I've been coming to Asha since the day it opened over a decade ago. So, yah, I have gotten a lotta "work" done here. :) (Not that it's accelerated me into model-dom :) But... with that said, I've had the pure focus facials (yah!), microdermabrasions (woo hoo!), massages (wah-wah..), mani-pedi (super!), and tons of cuts/colors!  I have my fav stylist and colorist who are just plain awesome!

The vibe's up beat and not stuffy. They give you lavender neck warmers, cucumber or lemon water, or tea while you wait. Coupons await you if you're new, want to try a new service, wanna buy a ton of gift cards over the holidays for an extra savings, or you get lucky and your person accepts the coupons.

Too bad you don't win any points for being a loyal customer here. Suggestion to ASHA, Do PRETTY CITY!!

Located in the Streets of Woodfield where it's banked by Legoland, Carson Pirie Scott, Improv, and Starbucks, the location draws a big crowd, especially on the weekend. And well, lots of other shopping and eating... LOTS.. so you can get prettied up AND get your shopping and eating in after!

This is solely based on my experience with the phone operator James- too bad I didn't even go in.

The 3 times I called to find about the microdermabrasion- and the discrepancy on pricing quoted on phone and online- the whole  conversation wasn;t pleasant. Don't snap at me if you are asking me to pay 125$ for 30 mins, and you tell me its not even diamond-tip.

It would be nice to have a patient receptionist, who knows the details of the services offered. Too bad, I would have loved to go here since its so convenient location for me.

My review is based on my spa service. I have not had a service in their salon.

Eh. That about sums it up. I could take it or leave it quite honestly.

Used a Groupon I purchased awhile back. With that I got the foot soak prior to my scheduled massage followed by a mini facial (clean my face then put moisturizer on - that's it).

It wasn't a foot soak - it was a foot dip. Not 10 seconds after I put my feet into a nice big stainless steel bowl of water and some other droplets or something did the tech take them out and dry them off. Uh, okay.

Then came the massage. Not too bad.

Mini facial next. They washed my face then put moisturizer on. I can't get those 15 seconds of my life back so whatever.

Will I try it again? Perhaps if another Groupon becomes available. Would I pay full price for one of their spa services? Probably not.

This place has yet to WOW me, but I had a gift certificate so I went back. I don't think I would every pay full price for their services. Especially their facials - ridiculously overpriced and they don't even do any deep cleaning. I mean, seriously, I could wash and tone my face at home.

Aside from that, I had a body scrub treatment, which was amazing the first time I had it done, and never been the same since. I was expecting a deep exfoliation using a sea salt scrub. I was expecting some roughness, that's what I paid for. But it was just a hum-ho scrub, no harder than I could have scrubbed myself at home and the scrubbing lasted about 10 minutes, maybe less. My skin felt great after, but the next day was not noticeably soft anymore.

I don't know if the techs just all get different training, or some just get lazy but their inconsistency is so bad. I want to like the place, because it's a very nice environment but so far, still 3 stars.

And when I requested Georgette, she was booked until APRIL. Maybe she's the best tech, the person to go with next time.

I went with my mom for her birthday for massages. The massages were nice, but the facility is in need of a update. It's smaller than it looks from the outside. That day the changing rooms were in need of some clean-up. Only one shower in the whole place, so we would have had to wait 15 minutes before we could use it - No thanks. I would go somewhere else next time.

I checked out their services online before I booked my appointment and was pleasantly surprised to see that their basic manicure was only $25. 25bux for a "salon" mani? I'm there! The catch was, it was Friday and I needed the mani done ASAP as I had a party to attend on Sunday.

I called Friday morning and tried to book a mani and pedi and I'm sure I ran the poor gal ragged having her check all possible times to fit me in that same day. She was able to book both treatments but then I decided to just get the mani because of time constraints. Yes, I'm probably a salon bookers worst nightmare--but she was so nice about it, and actually apologized to ME when she couldn't book the appts any earlier in the day like I had hoped.

Beatrice did a wonderful job on my nails. She was very pleasant and friendly and it was fun chatting with her. They offer you a heated neck pillow if you wish and water/tea. My nails turned out fantastic.

The first floor is mainly Aveda products for sale and there's an ATM machine in the corner in case you don't have cash for tips. Upstairs is where the magic happens. It's tidy and sleek, decorated with natural items like stone and bamboo. Despite the action in the hair salon, the place did seem kind of tranquil too. All the staff I encountered were very friendly.

