I came here for a massage on a Friday late afternoon/early evening. I had a Groupon and there was a small scheduling mistake but I called and it was taken care of immediately. I had a wonderful time. The space is beautiful and the changing area is pristine. After changing into a robe, I sat in a relaxation area and waited, sipping cucumber water. A few minutes later, I met my massage therapist - her name was Allison and she was amazing. She started off by soaking my feet and asked me if there were any trouble areas I wanted her to focus on, and then I laid down on my stomach on the massage table. I highly recommend her; I was pretty stressed out but I was like jello afterwards.

I've been here once before for a haircut which I didn't really like and I was hesitant to come back (I probably wouldn't have been here again if it wasn't for the groupon) but this massage was worth every penny.

I decided to treat myself and get a massage and facial here.

First, I was forced to call the receptionist because I didn't realize I was going to have to locate a parking garage and got turned around, while I was in there.  I ended up arriving about 10 minutes late and was rushed to the locker room by a slightly rude girl.  I told her how sorry I was, but she blew my apology off.  After being rushed to the locker room, I ended up sitting in the waiting room for almost 30 minutes.

The massage was first.  It was alright, but I have had many more pleasurable experiences around the city.  The guy was a bit chatty and all I wanted to do was relax.  Next, came the facial.  My face felt like it was on fire and the girl told me that was normal.  I have had my share of facials and have never experienced a burning/numbing experience before.  What was worse?  I ended up breaking out a few days later.

As I was leaving, I told both receptionists at the front desk to have a nice day, but was ignored.  What a great way to end an awful experience at the spa.

I went here when Asha was still relatively new.  They were having a 50% off deal, and I needed a haircut. While I was waiting, I was offered a drink and a warm neck wrap, so it started off as a great experience.  I'm not the kind of girl who will get upset if my hair is not absolutely perfect, but I do have standards.  At some point during the haircut, I asked my stylist to cut my hair shorter.  She somehow thought this to mean that I only wanted the side which she had not yet cut to be shorter than the other.  Since my hair is always about chin length, an uneven cut is very obvious.  There were random parts of my hair that were strangely longer than the surrounding parts.  Apparently 50% off means that I get a haircut worse than if I did it myself without a mirror.

I haven't tried any other service after I had such a terrible experience.

The services here are great and the price is right if you do one of their specials or get a discount.  I have had a brazilian wax and haircut here.  Both were okay.  They were passable, but nothing stood out about their services.  I wouldn't pay for their services full price.  Definitely recommended, but not at full price.  One big plus was the relaxing pre-spa service time.  I kinda wished it was longer.  They gave you a warm aromatherapy neck wrap.  Their waiting room were really great and I somewhat wish you could just book time there.

You might wonder why I'm updating my review, as Asha continues to earn three stars. Well, I returned for a second massage, and had the most wonderful experience with Lionel, so I think it best to give him public recognition.

I usually shy away from male masseurs for modesty reasons, but I've been converted! While I received my pre-massage foot soak, he asked me about my trouble spots, as is typical. But he actually listened, you see. I told him that I'm on my feet frequently, and as a result my leg muscles are all incredibly tight. He incorporated great stretches into the massage and combined deep tissue with Swedish to truly attack my problem areas. Not only did I leave feeling refreshed, but also more limber.

Now that the 50% promotion is over, I do not see myself returning, because I can't justify the price for what they offer in terms of overall experience. So five stars for Lionel as an individual masseur, but the three stars remain for the spa on the whole, as nothing really elevates it above similar establishments that I've visited.

I came to Asha because I had to use a Spa finder gift certificate. I had the reviews and was a little worried about gettinga pedicure there. I got the chakra pedicure. I honnestly dont understand why all the bad comments. I definitely would probably take advantage of the coupons and promos because they are very expensive ($50 for a pedi only, really??) However, I had a great time. Pat was awesome, she did a great  job and my feet are super duper soft. I will have to see if the polish stays on long enough but as of right I would definitely go back there, especially if there was a good deal...I went mid afternoon during the week and service was good.

