wow. cheese fries. wow.
After leaving a local bar we were told there were some awesome cheese fries to be had someplace very local. After walking a few blocks we came apon the Asbury Pizza Pie Comany. Being a new yorker I was not really interested in their pizza since I have already had my fair share of all types of pizza. Waiting for my cheese fries I noticed there was tons of fresh bread on the counter across from me.. which I liked. This place felt comfortable and family oriented. If I was a local I would definetly be a regular patron of the establishment... especially for the cheese fries. After reading so many reviews and realizng that the pizza is even good when its bad I need to have myself a slice the next time I am down in Asbury Park. Even writing this review leaves me with a need and want for that dripping cheese sauce and waffle fries..... ugh. -

In Asbury Park, there's an unsuspectingly delicious pizza place. Local, fresh and made to order, the Asbury Pie Company dishes out dough that can satisfy late night drunk hunger while still being the number one choice to order pizza locally during the day time.
The best part is that you can order personal pizzas perfect for one person, in any of their varieties, or design your own, which will be made fresh and served piping hot in a timely fashion. The buffalo chicken is exactly what it should be: buffalo sauce (no marinara), breaded chicken and bleu cheese. For my friend, who is vegan, they piled a good amount of fresh veggies on a cheeseless pie. He ate the entire thing!
The people who own the place are amazingly friendly and welcoming, not minding a bit that we hung there and chatted till closing.Listed in: The New Jersey List, Asbury Park Happenings

Asbury Pie was so much better than I was expecting! I first tried it on a cold and rainy night last winter, and it has been my Sunday night staple ever since. I really enjoy the pizza, and their shrimp parm dinner is surprisingly awesome! Their prices are super reasonable, and on top of that they have a friendly staff and excellent service.
And if you like partying on Cookman on a Friday or Saturday night, fear not, they are open until 2:30am to soak up some of that booze! -

Good pizza, great employees, fair prices.
Pizza is like sex, even when it's bad... it's still pretty good. -

This place is by far the best thing about Asbury Park.
While in town this weekend I feasted on garlic knots and a ricotta and spinach pizza. The service was fast and friendly and the food was great. The ingredients were fresh and the pizzas were really well made.
I did not enjoy my trip to this town and I hope to not have to go back but if I do...I will order pizza.Listed in: The Out of Towner

I went in here with a friend of mine and since I didn't have much money on me, I opted for the cheese fries. Expecting the typical cheese fries I didn't think much of it until I saw them. Out came a plate of fries swimming in a sea of cheese. Could they be as good as they look? one bite and I was hooked. They make their own cheese sauce for these fries with cheese, butter, and cream. fattening=yes but oh so worth every calorie you put into your mouth.
I have yet to try much of their menu but the calzones are top notch(don't let the "small" fool you...you'll be eating leftovers for days) and they bake their own amazing breads(the cheese bread mmmm) My friends had their pizza and said that it was very good though I have yet to try a slice.
On top of all of this, they are super nice and friendly in there. -

Standard but tasty pizza that is open late, which is a big bonus, considering the location is roughly equidistant from a number of Asbury bars. I wouldn't recommend eating in the pizzeria because it's always empty and thus uncomfortable, but for take-out, it's a solid pick.

Hands down the worst meatball parm sub we've ever eaten. Kudos, however, on the prompt delivery. It arrived in half the quoted time. Why then was it cold? Congratulations are in order for the cook.....you have succeeded at concocting a marinara recipe that makes ragu seem gourmet by comparison. In short we received a $20 pile of garbage. Do not eat here.......

Hate to counteract all the rave reviews here, but this place is terrible from top to bottom. The wait staff ignored us for 15 minutes, then when we would finally flag someone down they would start to take our order and then suddenly walk away to bus other customers plates or accept their money, even though they had not been waiting at all. I actually heard her apologize to other customers that had not been inconvenienced, several of these times she did not actually come back to me, and I had to flag her again.
So 20 minutes later we'd finally managed to order and they burned our food and had to start over. We ate, everything was strictly meh and then got up to pay, which was no less difficult than ordering and took another 15 minutes.
On observation, the staff were mostly running back and forth in a frenzy but never completing any task they started, it was kind of astonishing to watch.
At one point the woman on staff actually said to me "its crazy in here today! and you should see it a 3am!" I looked to my left at the one customer and to my right at the 2 other customers, I mean, the place was almost empty, and said, "well...uh, ok." I mean what do you say to that? "Lady the only thing crazy to me is that you have any customers at all." -

We weren't sure what to order so the server suggested the cheese fries and they were fabulous. I also ordered the mozzeralla sticks and later learned they were homemade. They were huge and delicious. Portions were large but everything was still good the next day.

Great place, friendly owners, excellent food. All around amazing. My girlfriend and I stopped in on a Tuesday afternoon after spending the day at the beach. We got two chicken parm slices and garlic knots and never before have we had anything as tasteful as this! We will be returning next time we are in Asbury Park.