I have been coming to Asha for years now. I cannot say enough about how much I LOVE this place. My family and friends know the only gifts I ever want are gift certificates/cards to Asha.

I usually get my pedicures and manicures here. Vilma is AMAZING! Love her and her work. I've never had a problem getting an appointment for any of the services. They always find a time slot that works for me.

A very long time ago I had some waxing services done and that too was a great experience.

The prices are a little above average but the way I see it, you get what you pay for. They use Aveda products so that's always a plus.

Oh and when calling to make an appointment, usually James answers the phone. He is the nicest guy you will ever speak to....and for as long as I have been coming here, I have never met him. But he's super sweet.

If debating about coming here....my advice is give it a try at least once. It's a great experience.

I had my partial highlights done by Demi, and I am very happy with them.  She was knowledgeable and had good suggestions, so I will use her again in the future.

For my cut, I had Gia, who I was not as impressed with.  She yanked through my wet hair very quickly and roughly without worrying about how much hair she was tearing out.  I was not pleased...I know I was probably her last appointment of the day, but come on!  The cut she gave me was not what I was looking for either, she made 2 blunt layers instead of blending the layers into my very thick hair.  I will definitely pay more to have a more experienced stylist cut my hair next time.

    Love.

Maybe I am a fan of Aveda concept spas after all? Really large salon and spa conveniently located in Streets of Woodfield. I came here for the Premiere Spa Package which included a 60 minute Asha massage, a 60 minute Elemental Facial and an eye treatment. I was greeted with immediacy and enthusiasm in the salon area which is located on the first floor - modern, bright and energetic.

I was directed upstairs to the spa area. Once I checked in with the desk, I walked into the spa area. It's obviously a no cell phone zone and was such a huge contrast to the salon. Dark and warm with appropriate lighting and rich, warm colors for ultimate relaxation. I was directed to a private changing room to disrobe and then offered a choice of waters or tea with light snacks are available while you wait for your services.

One of the best parts of the Aveda spa service is the foot soak beforehand. Just the right thing to prepare you for ultimate relaxation. Georgette performed my massage and gave me a great one - the pressure was perfectly appropriate and the technique was very adept and relaxing. Afterward, I was whisked away to my facial where Pinar took time to ask about my skincare regimen and about any allergies or preferences I had in products. My skin was super clean and hydrated afterward.

Asha also has showers with multiple heads and some yummy Aveda shampoos and body wash products, which I enjoyed after all my services.

One of the best parts is that the guest services give you enough to assist you in your visit but not too much to take away from your privacy.  My only complaint, if you can call it one is that the Legoland Discovery Center is right next door so the ambiance is ruined upon exit.

Nails _ Alize - great vibe.  Good manicure.

Hair _ Adrian _ His work is very good from what I have seen.  One cut means nothing.  Will I love it after I wash my hair?  However, He did listen to my concerns and was on the same page with me.  Very good chemistry.  On the expensive side impromptu haircut.

Overall - I felt that I was in good hands.  Give me a week or so and I will update with the final verdict on the hair.  The nails, I am definitely going back!

I don't know why it took me so long to review... maybe I feel safer doing it now since I don't go there anymore.
I never had a spa treatment there, but I got my hair cut by at least 4 different people.  Every cut was pretty consistent, and I loved walking out looking like, wow, she must have just gotten her hair done at a nice salon!  Unfortunately my favorite stylist left to get a desk job (waaaaaa!!!) and after I tried a couple other stylists that weren't that perfect fit I decided it was time to move on.
One thing I loved was that they staggered all their prices based on the hairstylists' experience, so you can still get a good haircut on a budget (although there is definitely a difference between the experienced and less experienced stylists).  One thing I did NOT love was that you couldn't leave a tip on your credit card!  I feel so uncomfortable trying to surreptitiously stuff money into someone's hand, why can't they just set up their credit card system to do it for me?!

I must say that I am a neophyte when it comes to salons, spa's, and the like...I am the furthest thing from being a "metrosexual," my idea of fun is going to a to a lecture or teach-in, I am not well-off, and finally my idea of a hair cut is one done by the family or Great Clips. (In other words, in my opinion this is still a decadent luxury usually affordable only to the top 1% richest (or those wannabees) and their upper-class ilk who recently got some more nice tax cuts at the expense of all of the rest of us)...