I purchased the package deal that expired in January.  I have been to Asha Evanston, in the past, and have received great massages, care of Lionel, and mani/pedis.  I was reluctant to purchase such a large package because I had never received a waxing treatment from their salon.  Using Yelp and other websites, I decided to make the purchase.  With the help of their assistants, I have found my new esthetician, Katie.  She was wonderful.  She wasn't rough and I could tell that she had experience.
Prior to my appointment, I sat in the relaxing waiting room and sipped on water and cucumbers.  Every time I use their facilities, I always promise myself to start drinking more cucumber water!
Overall, my experiences have been wonderful.  I look forward to my next service.

PS - Like many salons, these days, they will not let you tip on a credit card.  Make sure you bring cash for the tip.  I have learned that the hard way, through other salons.

There is a tale of two stories with the Evanston Asha. One story is for the management and the other for the technicians.

I've now given this location of Asha three shots. The last of which was a Groupon, which inspired me to give it a final try after two so-so visits.

Now on to the stories....first, the management/front desk was not very customer-service oriented on my first two visits. The reps seemed more involved with chatting than helping me check in. Also, on my second visit, they failed to notify my esthetician, which caused me to wait 15 minutes. I am happy to report that on my recent visit, the desk reps were friendly, attentive and welcoming.  Hopefully, all of the desk reps demonstrate this same behavior. However, little things like no toilet paper in the bathroom and dirty glasses in the lounge are details that still need work. A spa of this so-called caliber should not have these issues.

The technicians are the bright spot. The big reason I would return is for a massage with Lionel who I would give 4 stars. A huge thanks to the other Yelper who highlighted Lionel. I look for therapeutic massages to really work out my kinks and Lionel excelled.  I do not typically work with male masseuses, however Lionel made me feel very comfortable from the start and any anxiousness I had quickly dissipated. If you're looking for a top notch massage, book a session with Lionel.

I had the most embarrassing and terrible experience working with Asha SalonSpa in Evanston. If you are even remotely considering getting ANY bridal services done at this salon, turn around and run the other direction as fast as you can! I would never, ever recommend this salon to anyone. Save your money for a place that actually appreciates your business!

My bridesmaids and family members were hoping to get hair and makeup done at a salon in Evanston before my wedding later this month. I visited the salon and decided it would be a nice place to spend my wedding day. I booked my hair & make-up trials with the front desk staff. In the mean time, I called and spoke to ERIN three times about getting a small group discount since I have so many girls getting hair & make-up (spending hundreds of dollars there... makeup $60/pp and hair $90+/pp). Erin told me each time that a discount was possible (besides, they offer 30% off to Northwestern students, the least they could do was 10% for my bridal party!) and that she'd contact the "regional manager" and get back to me. Each time she promised she would call me or e-mail me back the next day, but she never did. Well, I showed up for my hair & make-up trial, and of course Erin lied and said she had contacted the regional manager, when she hadn't. She offered me no discount - which is fine I guess? - but the least she could do was get back to me when she said she would. In her exact words, Erin said, "the regional manager was THINKING about offering your bridal party a group discount, but then she decided not to." Like who even says that to the client? It was the icing on my cake. After 30 minutes of embarrassment in front of Asha staff and clients, I had no choice but to leave and go to a different salon in Evanston for my wedding.

The customer service here is pitiful and Erin should be fired. She is a disgrace to the Aveda brand. I have always received warm, welcome and honest help from other Aveda salons, but if Asha SalonSpa in Evanston keeps this up, they will be out of business in no time. Brides, do yourself a favor and steer clear of Aveda! Head over to one of the other lovely salons in Evanston (I am working with Steven Papageorge...great customer service and very accommodating! support local business!) unless you want to remember a horrible experience on your wedding day and be screwed out of your hard-earned money!

