This place is fabulous! First of all, hands down best experience receiving Botox from this medi-spa. They didn't try to sell more Botox than what was necessary, in fact they even put in less than I requested. I didn't quite believe her, so I went back two weeks later to have her check to see if more was needed, and she was completely honest and said that my results were looking good, and I didn't need any more. In past experiences, offices have ALWAYS tried to sell more units than I need, in areas that weren't even a concern to me. I felt like Asava listened to what results I was looking for in the procedure, and never tried to convince me that I need "more". Very refreshing to feel like I am not just being sold more product to increase their bottom line, and that my needs are being addressed.
I've also had microdermabrasion and a pumpkin enzyme peel at Asava, and again it was by far my best facial ever, and I normally LOVE going to fancy spas, but this place beat them all! The Russian lady that did my facial gave me all sorts of home remedies for keeping my skin youthful and healthy. She did so many different masks, lotions, this weird electrical impulse thing, and explained all the benefits of each. She even mashed fresh strawberries and smeared that on my face as well! Again, I felt like she listened to my skin care needs and addressed what I can do at home. The best part was she recommended many products that don't cost 100's of dollars, and that I can pick up at a drugstore.
Seriously, I am so glad that I have found a place that I can trust to do my Botox, where I don't feel skeptical if I am getting what I pay for. I will skip the facials at the fancy spas, and get all of my facials here! -

I got a series of 4 Velashape treatments for something like $199 bucks on Groupon, it was kinda awesome. I really like this place.
The lady that works at the front is adorable--kinda like a real life version of the cute older woman from "Legally Blonde". The woman who did my treatments was am AWESOME Russian lady whose maybe in her fifties.
So for velashape--if your getting your bo-and-thigh parts done mean you are bottomless with a towel, but the awesome Russian lady doesn't make you feel weird at all. She's very straightforward and SO hilarious.
The machine itself is like a vacuum/warm massage roller, I bruise pretty easily and the first two times it hurt a little bit and sometimes a LOT, but you tell her and she'll say "Why didn't you tell me? I don't want to kill you!" It's awesome in a Russian accent.
While she rolls/massages, she'll give you general health advice--try not to eat carbs for a month, walk everyday, etc to see maximum results. I am lazy and have not done any of these things, but I keep telling her I will try. After it's done (it takes about 15 minutes total for me) you'll have some redness and maybe a bruise--if that's what your bod does. But that's about it. And to be honest, I do see a difference after a few treatments. I wish they'd run another special so she could do like my entire body, but until then--yeah. -

I love going to Asava! In fact, I love it so much I drive all the way from San Diego to go for my treatments. A friend recommended Asava to me and I also took advantage of the $59 signature facial for first time clients. Hands down, Irina is the best esthetician I have encountered. There is no messing around with this Russian. I love her accent. She is straight to business and relaxing at the same time. She tells you what she is doing and why, and also gives you tips and recommendations for your skin. No other esthetician that I have experience has ever put that much thought and care for a client. If my mom didn't live in the Bay Area, I would send her to Irina too.
The staff is always very friendly. They get an A+ for customer service, which is very important to me. If I had more time, I would definitely come back for some of their other treatments, such as massages and waxing as well. The prices are very reasonable within my limited budget since I just finished school.
So, if you're looking to get away but can't right now, head over to Asava in the OC to wind down and relax. It's great for those who live in OC and worth the travel is you are coming from San Diego or Los Angeles. -

Asava is a great local spa where I like to go when I can't take a vacation, but could use a little down time to relax. It's really easy to get to too right off of the 5 freeway.
I love coming here for facials. I was drawn in by their $59 signature facial special for first time clients and now I'm hooked! Irina is the esthetician there and does an amazing job. She's straight up from Russia so she gets down to business, but at the same time she makes sure you're very comfortable. She explains every step to you and gives you tips on how to maintain your skin. My favorite part is when she rubs cold strawberries on your face... it smells like you're lying in a pasture of berries!
I've also had laser hair removal done on my underarms there and the service has been excellent. It's really not a painful treatment and I'm a scaredy cat when it comes to pain. Soo nice to not have to shave!
Every time I've been there, the staff has been very courteous and friendly. Plus the prices for their services are very reasonable. To top it off, there's a tasty frozen yogurt place a few doors down for a cold treat afterwards! -

Do not go here. I think the lady who performs the laser hair removal treatments is not licensed. I have done treatments for years and this place is the worst. Painful and unsuccessful. A waste of money and left my skin irritated for weeks. I called them with questions and the staff was not helpful. Terrible experience.

The best spa I ever been to,staff are friendly,knowledgeble. I had fraxel treatment for sunspot last week,its only been five days and I can see the result right away,its amaxing!!!

Asava Medi Spa was really great. They have made a lot of positive changes and their service is really excellent. I got the facial and massage package for a great deal. My skin was looking very radiant and my body felt really relaxed after all the tension I go through. The staff was very helpful, and I also am getting my laser hair removal done here currently. The laser hair removal is very painless and I am really happy with the results each time. I would definitely receommend Asava medi spa to anyone who wants great medi spa services at a great price.

This place is awesome! Irina is the BEST. I drive up from Carlsbad, and this place is definitely worth it. Irina is extremely well educated and taught me much more than just doing the treatment. Great place.