That said, if I was suddenly extremely wealthy and comfortable (and after my family, friends, non-profits and charities were well taken care of) and I still had a lot of disposable income THAN I would visit this place EVERY month!!

I visited here after making a last minute appointment a few hours before.  Even though it was a week later this was still technically a birthday treat for myself (and I made it a date with the wife as well).  Suffice it to say this is thus far the MOST comfortable I have been in quite a while.  I just wanted to get a hair cut.  I called a few hours ahead and told the man answering the phone this and he courteously and efficiently checked the schedule and fit both my wife and I in for appointments 15 minutes apart.  We came into the spacious and stylish salon and spa fit into the myriad of stores in the Streets of Woodfield plaza right next to Legoland ;)

The seating in the waiting area was comforting and the front desk was again polite and very helpful.  We met our stylists who took us in for our pre-haircut shampoo and scalp massage.  Now I do not know about the rest of you but a scalp-massage is my idea of bliss and Summer (I am going to ask for her again ;) was awesome!  The shampoo after along with more scalp massage was just the icing on the cake.  Thereafter, we went over to the stylist Laura's chair while they give you hot hand towels, a hand massage, and a choice of water (cucumber or lemon) or hot tea.  To me, this was the height of decadence, pampering, and selfishness and I was loving it! ;)  Laura discussed what I wanted and gave her own suggestions and then gave me plenty of time to look everything over after to make sure it was up to snuff.  The stylists then even help you put on your coat before leaving!

Again, this is only my second visit to a spa/salon in my life.  I am sure that there are better salons/spas and I dislike the fact that this place did get some very bad reviews (even if most of these seem to me to be a lot of spoiled b**ching typical to reviews of this nature) but nevertheless would people be complaining even if there was nothing wrong?

All in all, I was very satisfied with my entire experience and I would recommend others here unreservedly and I will be coming here again if I can...

Even though I live in the city, I drive all the way to the burbs in Schaumburg to get my hair done at this location. The reason I won't go anywhere else is because Rachel, my colorist, is amazing. Since I returned to Illinois from college in the summer of 07' Rachel has been my hair girl. She really does the best highlights, and being a blonde herself, she knows blondes best. The receptionists and girls who shampoo your hair are also very nice and professional. I highly recommend Asha, and if I'm willing to sit through painstaking traffic on the I-90 to get here, then it must be worth it!

I generally don't like Asha.  They have a very weird vibe and it is just strange to me to see all these ppl standing around trying to look "trendy."
However, I did have a manicure here that lasted over a week, which was a great thing.  I may go back for a manicure, but probably not.

I've come here several times because if I have a bad experience the first time, I like to at least give them one more chance.  Big mistake.  I feel that these "high end" spa/salons that charge twice what the little places charge should do twice as good of a job.  I got waxed here and she showed me the mirror to inspect myself and I told her I saw a lot of little hairs on my eyebrows that should have been easily spotted by her so she tweezed a little and I left and looked in my mirror in my car and it looked like I hadn't even gotten an eyebrow wax, there were so many missed spots.  Left a really bad impression.

My next visit was simply to run in and get my favorite Aveda foundation.  I know exactly where it is and what type I get so I went straight for it when I was accosted by "Brad" who proceeded to tell me how oily my skin was with great disdain and pretty much let the entire floor hear about it.  When he asked another worker across the room if it's true that moisturizing makes the skin less oily, she looked at him with slight embarrassment at how inappropriate he was being and said "no".  I only wanted to buy my foundation and get out but instead I was made to feel horrible and left in tears.

I don't think the staff is very well trained here.  I've gotten two haircuts and a pedicure there as well and left feeling so-so about it.  I could go to SuperCuts and a rinky dink nail salon on any corner and get better service for a lot less.  This place is not representing the Aveda name well at all.

I actually met Nina out in about one night and she mentioned she needed a model for highlights.

I was a little reluctant to go seeing that we just met and I wasn't sure how it would work out.

She has a charming personality which got me into the door and on her chair. She was very out going and personable. She made me feel confident and comfortable her suggestions and recommendations.

I just was so pleased with my hair, and my finish. She did a killer blow dry that lasted three days!