So glad I figured out how terrible it would be to deal with Asha BEFORE giving them all the business from my friends and family on my wedding day :)

I came here for a haircut a few times when they had a 50% off deal. The first time, the haircut was pretty good. The second time, I had to go with a different stylist because the first had left, and she apparently though layering meant giving me two distinct layers of hair. She did manage to fix it, but I ended up with shorter hair than I wanted. The third time, I again had to go with a different stylist (they booked me with someone the next price level up without asking; I didn't realise until I got to the register) and had a similar issue with too-short hair that wasn't what I asked for. It certainly wasn't worth full price, so I won't be back.

I've been to a spa or two in my day, and I've had a wax or two in my day. This is not the place to head for an enjoyable experience in either regard. I went in yesterday for a wax because egea was booked, and had one of the most painful experiences in my [waxing] life.

Maybe I'm being picky, but the gal withheld any signs of polite manners/ sensitivity in regards to this wax and handling of me as her customer. On another note, I'm used to the pain associated with this spa treatment and this was the worst  experience i've had in years.  She was slow, so the wax seemed to go on forever, and she was definitely applying the wax in the wrong direction, so it will be interesting to see what happens in the coming weeks.  lovely detail, i know...sorry.

I wouldn't considering going back there ever, not even for a last minute apt.  the wax was $65 and this is nearly the same price as Bliss and Egea which are worlds better.

I think this outpost of Asha is really great.

I have received a facial, manicure and hair cut in Evanston through the 50% off promotion, and I have been happy with the services.

PRO - Love my cuts from Corrinne and will continue to go back to her. She is great with my curly hair.

CON - My manicure didn't last like I expected - the paint simply peeled off. It seemed as though the coats were too thick.

PRO - Facial was great - not a high pressured sales pitch for products like in some spas.

CON - they don't allow tips to be included in credit card payment. You must pay cash for tips. I hate it and don't see why their system can't be updated. The ATM on the premises wasn't working when I was last there, so I literally had to write a check to my stylest for her tip.

Overall, a very good Asha location.

I just paid $75 to have someone rub lotion all over my body.  And that was with a 50% discount.

That damn discount keeps me coming back, but now I'm over it.  2 pedicures, one wax, and two massages later... I'm moving on.  From a nail care standpoint, they really are probably the best non-Asian option in Evanston.  I mean, what can you really expect when your nail care technician speaks perfect English??  It's been good enough so far.  And so was the wax.

My latest massage on the other hand... not so much.  First of all, I didn't know that the pre-massage foot bath is calculated into the massage minutes.  My first time getting my feet washed pre-rub down was pretty amazing - I thought it was a total game changer.  Now that I know it's cutting into my rub time... forget it.  Listen, my feet are pretty damn clean.  I don't need to sit in a wading pool if it means less massage time.

And I thought that my first masseuse from last time was pretty damn good.  Too bad she doesn't work there anymore.  Now there's homechick who :: 1) whispers when she talks... not in a "let's try to be quiet in this aveda sanctuary" way, but more in a "i'm really timid and probably talk this way all the time" sort of way, and 2) does NOT know what a deep tissue massage is.  I guess the timid voice should have tipped me off... she's the most timid masseuse!  Plus, aren't you supposed to ask every now and then, "How's the pressure?  Is this okay?".  Nope.  Not this girl.  Instead, I had to ask for more pressure... and after three times, I just gave up.  Maybe that wipe-on/wipe-off technique was her attempt at deep tissue.  Seriously.  I just paid $75 to have lotion rubbed on me.  And now I'm all riled up and undoing all the calming effects my faux-deep tissue was supposed to have on me.

    Merrrrr.....

This place is....eh. I had high hopes, because I love Aveda products, and have been to some amazing Aveda salons. Most of my experience comes from this last year, using my 50% off visits. Now that that promotion is over, I'm not sure I'll keep going back. Here is my rundown:

NO-CHIP MANICURE: The first time I went, I got it done by an African-American woman whose name I can't remember. She did a terrible job. She tugged at my cuticles so hard that I ended up with hangnails on pretty much each finger. The edges of the polish were sloppy. The polish wasn't smooth, so that it peeled after only one week.
The last two times I've gone, I went to Antoniya, who did an AMAZING job. She is very friendly, fast, and my nails looked great and lasted 3.5 weeks! I'll probably still come back to her for my no-chip manis, but only for special occasions, as they are $40.

