Ashland/Addison was a convenient stop for me on the way to see my mom after her surgery so I decided to stop in and pick up something to brighten her spirits. It is located in the same strip mall as EG Bowl and Village Cycle Center.
I walked in and was greeted by one of the florists and mentioned I was looking for them to put something together for a get-well bouquet. I decided on pink and purple flowers in a vase and was pretty pleased with the results. The vase wasn't the most attractive I've seen, but the bouquet had 7-8 different kinds of fresh flowers along with the usual gypsophilia to fill it out.
For ~$50, I ended up with a pretty large, custom arrangement in a vase that mom really liked. Ashland/Addison isn't my go-to florist, but if I need something convenient in EG, it's certainly a good option.

History
Established in 1932
Ashland Addison is a family owned and operated florist, established in 1932 at the corner of Ashland and Addison in Chicago. It started when our grandfather, S. Roy Sheffield, was paid with flowers instead of cash by local flower growers for carting flowers to market. In turn, he made bouquets and sold them for ten to twenty five cents at the corner of Ashland and Addison, then a busy street car intersection.
Roy retired and sold the business to his sons, Bill and John, in January of 1964. The business continued and grew due to Bill and John's efforts to delivery, quality, freshness, value and service to customers, clients, and friends.Then progressed to its third generation, Bill, Sr.'s sons, Bill Jr. and Chris, moved the Lakeview location to 1746 W. Addison St, expanded the business into cyberspace in 1996 at www.ashaddflorist.com several locations in the city and suburbs!