I will be seeing her for a cut, She did mention to me that she will be working at the gold coast late august. I definitely plan on booking my re touch with her.

Lots of Luck Nina you did an excellent job!

I've been here a number of times, and have only made it to the actual service once.  If it wasn't for their vague pricing, f'd up front desk, and refusal to honor their email promotions, I might consider being a regular customer.

My first experience was for their $65 microdermabrasion.  Once there the girl at the front desk informed me that I didn't book a "real" treatment - no comfy robe, warm tea, or zen waiting room action for me.  Luckily, the girl performing the treatment had the perfect mix of expertise and friendliness, making the service worth it.  The next time I booked a hair appointment after a consultation and a quote that my services would start at $50, give or take $20.  I arrived to find that suddenly they started at $110, so I left.  Finally, after receiving an email special for half off all services I booked my sis a cut and highlights.  The excuse this time was the girl booking the appointments made a mistake and those services were not part of the promo.  On top of that they booked everything w/ a top senior stylist.  I talked to a manager, asked for a 20% discount on the services as a courtesy and was told no, so again I left.  Of course, at the time I was promised a gift card that never came.  Irritated with the gift card block, I filed a bait-and-switch complaint with the BBB, and Asha replied that it is impossible to expect front desk staff to be familiar with current promos.  Nice.  So ya, Asha is officially out of my spa rotation.

This review is specifically for buying Aveda products. If you buy Aveda products here, you can't return or exchange unless they put all of your personal information in their system. Is that even legal? It sounded like a threat, and I'm not a big fan of receiving threats. Going to Woodfield Aveda instead.

    Service: Haircut

So, I got a coupon in the mail for $25 off whatever I wanted at Asha. Being curly-haired makes it easy to trim my own and it's been awhile since I've paid to have it done; I like Aveda salons because they try to be more environmentally friendly and their products are typically 98% plant-based, so I opted to give it a shot since I"m on spring break anyhow. :)

The girls running the downstairs shop were nice enough, but upstairs in the salon everyone was super-friendly. There were comfy couches, free little Luna bar samples, magazines, and they offered me tea/coffee/water as soon as I arrived. Aveda tea = delicious and naturally sweet!

But on to the main event; Gia, a student, was in charge of getting my hair washed and ready to go. After a detox shampoo, Be Curly shampoo, Be Curly conditioner, and scalp massage (ALL complimentary and uber-relaxing!), I had to wait a few minutes for my stylist, Angela to be done. Once she was done, we chatted as if I'd known her for years. She really listened to what I wanted and gave me suggestions. I'd asked for someone with curly-hair experience, and she knew exactly what I was talking about. Along with Angela cutting and styling my hair, Gia came back over and gave me a hand massage (yet another perk!) afterwards.

There was no pressure to buy products,  Angela answered all my questions, and the freebies were fabulous. The only drawback is that it can be pricey, but with my coupon it really wasn't bad considering I don't cut my hair often. I HIGHLY recommend Asha for the friendly and knowledgeable staff and inviting atmosphere. :)

I never spent so much money to feel bad about myself. I thought this salon was overly pretentious, and really not al that great. I felt like I was under a microscope and judged for not being a model.

Once I entered the spa, I saw a 3-sectioned dish with dried cranberries, almonds, and apricots. Bluck - no spoon, so people have been digging their grimy fingers in it. Then someone sent me to get a robe in another room. There were a few to "choose" from, and some adidas-soccer-style shoes to put on. You put your stuff in a locker, and go back to the cranberry room.

My facialist came out a few minutes later. Once we went into the room, she told me to sit and soak my feet in a bowl of warm soapy water. Unexpected, but ok. I mean, I understand they don't want people's stinky dirty feet on the massage table sheets. She asked me to take off the robe and get on the table. The table was nicely warmed and there were candles, and some bad music playing.

She came back to the room and did my facial. I didn't feel she exfoliated my cheeks as much as I thought (and she said that she would), but she did a good job of extraction, if the pain was any indication.

She left so I could put the robe back on. She handed me a glass of lime water and back to the changing room to get my real clothes on. Out to the salon for a haircut.

My hairdresser "likes his clients to wear capes" so I waited for him with a cape on. Ok, I'll play along, even with my makeup-less recently-extracted face under harsh lighting. He came out, asked what I wanted, and I told him. I went for a shampoo, and was asked what kind of oil preference I had. Um, none please. Can't you see I have nasty oily hair?