CUT/COLOR: I get a no-frills trim every couple of months, so nothing to report there. Lesley does a pretty good job cutting my bangs. The color, however, left a lot to be desired. I went in three times this summer to get all over red. I've had my hair dyed red before, and I naturally have red undertones to begin with, but for some reason, the dye she used just did not hold at all. It faded within a week. With my 50% discount, the price was $55- there is no way in the world I would pay $110 for that!! Lesley is super, super nice, but she is VERY rough while shampooing and combing my hair.

CUSTOMER SERVICE: I really don't like dealing with the girls at the front desk all that much. Pretty much every time i go, they talk among themselves and ignore me. I was seeing one stylist for haircuts for a few months using the 50% discount, but she decided to discontinue doing that. When I called to make my next appointment with her, I specifically asked the front desk if she was still doing the discount, and they said yes. When I came for my appointment and went to pay, they informed me that she wasn't. I was pretty pissed, because, as I mentioned above, I really only get my hair/bangs trimmed, and ended up having to pay $50 for that. Had I known she wasn't doing the discount, I would have gone elsewhere and paid way less. No one even apologized for the mix-up. That left a pretty bad taste in my mouth.

Overall, the prices are just too steep for what the services actually end up being. I can't see myself going back unless they run cheap promotions again.

I had a massage only when I went here, so I can't speak on their other services.  I purchased the Groupon and ended up with an hour full-body massage. I didn't know it was full body but I probably just failed to read the details of my Groupon.  They had an entirely different website dedicated to booking Groupon appointments, but for me at least, it was very organized.  Their cancellation/rescheduling policy seemed kind of cumbersome though, but I didn't actually experience it.

Onto my actual salon experience. The layout of the place was very nice, as I expected.  The women at the front desk were very friendly.  My massage therapist (Emily) was amazing!  One of the best massages I've gotten!  Some people harp on Groupon because it doesn't result in return customers, but I'm definitely coming back.  It was a great, relaxing experience.

Awful customer service!  They are chronically late for services and would even cancel appointments without trying to accommodate their customer.
Like they say, you get what you pay for and this salon definitely matches its 50% promo with the subpar service that you'll get.  A big BOO!  goes to Erin, salon manager, for her incompetence in customer relations and salon management!

This is my second review of Asha Salon in Evanston. The initial experience was very positive during the grand opening, the place employed seasoned people who did a great job. This coupled with 50% off promotion  was a great deal.

So, I purchased series almost for every service the salon was offering and enjoyed great service until the salon started loosing  people.

The turnover is very high and almost everyone I got to know and appreciate is no longer there.

There are some good people left for hair service and message.

However, for nails, its impossible to get decent service done. The last 3 times I got the manicure,  it was complete waist of my  time and money.

When it comes to waxing, you really need to make sure you are getting seasoned person, otherwise you might as well go to Pivot Point across the street and get service from students if you are trying to stay on the budget.

The idea of the promotion was a great one, but Asha is having a difficult time delivering as technicians are not happy about the deep discount they have to  give away and customers like me and my friends are not happy as at the end we are not getting a consistent service.

The front desk tries to do their best to accommodate requests and complaints, but unfortunately, there is so much they can do to help as its hard to get a qualified person to perform the service. Also, the level of experience at the front desk varies, make sure you talk to someone who has been there awhile to get the right information.

If you are planning to buy packages/ series, make sure to ask questions. When I purchased 6 series for hair color, I was under the impression that I was getting all over color because this is the name of the service on the brochure. It turns out, the service is only for the roots even though the title of the service is 'all over color.' You have to pay extra to color the entire length of hair which makes the total cost of service on par with other salons that do not offer the same discount.

So, do your homework before booking the service to make sure your expectations are met.

    About the Salon:
It's beautiful, soothing and welcoming. The staff are friendly and helpful from the moment you walk. The best part is that while you're waiting they give you a heated neck pillow to help you de-stress and offer you a cup of tea or a glass of cucumber-infused ice water -- I thought this was a very nice touch and a pleasant surprise.

