier to the house, he promised to get things done within 20 mins and delivered...all with a natural charm and dedication to his profession. Top notch player all the way!!!

At the end of the day, my tub isn't clogged, and that's the most important thing. However, he did make the appointment while distracted and on another job, then claim (when I called him 30 minutes after my appointment was scheduled to happen) that I never gave him my unit # in my building. Impossible. He also said he didn't know how to reach me, when in fact he asked me during my initial phone call, "Is the number you're calling from the number where I can reach you?" He was cheaper than O'Neill's quote, but said that was a discounted rate and I wasn't entitled to the Yelp discount advertised on this page.
But as I said, he did the job quickly and my tub isn't clogged anymore. -

I had Curtis come to my home to repair a leaking faucet in my bathroom. He was excellent. He came out soon after i called and repaired the faucet. He is pleasant and really knows what he's doing. I would recommend him to anyone who needs a plumber.

Curtis is knowledgeable and patient, and his prices are great.
I called him panicking about a horrible leak under the sink that flooded our kitchen and leaked through the floor into the basement. He took the time to carefully listen to the problem and gave me a range of costs over the phone that were significantly less than what I received elsewhere.
When he arrived, he fixed the problem quickly and provided a discount on top of the quoted service because of the advertising on his website.
Good service, good experience. I will use him again! -

What do most people look for in a plumber? A basic list of "must haves" when looking for a plumber are:
1) Reliability
2) Promptness
3) Honesty
4) Competitive prices
5) Quality work
Of all these requirements, Ashton Plumbing not only met ALL five points in the above list but exceeds all my expectations. Our experience with Ashton Plumbing started via a phone call with owner Curtis Ashton who was both polite and very patient in helping me determine the nature of work required for my plumbing job. After speaking to Curtis and comparing his great prices against other competing plumbing companies, we made an appointment to have him begin working at our home at 8am on Saturday morning.
I was blown away by his promptness as Curtis Ashton appeared at our home ON-TIME! It was 7:58am when he was already ringing our doorbell. Check plus for his promptness!
As he began working, Mr. Ashton was quite personable and very knowledgeable about his field. He was both patient and very personable as I asked question after question while he diligently began working. Not only did he engage in good spirited banter as he worked, but he was a very likable person that seemed very genuine and real.
Although the work exceeded the amount of time initially estimated, I was impressed by the high quality of work and Mr. Ashton's dedication to ensuring the job was well done. Both Mr. Ashton and I agreed that instead of focusing on time, the importance of any job should be quality. Mr. Ashton tested out the water-powered back-up sump pump he had installed and made sure it was working properly before he finalized his work.
I have never in my life met a MASTER plumber as dedicated and genuinely concerned with giving 100% to a job. He proved his honesty by not changing the price of his initial estimate although the work required Mr. Ashton to work more hours than expected.
At the end of the job Mr. Ashton demonstrated the new water-powered back-up sump pump and made sure I was satisfied with the work. Upon my personal "QA" of his work, Mr. Ashton cleaned up the work site and left the work area spotless.
I have no qualms about singing his praises and will do my best to spread the work of Ashton Plumbing to anyone that needs plumbing work. Working with such professional and honest individuals in this crazy world is a rarity. Please feel free to contact me if you need a reference for Mr. Ashton as I would be more than happy to provide a recommendation to anyone needing plumbing work.
I'm sure that you'll be satisfied with the great work done by Ashton Plumbing. It should be noted that Mr. Ashton is a licensed Master plumber.

After seeing the reviews on Yelp, I decided to call Curtis Ashton for a quote on replacing my sump pump. I spoke to him on a Friday afternoon, and his quote was less than the others I received (in one case, over $100 less). We set an appointment for the following Monday. Curtis arrived promptly, and was friendly and courteous. He replaced the sump pump quickly and made sure that he kept the surrounding area clean and neat. I was impressed with his professionalism and will definitely call on him again when I need plumbing work.

I had three toilets that were making noises and dripping in the tanks. Nothing major but very annoying. Friends told me it was probably a $10 flapper part from Home Depot but I am not good at repairs so I decided to call Curtis based on all the rave reviews on here. We made an appointment for Saturday. He came on time and did the job. Even though I mentioned the yelp 10% discount, he still charged me $360 (without the discount, it would be $400!!!!) for some minor flapper replacements. That is way too EXPENSIVE!! I was shocked at that amount. He later told me he also charges extra for Saturdays...well, gee, if I knew that upfront, I wouldn't have agreed on that day. Be warned, it will cost you a lot to use this guy. ASK about prices beforehand. Three stars because he did the job and came on time. I need to find more handyman friends for these simple fixes *sigh*

For a single woman, water gushing down an inside wall is the stuff nightmares are made of. Factor in being new in town, being in the aftermath of the '09 Blizzard, it being the day before Christmas Eve with family flying in from the West coast, and I was stressed by the time I found Ashton Plumbing.
I immediately reached Mr. Ashton, who patiently listened to my explanation of the issue and gave me a rough idea of the costs I could be facing for repairs. He assured me he would give a quote when he determined the exact issue once onsite.
Mr. Ashton arrived exactly when he said he would, braving my unplowed gravel country road covered in 24" of snow, within an hour of my call to him. He promptly located the problem, which was much smaller than I had feared, and showed it to me while explaining the fix and cost. He was finished and cleaned up in a very reasonable amount of time.
As a single woman, I fear being taken advantage of by contractors-especially in situations like these. I have plumbing contacts in my hometown whom I contacted for a price check on the quoted work. They both confirmed I was given a *very* fair price for the job, and considering the weather and it being 2 days before Christmas it was very, very fair price.
In short- Mr. Ashton immediately responded, gave a fair price even with the post-blizzard weather conditions and the approaching holiday, provided an honest, quality fix and was clean and respectful of my home. I don't think I could have asked for more in a plumber! -

We used Ashton Plumbing to repair a pipe in the wall. Only thing that knocks it down from a 5 to a 4 star was a misunderstanding on scheduling. Once we got that taken care of, Mr Ashton was on time, did a great job, and was happy to explain various things and even check something else out while he was there. The price was very fair, and I'd be happy to call him again!