She did a decent scalp massage however. Shampooed and ready for my stylist. He didn't say anything, just snipped away. I was so self-conscious sitting there in silence, all the other people chatting away.

The shampoo girl came back while my hair was being blowdried for my "hand massage". Um, ok? She didn't do a particularly good job, what's the point? Now my hands are greasy and I don't want to handle my purse or freshly cut hair.

Go downstairs to pay. Tip envelopes go in a slot "by the nailpolish". Gee, how specific.

I wouldn't go back. I gave 3 stars because my hair cut is pretty decent, and he did take a lot of weight off the back, even without my having to ask.

EXPERIENCE BASED ON SPA ONLY, I DID NOT GET ANYTHING FROM THE SALON DONE

Normal "expensive" spa/salon vibe...downstairs was calm n ok...upstairs was semi loud and had desk full of people. Walk up to a desk where everyone looks like theyre gossiping up until you reach the desk, you tell them your name, they tell you to sit and wait, no offer of getting you water or tea, it's help yourself (which it shouldn't be for that price). Overall it's nice but not the kind of day spa lounge experience of tranquility until your in the back..seems like your normal annoyingly loud salon.

I wasn't inpressed. The brazialian hurt more then normal, which I get them all the time so I know it wasn't as painless as I'm used to, although the ectetician was kind. I've never had hard wax used on me before but I don't care to have it used again.

And the 90 min massage was great! I just honestly know I've had better. My search for a day spa continues.

Now this review is strictly for the Spa portion of Asha. I havent gotten my hair cut here yet but hopefully that will happen soon since I had such a nice experince at the Spa. It beautiful, serene and clean! While you wait the ladies at the desk are nice and will get you water or magazines. They never offer me anything though, only my mom,not sure why but they are nice to her:)

I have been recently visiting the Spa every couple of weeks to deal with a little issue I have. The issue is I'm getting old and my skin isnt going to stay pretty for ever so my thought is if I keep getting the "new" old skin microdermed off then I will just stay young and wrinkles will never catch up to me. I have been getting the Microdermabrasion done and its great!

The girl that does it is fabulous at her job and fabulously cool too! She uses this nifty lil machine on my face that doesnt really hurt it feels like a cat tongue licking you,a very scratchy dry cat tongue. After the catt ongue machines laps at your face you get a wonderful facial to freshen and cut down on irritation. I have to tell you this is soooo much better then any severe chemical peels or any of that stuff. You face doesnt even hurt and doesnt get all irritated.I am the queen o irritation and skin allergies, so if this doesnt both me it sure wont bother you.Give it a whirl when you have an extra $65 laying around.I think of it as a must, you know just like health insurance its insurance on my face.

I decided to try an additional service of Asha's - eyebrow tinting.  I've wanted to get it done for a while, but not too many places in the burbs do it.

The girl that did mine was nice (Kayln or something).  The die stung my eyes, as she explained, but it hurt worse than I expected.

My eyelashes look great though.  I'm a blonde so having black eyelashes when I wake up is a great thing.

    I would definitely recommend it.

I had a couple of screwed up appts (wrong person scheduled with) but ended up getting $300 in services free for their mistakes and I didn't even ask for it.  Reece was one of the managers and she was very professional about the situation seeing as though it was the day before my wedding she understood I was upset.

I will however RAVE about my massage therapist Georgette!  She is by far the best ASHA has.  The other girl Taylor is awful.  Georgette has been there a long time and trains the other newbies.....

I can't always afford her great services at $80/hr and up but I go to her at least once a month!

Went for my bridal hair & makeup trial. Had Bridgette for makeup & Kelly for hair. Showed them the pictures and they made me look just like the pictures! Bridgette asked me how I normally wear  my makeup and she said she would start out with the basic and we could add from there. There was a mirror right in front of me so I could see what she was doing the whole time and every 10 minutes or so she would tell me to look at myself in a hand mirror and see if I liked it. I felt very comfortable with her!

With Kelly, I showed her the pictures and she also, started out slow and added on. Every step she asked if I would like it this way or that way and she made sure I liked it before she pinned or sprayed. When she was done, I looked like a bride! Kelly took about 10 pictures with my camera and told me to go and print them and to keep looking at them, anything that I didn't like, make sure I tell her the day of the wedding and we would change. She told me how to dry my hair and to use a good amount of mousse so my hair would be the fullest naturally that it could.