    About the Hair Cut/Style:
If you're going in for a cut and style, Celeste is the person you have to go see. She's pleasant, friendly, works quickly and produces amazing results! I came in unsure of what I wanted and she worked with me to find a cut/style that would suit my face shape and hair texture. I walked in feeling ok and walked out feeling like a million bucks. I loved the entire experience and am ecstatic about how my hair looks. Best hair cut I've ever had, hands down.

If you're looking for a new salon -- that produces great results for a reasonable price -- look no further than Asha Salon & Spa in Evanston. Oh and make sure you ask for Celeste.

I was thrilled to hear that Asha was headed to Evanston!

I am a long time Aveda user (I actually worked in a store when I lived in Dallas) and was looking for a one stop shop for my beauty needs.

The scheduling process was easy over the phone and I LOVED my manicure, pedicure, facial, and blowout.

    My quibbles are minor....

The spa waiting area is so dark that I struggled to read my magazine and I wish there were more stylist options for African America clients. While my stylist, Tracy, did a solid job,  the schedule did not allow her adequate time for my unique needs.

I've been back once already and with  everything 50% off through this month (and the price locked in until March), I will definitely make Asha my go-to place.

Been twice and am very happy.

I got a facial with Mimi which i LOVED.  She was running a little late, so she threw in an eyebrow wax.  She was amazing and wonderful and calming. . . but she was just filling in from another salon.  URGH.  I was hoping to find someone to see a few more times before I get married, so I'm hoping the person I have an appointment with next is just as good.

Someone did walk into the room and turn the lights on for a moment while I was having my facial, and that was a little jarring. . . it was clearly a mistake, and I'm happy to chalk it up to new salon stuff, but I'd hope that kinda stuff is avoidable.

I got my haircut today with Jenna and L O V E it.  She was funny and talkative and my hair looks great.  I came in to take advantage of the 50% off, and am happy I did.  I'm looking forward to seeing her again, soon.

I would love to give 5 stars, but the few annoyances I've had, added to the fact that a few of the front desk people seem really uninterested, means 4 for now.  But I'll be back!

This salon/spa is beautiful.  I was a little confused at the entrance (you enter on the lower level and have to take the elevator up, but there was seating and such down there so I wasn't sure if I was supposed to wait or what). Once I checked in at the front desk, I was seated with a warm neck wrap and offered a hand massage. My hair stylist/colorist; Roxie was amazing! I wanted full highlights and told her I like the highlights that I currently had that were growing out. She gave me some suggestions and I informed her to do what she thought was best. She was very friendly and easy to talk to. Once the highlights were done. She washed my hair and proceed to dry it and style it. I loved this because at other high end salons I've been to, if you're only getting color, you're left to dry and style your hair yourself.  Everything turned out great!

I came here because I got an email about their opening and they were offering 50% off any service. There price list for highlights online offers 3(I think) different prices based on the experience of the person doing your hair. So if you're looking to stay within a certain price range, when making your appt ask about this. Also, they can't put the tip on a credit card. So make sure you have CASH!

All in all, it is a great salon and I had a great experience. I will definitely be back!

Beware ASHA in Evanston if you value your own hard-earned cash. They don't seem to have much regard for prices and twice quoted me a price that was lower than what was later demanded.  The first time I booked a haircut and specifically asked about price.  When I had to re-schedule that appointment I did not remember to ask if the new stylist was at the same price level as the one for first appointment -- well, no, it turned out the second stylist was $20 higher than the one for the first appointment, but no one bothered to mention that fact.  When I went to pay at the end of the appointment I was greeted with an "oh well" attitude by the front desk person, like the amount of money shouldn't really matter.
The second time, the stylist quoted a price for color and I booked the appointment based on that price.  When I called the day before the appointment to confirm the quoted price I was told - "oh no, the price for that service is $115" -- a cool $40 higher than the stylist had advised!  When I told the woman on the phone that the stylist had quoted a much lower price she told me that I must be mistaken about the type of color service that had been discussed.  No.  She didn't even bother to say she could check with the stylist.  Thankfully I called to confirm price and was able to avoid the embarassment of having to wrangle at the front desk by just cancelling the appointment.
Avoid ASHA unless you're spending someone else's money, not your own.

