Salem, WV
My thanks to Dee and Dino for managing such a nice motel. I was a bit nervous with the price being lower than other nearby places, but I'm glad I stayed here. The room and bathroom looked newly remodeled. Very nice inside. I would stay here again.

I loved this motel! We had a king room which was obviously recently renovated. The bed was super comfy and had decent linens (Target Home Collection). The room was very clean--sterile, even. The bathroom was great and the shower was huge and beautiful.
The front desk lady was incredibly kind when we checked in/out. For $100/night, I thought we got a great deal. -

We stayed for a week in Ashland Motel during a business trip. Impressed throughout our stay by the friendly owners and staff, and enjoyed a quiet, comfortable and very CLEAN room. The showers are neat, featuring lovely tile work and a great big shower head. You can walk to one of the best places for breakfast in Ashland, Morning Glory, and the hotel is a convenient and short distance from the heart of downtown Ashland. We had to make some last-minute adjustments to reservations for our group, and Dee and Daureen were extra-helpful and accommodating. A great value in Ashland -- I'm a fan!

Review from Charlie R.
Oakland, CA
It was cheap, first and foremost. It cost us $52 per night, compared to $80+ elsewhere. It was a little run down and didn't look like much from the outside, but the room was clean, the bed was in good shape, it was centrally located and right next to the best breakfast place in town, Morning Glory.
Pretty hard to beat. It was nice to save some money and spend it on other things. We were hardly ever in the room anyway. -

Wow! For the location the price is really great! They've just made loads of improvements - the bathroom is nice. Comfortable beds, bamboo floors - lovely. There weren't enough places to set things - otherwise - NICE

I've stayed at Ashland Motel for 2 weeks each of the last 2 summers. The rooms are newly renovated. Comfortable beds, nice bathroom, mini fridge, coffee pot, microwave.
The proprietors and staff are very nice and will help you whenever needed. The rooms are always cleaned thoroughly. Friends of mine have stayed in more expensive places and gotten worse service and quality of rooms.
2 weird things that have been inconvenient. There is no dresser or closet. Instead there is a wardrobe where you can hang things and stack. Also, there is no room phone, which could be an inconvenience for some. -

other places were booked, so we just gave "the M"/Ashland motel a shot. the couple that runs it is very nice. it definitely looks motel-ish from the outside. we had a standard double, which was more like a large box with a full size (?) bed and shelf. it was a little claustrophobic, seemed clean (but i saw a couple hairs on the sham pillows), looked updated and modern (loved the shower tiles!), and was $77/night.
downtown is about a mile away. crater lake (the reason we were in oregon) is a couple hours.
decent place to stay at if you don't want to spend a lot. -

North Hollywood, CA
We were looking for something cheap and no frills for our 1 night stay, but were pleasantly surprised! This place is adorable! The room was small, but clean, tastefully decorated, and quiet. We were only disappointed that we didn't have more time there. There is a nice pool and they were very nice and helpful at the front desk. We'll go back for sure!

nice touches, modern style. Worth paying a little more than the Rodeway Inn

This motel has not faced the fact that being honest about what they can and cannot offer during booking will only result in problems for their guests. Be careful what you are getting roped into. Ask questions and do not stay if you don't feel good about it because there is not any chance your rights as a consumer will be honored. A hard lesson learned.

Livermore, CA
We have stayed here three times, and found it to be a good value. The family that owns it is as helpful as can be, and are continuing to update, improve and beautify the grounds and rooms. Our bed was very comfortable and it is great to have inroom fridge/stove/microwave.