I really had a great experience here! And I have been using Aveda products for years, just never thought about going to the salon for my wedding day! So glad I am! The makeup was $60 and the hair was $85, that will be the prices the day fo the wedding also.

I tend to stay away from fancy schmancy salons ever since I had a bad experience at Mario Tricocci years ago. I hear "spa" or "salon" and instantly think of snobsville where only the wealthy are treated with respect. I don't roll like that. I went to Asha because I bought a half price gift certificate and thought I'd give it a go.

They were so welcoming and nice and not "spa-like" at all. I got a neck wrap while waiting for my pedicure to begin- what a nice touch. The girl next to me was offered tea and I wasn't--we'll let that one go. I liked the friendliness of the staff and the nice atmosphere.

I didn't care for the nicely decorated and cushioned bench against the wall on which  all the pedi clients were seated. I prefer the individual chairs. Even the crappy local $25.00 place has nicer chairs with massagers in them. I also though that the girls that did my pedicure was a little chatty. Usually an open book should be a good indicator that the client wants to relax and read instead of engage in a conversation. I don't want to speak too ill of her because she really was nice and she buffed up my finger nails for me as a little bonus.

Over all a nice place to go if you have the money.

Just went in for a microderm today, they are now charging $65 for it!
    Thats a great price!
I thought it was going to be $125 but I was happily surprised!
Oh and I got a hand massage too that must have been part of the microderm package...not bad!
Now I am going back in a few weeks for another one!
I like microderms better than facials, I feel like I can see more of a difference....
I have never gone here for a haircut, massage, facial, mani/ pedi so I cannot comment on any of those services.

I travel a lot for business and tend to get my haircut while on the road. The Aveda sponsored salons tend to me consistent with the quality of service. Staff is professional and friendly.
Beware though each stylist there has different prices for their service. I looked on line and it stated Men's haircuts were $35, my hair cut ended up being $55 due to the fact the person that cut my hair had more experience. Since never going there before I did not choose which person cut my hair, either I was fully satisfied with the service

I had heard good things about this Aveda spa, and was looking forward to treat myself to a night of pampering and relaxation.  I booked a sports massage and a pedicure.  The environment is beautiful; the spa treatments are done upstairs, and the waiting area is serene and beautifully decorated. I was lounging in my complimentary bathrobe, enjoying a glass of lemon water and starting to feel my troubles slipping away.  My masseuse then came and introduced herself and led me to the massage room.  We did the perfunctory introductions and chit chat; and then I tried to zone out after about a polite 10 minutes of this, letting her know that I was stressed and that I usually have a difficult time relaxing unless I completely zone out.  I am a polite person by nature and do love to talk and meet new people; and I normally don't mind answering questions about my business or profession.  However, I was paying a lot of money for this massage and really, really wanted to get something out of it.  My masseuse just would not shut up!  She kept asking me questions about my business and profession and workout schedule, and this, and that, and so on and so on; and I, being polite, did answer the questions but tried to limit the answers and then would get quiet; she did not catch my drift.  I know that I should have just been blunt but I cannot usually bring myself to do that, and thought that I had made myself fairly clear about wanting peace and quiet.  Oh well, did not relax at all; and quite honestly, the massage was not very good either; I specified that I like a very strong touch and I like a massage to get deep into the muscle, and I could handle the pain, so bring it on!  And it was uninspired and too weak.

Moving on to the pedicure:  I thought I could salvage some relaxation from a foot rub and pedicure - this was worse!  The pedicurist (?) had a fairly irritating voice, seemed to hate her job, and bitched about her boyfriend the whole time.  Although I was paying extra for a foot massage, she barely did it.  I was quickly finished, and I have to say it was one of the worst pedicures I've ever had; the Korean nail salon that I go to gives way better pedicures, the polish lasts forever, the technicians are sweethearts, and it's half the price.  Oh well . . . I was quickly whisked away to pay my bill; leaving me $175 lighter and wondering, "is that all there is?"

I still keep hearing people rave, but honestly, I would not waste the money to give it another try.  Two stars for the beautiful decor.

