Like a previous Yelper said, this store is one of the last of its kind. An old-school appliance repair shop. And it's been there for YEARS.
Basically, you can take them your broken stuff, and get it back not broken. Working.
Too basic?
They make keys and sell appliances, but they fix vacuums and toasters and blenders and many, MANY other things. They can repair things you were ready to replace, put a dimmer on or rewire a lamp, and they can do it with the quickness.
Their services are affordable, and they're really, truly, kind and decent folks that aren't out to scam you. They're the only people doing what they do downtown, and I highly recommend them. -

I love this place. Not only do I take anything that is broken to Asef's, and get keys made here, but I try to hang around and chat with Asef for a while. He's seen a lot and always has insightful thoughts about how I should raise my kids and fix various problems in my life. Free friendly therapy!
This is a great place to feel like you are really part of the community. -

We have had a string of bad-to-mediocre experiences here. I want to like this place and give it more stars, because this is just the type of place we need to have around and it's right downtown. It also has a bunch of old and new light pieces, vacuum-cleaners, etc.
However, they messed up my watch battery, not telling me that they put in the wrong battery that did not fit right and which they therefore taped in (all of which I later found out when I went to a different place), constantly causing problems and making me think that something was wrong with my watch.
Then, they said they could fix our old Electrolux vacuum cleaner, but took weeks and achieved nothing aside from more promises that it would be done soon, eventually telling us that they could not, or would not, fix it. We eventually were able to work out a deal to buy another one of the same model that they had but it was tough and like pulling teeth, a stressful, unpleasant experience. They had also failed to properly fix the power head and eventually we were able to go somewhere else and get the pieces to fix it ourselves. We used to get our vacuum fixed at another place on Hwy 12 near Mission Ace Hardware, but it closed some years ago, unfortunately.
We will never go here again if we can avoid it. I am tempted to give this place one star, but that may be just a tad too harsh. -

One of the last of the breed: an actual appliance repair shop right in the downtown.
Seriously, they actually fix the stuff most people just pitch out -- lamps, vacuums, blenders, etc.
And bonus...they make keys.
It may be odd, but these two guys are a treasure and there won't be anyone to replace them when they're gone. Plus, they're absolutely the nicest guys in the world and hilarious as well. -

Asef knows how to make a good key copy but they don't seem to have much more in here that interests me. Lots of used lamps and vacuum cleaners.