Fabulous promotional deals right now - 50% off, how could you go wrong?

I've had two massages - both Asha Signature, but very different techniques based on the massage therapist.  I came out relaxed from both and purchased the package of 6 so I can go back monthly for a while.

main/pedi was very good - my feet stayed soft way beyond what they normally do!  My only complaint is the lack of polish choices, they have a very limited selection.  I might bring my own next time.

eyebrow wax has been my only bad experience.  I was left in the waiting room for 15 min and had to go ask about the status of my appointment - apparently she was running late.  I'm OK with that as long as someone comes back and tells me what's going on.  I think she did a great job, but I broke out something terrible from the wax, so I won't be able to go back for that.  Boo!

The front desk staff could be a little bit more friendly and attentive.  I feel like every time I walk in there they are all buzzing around - not exactly how you want to start your spa experience.  Oh and be sure to take CASH FOR TIP as they will not add to your bill.

Quick and Dirty: Over-priced hair cuts with less than superior results.  I had a basic trim/layers cut which would have been over $60.  I understand that's pretty typical in this area but the cut was uneven and ended up making me look mullet-ish.  I had to have the cut re-done only a few weeks later because I couldn't stand it... but not here.  I won't be going back to Asha for any services.

Yay!  I'm the first to review!

I went for an afternoon of pampering last Friday since Asha was offering 50% off all services until the end of November.  Overall, the experience was good, but I felt that my facial was rushed or just something was missing.  I was maybe a little late from my pedicure, but I have gotten the same facial at the Aveda Institute and it was much longer.

I loved my mani/pedi with Katie.  She was so personable and we had a great conversation.  They also give an awesome scalp massage before you are shampooed.  My hair has never been so soft before.

I wish I could go more to Asha, but it is quite pricey.  I hope they have specials like their other locations.

I'm a fan of this place.

I got my hair cut chopped off last week. and there was that 50% deal so I took advantage of it. If it weren't for that, I'm not sure I'd go back, just because I can't justify paying 60-70$$ for a haircut. The place was clean, the people are extremely nice. They gave me and friend a hot neck pillow thing as we were waiting. It was very comfortable. I really liked my stylist, although since they were a little short staffed, I had to wait a little longer.

Overall experience, it was good :) I would like to try to come back fro a Mani\Pedi or something other than a hair cut. I really like the place though.

    Money well spent.

I used to love to go to Asha for hair services at their Gold Coast and Bucktown locations. I loved it for the atmosphere, mostly natural products and professional service. For some reason the last two times I've gone I've had very unsatisfactory experiences. Last year I got my hair dyed and left the salon to find a good amount of hair dye stuck behind my ear and neck. Despite that, I saw that Asha in Evanston offered 50% all services and decided to try this location for a change. I found the atmosphere to be very awkward and uncomfortable; the seating area is in a hallway. I also had to wait an extra 20 minutes even after I came in 10 minutes early. When I finally met my hair dresser, he was unable to find the color that I have been using (even after I made sure when I made the appointment that they use the color that is stored), so now I not only had to trust him that he would create another great color but I had to wait another 15-20 minutes for him to make it. I wish they would have told me that while I was waiting prior! I spent most of the time with the intern who had no idea how to wash or blow dry my hair. He was ready to take off my apron after he had styled my bangs to stick straight up! I had to pay for that and tip them both even though they barely said a word to me and didn't bother to ask how I liked my hair color.

I didn't like my hair color.

What happened Asha? I used to love going to your salon. Ah well. Guess it's back to the drawing board.

I really really wanted to like this salon but I'm kind of bummed. Others had said great things about Celeste, but I was disappointed. She was kind of cold toward me and gave me a haircut that was hard to upkeep - it looks like shit unless it's professionally blown-out...and seriously, who has the time to get a pro blowout each morning? Not to mention she actually burned me when she was blow drying my hair. I still have the little patch of burnt skin on the left side of my face. I'm definitely not spending this much money again here for this. Oh- and they told me one price and then charged me higher. Boo.