I HIGHLY recommend Asha Schaumburg, my stylist, Susan Ford is a dream come true, I call her the "hair whisperer". I love the fact that the assistants give you a pre-shampoo stress relieving scalp treatment - it feels AWESOME, and the hand treatment while you are getting your hair cut is an added bonus, not something you get at an average salon. I leave looking and feeling GREAT, next time I just have to remember to make the appointment when I can meet up with the girls after! I have had facials and massages/body treatments in their spa as well and have always been pleased. They are a well trained group that really cares about you. The foot soak which is done before each spa service is a relaxing way to start your service, and one which I really enjoy. Their spa has always made me relax, and their salon leaves me feeling HOT :) Go and enjoy, you are in for a treat!!

Went back recently after a long absence.  Since it is the first time, in a long time, I hate to write a fully flattering review just in case it was a fluke.  I know, nevagative attitidue, but I was seriously burned by this place.  I had a mid-day appt, so they were not running late and I was checked in as soon as I walked in.  Therefore, there was no waiting and no water/hot pack, etc.  Although, I'd rather be ontime, than sit around waiting drinking obsene amounts of water.  My tech, Heather, was amazing.  Highly recommended for waxing treatments.  I will go back, only because I liked Heather so much!

A friend gave me a 30% coupon for first-time customers to Asha, and with the expiration date of 5/31, I thought I would give it a shot before the month is over. I scheduled a 60 minute massage and had wonderful Georgette for my masseuse.

This review is not about Georgette, but of the ambiance of Asha and their customer service.

Ambiance/Environment: Totally unimpressed. I've been to a few spas and I would say Asha's spa room is acceptable. However, I didn't like its process. With a counter in the first floor, it's assumed that is the check-in. But the spa is upstairs. No matter. What is disconcerting is that the preconceived notion of a relaxed place is totally thrown off balance when you approach the 2nd level, which houses the waiting area, check-in, nail salon AND an extremely noisy hair salon. Thankfully, I didn't have to wait there for long, as I was led through the Spa frosted entrance to the actual spa room itself. Once itself, I was ushered to the changing room which housed the lockers. It's a good thing the place is not that packed as I have to own the entire room myself to change into a robe and slippers. If it had been more crowded, I can imagine the line that would be forming outside. The massage room itself is lovely, and predictable as most of these are. The nice touch is the foot "bath", and the 600-count sheets. Heavenly.

Customer Service: I have to give the manager props for honoring my 30% new customer discount coupon which is good Mon-Fri. I didn't see that medium-print (my bad totally) and had my massage scheduled on a Saturday instead. BUT, it was the counter chicks who gave me an attitude about it even after I had her ask the manager. Upon getting the OK, she SNATCHED my credit card out of my outstretched hand and proceeded to ring me up. I am so put off by that I doubt I would ever want to return. Do they not realize they are the first line of defense, and that in this competitive industry where coupons are direct mailed from their competition, that stellar customer service along with pricing are their saving grace?

Asha, there's certainly much room for improvement. Best to you.

If there is one thing I will splurge on it is a haircut at Asha by Angela. She is awesome and will always find time to squeeze you in.  I started going to her 2 years ago. I stopped for a while to find a cheaper haircut but only found you get what you pay for and ended going back to Asha because I couldnt find anyone who compared. Prices are high, I wouldnt go there for my color, etc, etc (although I have) The shampoo girls/guys and the reservation peoples are fake and superficial and most of the time rude. I look past that because the cut with Angela is worth it.

Very nice spa, we went on a weeknight and it was very quiet and peaceful. Had a relaxing massage, women who gave it talked a bit too much. Would go back again. Easy parking which is always nice.

Need cash for tips, they can not add to your credit card.

As expensive as pampering yourself is, I truly recommend this place if you're going to do it. I came here for a deep tissue massage and it was one of the best experiences of my entire ..well maybe not of my entire life but it was indefinably very memorable. I got to pick the scent of the oil, I got to sip on flavored water in a robe and slippers while I was waiting, everything was CALM, they have a MAJORLY AWESOME large catalog of services they provide for pretty reasonable prices, so if you get a gift card for someone they can use it on pretty much anything they have over there (and they put it in a neat little box and then wrap it up with this cute plastic stuff and ribbons :) ) I felt like JELLO walking out of there, very very VERY amazing spa.
