I've now used Ascent's services twice. The first time I had a number of trees that needed pruning and care as well as a stump removal. The first job was time sensitive as another contractor could not do his work without the stump removal. The second job was an emergency blow down. An old cherry tree blew over in a storm and landed (thankfully not on anyone's home or body) on a shed in my backyard.
Franklin was my main point of contact for both jobs. He was friendly, professional and fast. Both times he gave me a time range for when the job could be done and both times he and his crew completed the job BEFORE the deadline he promised. During the emergency blow over, Franklin went immediately to inspect the tree for safety even though he did not have time to actually remove it. That way I would know if the job could wait until he was available or if I would need to find another arborist. He warned me that there could be some damage to the shed and was very honest and up front about what the impact might be.
Franklin's crew called me once the job was done, immediately emailed me an invoice for less than the estimated amount (!!!) and Franklin allowed me to negotitate a payment plan. I will use these guys EVERY time I need an arborist and in Portland that will be often. -

History
Established in 1997
As a part-time job in Eugene Franklin worked with Leif's Tree Service. Stephen was my co-worker. After graduating from University of Oregon I managed to get Stephen to move to Portland and start our own business. Franklin has been a rock climber for many years and this was an easy career move. Stephen has been in the tree business for 30 years. Portland has been a great place and we have grown to have a few crews.