I've gotten several services done and each was a different experience. Massage:  nothing special, would not go back for that service.  Wax: Technician Rachel, was ok I will keep searching.  Nails: Katie has given me a manicure and a no chip mani and she is AMAZING! She is so diligent and does a great job.  She's nice and gives me the best manicures I've ever had.  She is the reason I keep coming back because to tell you the truth the front desk girls are rude and snooty and frankly deserve a course in good customer service because bad attitude is not kosher in the service field.

They  have a really great deal going on right now. 50% off all services.
When I called to make an appointment for partial highlights (its been 6 months and my hair seriously needed some root control), the desk associate was seriously helpful. I told her I needed a weekday evening somewhat soon (a girls gotta work), and she said she had no availability in the near future but would call me back after more inquiry.
An hour later, the phone rang. BINGO.
I had an appointment within the next 5 days.
    ..................................5 days later............................................. ..
I arrived to my appointment promptly and was promptly serviced. I was offered tea or water twice. My colorist was easy to talk to and listened to my thoughts. He had some great tips on how to prevent color fade.
I was not happy with the finish of my hair style, but its pretty 50/50 if I I'm going to like it...considering the difficulty of my thick hair wavy hair.
For those on a budget: ask what type of stylist you are being appointed to. The prices vary greatly from new stylists to "directors". I was given a director without ever being told so (but then again, I never asked).
So if you're looking for a certain price point make sure you are getting what you want.

Well I had the day off and a last minute urge to get a massage! It was much needed, and I remembered that Asha-Evanston was offering their promo, so I made an appointment to come in. The phone receptionist and front desk girls were more than accommodating and sweet.  The salon itself is AMAZING - they have every detail down to make sure you are pampered in every way :) And then of course the cake topper, my hour long massage was one of the best I've ever had.  I highly recommend the techinician named C.J. for any massage - she had just the right amount of pressure, and fun to chat with.  Can't wait to go back!

I have since had another massage here (with a different therapist) and it was wonderful. I have also had waxing done here and am very pleased. I am incredibly picky about my waxing too. I've also tried the manicures and had a fantastic experience.
Very relaxing space, accommodating staff and all in all a great place to be pampered.

Aside from some misleading advertising on discounts, our experience was pretty good. My wife and I did a couples' massage, and the masseuses were very good. Ask for Julie when you go. When we made an appointment online, the staff was responsive to our request.

Good place overall to go for some pampering, especially if there is a promotion. Tips are cash only!

Is it possible to be completely enamored with the lady that does your bikini wax?  I think so!  Honestly, I don't think the words 'Brazilian' will ever sound comforting or peaceful or relaxing, but Mimi, the awesome esthetician who did mine, actually made it so.  She made an otherwise awkward and painful process pretty much pain-free.  For Brazilian newbies out there, imagine circus-like contortion and strange positions and a complete stranger 2" from your nether regions - but like a real pro, Mimi was professional, warm, and got the job done, and done well.  She has a very soothing manner about her and I totally felt comfortable with her the minute I met her.  Go see Mimi!  She is amazing and the reason I'll be frequenting this spa in the future.

50% off any service- ok you got me! I went had an eyebrow waxing with Suelee (not sure of the smelling), but she did a great job and even answered some questions I had about my flaking skin. She also didn't push products on me at all, but I did buy the Asha Botanical Kinetics exfoliant and damn, that is good stuff. I also had a massage with Frank who was amazing. He not only has a caring demenour, but he let me know what joints specifically were bothering me so that I could let my PT know. I also love that they have XXL robes for us curvy women. I HATE going to a spa and not being comfrotable in the robes the provide, but I was good. The only negative is that tips are cash only, which I really wish they would mention when you make the appointment. It is in the confirm email, but I of course didn't read it. Anyhow, really glad to find such a wonderful spa near my home!
