I'm not prone to writing reviews for restaurants, but feel an obligation after my dining experience here yesterday.
All that needs to be said is that the Costilla de la Carne was one of the best steaks I have had. Ever. Period. I recommend it with the Poblano Polenta.
That is all. -

This is one of my favorite all time places. I go there for drinks, appetizers as well as fully coursed meals. Never have I had bad service or bad food. The food is flavorful, creative and incredibly good.
They have a kick ass wine list as well
Hannah is the best server...if you are lucky enough to get her -

I work in Tacoma, but live closer to Seattle. Asado is my favorite restaurant in Tacoma, without question. We are normally in here after work during the week, but this last weekend we took some friends from Seattle to T-town for a birthday. Asado did not disappoint.
Unlike a typical night during the week, the place was jammed and rockin'. During the the 10 months of winter in Seattle, that is a little bit of an issue, because the big front doors are closed. That means it is a little noisy and a little smoky from the mesquite fire over which they cook the steaks. Deal with it.
My wife always gets the lomo (filet) and I always get the espalda (flat iron). The polenta is outstanding. For appetizers, try the bacon wrapped prawns. Dessert . . . donut holes with dipping sauces. The establishment always has the right amount of staff on the floor, and the manager takes time to make sure everybody is getting what they need, etc. Full bar, decent beers, and the wine list is very good. If you are a wine snob, ask to talk with Wayne about the wines that he has tucked away in limited supply and that are not on the list.
Parking is a little bit of an issue. Here's the deal . . . take advantage of the $5 valet parking.
Will I go back? Of course . . . every chance I get. -

I've always seen this place when I drive down 6th avenue. We decided to grab dinner here. The place was packed! Figured that was a good sign. Anyway, we ordered the salmon and Asado burger. The food was way salty and overly seasoned. The beef in the burger was also super overcooked. Honestly, the food here is not worth the cost... The atmosphere was the only positive aspect, if anything.

I'd give a 5 for the food and a 3.5 to 4 for service.
my husband and i ate there and the bill came out to about $141 (not including the two margaritas and two glasses of cab we had while waiting) and the service was just alright. everyone was nice and friendly, but definitely need more wait staff because our waitress seemed like she was stretched thin. also we had reservations but didn't get seated for about 20 minutes after our reservation (which defeats the purpose of a reservation.
the food was delicious though. we had the ceviche and their soup of the day. Both were delicious and I was pretty impressed by the ceviche portion. It was a good sized portion and was delicious. i had the lomo steak with polenta and my husband had the ribeye with purple mash potatoes. I definitely recommend the polenta over the mash potatoes although they were both good. I'd have to say this is my favorite steak restaurant. (although i still haven't tried el gaucho's steak) their steak comes out perfect everytime. I prefer this place over the met grill.
we had their chocolate (i think it was lava cake) cake with ice cream and it was good but not spectacular.
i'd go back again and would recommend to anyone who is looking for a delicious steak. -

Amazing open air ambience. We ordered an appetizer (ceviche yum!), scallop skewer, lamb empanadas, and chocolate brownie raspberry dessert. All very tasty and on the bar menu (which saved us $$). Plenty enough for two. Great malbec wine and rockin' service (Kate!),

Tacoma, WA
Not really my type of place. My sense of smell was over powered when I entered, but I became accustomed to it. The food was fine, service was great, but I was extremely disappointed when a 20% tip was added on to my check because of being in a group. I can see 15-18%, but not 20%. That's a bit greedy. I usually tip 22-25% and add the difference on to the 18%, but this time I didn't.
It's disappointing that restaurants have to add a tip on to group checks. Come on people, do you really think other people are going to tip for you. -

One delicious meal!
Beautiful atmosphere that doesn't feel uptight. You can go there dressed casually or dress up a little. The wait staff was absolutely wonderful and husband loved that his water glass was never below half!
The start you off with a flavored butter and bread that was absolutely wonderful! I could of sat there and ate the butter and bread all night long, which I know probably sounds gross, but that gives you the idea of good the butter was. It had a nice little kick to it and tasted more like cheese vs. butter, but our waiter reassured us it was butter!
My husband ordered the Espalda Asado-Flat Iron Steak, which was cooked a perfect medium and gorgeously seasoned! I ordered the Parrilla Mixta with a mix of grill skewered steak, jumbo prawns, and chorizo sausage with polenta. It was extremely tasty, full of flavor and the meat very tender. The portions were huge, which made for a wonderful lunch the next day.
Definitely enjoyed our dinner here and would recommend you stop in for dinner! -

My husband and I wanted to try this place for a while. When we finally did I was disappointed. The host did not make us feel welcome. We did not make reservations (it doesn't look like a place that requires them) and he made sure to tell our server "They don't have reservations." I found him to be rude. It's not like the place was packed. In fact there were only 6 other tables occupied.
Our server Christie was their saving grace. (The only reason they are getting 2 stars). She was friendly and attentive. The food was ok. My steak was flavorless, and over priced. You pay for the atmosphere. We will not go there again. -

So delicious, so romantic. This place is perfect for a date with someone special. My boyfriend took me here when I came to visit last week and I was stunned. This place is incredible, get the crepas dulce.. Your stomach will love you. We also got a chicken dish that I can't remember the name of but it was heavenly- tons of spinach and cherry tomatoes. Eeek! They forgot we both ordered the same thing so the kitchen split our orders in two which was really nice. It was so much food that a half order would have been enough.
The atmosphere here is nice too, not too loud, but not so quiet that you feel bad for talking:)
Come here with someone special. -

Glad I made a reservation on a Saturday as the place was packed. The staff is friendly and very attentive, helped by the small size of the place.
The food is good, one degree outside the typical fare; slightly adventurous without causing concern whether you will like it. My stuffed pork chop was skillfully prepared and the chop was quite good though the chorizo stuffing was bland. My wife's mixed grill had very tasty beef and well-seasoned prawns (shrimp, actually) but the chorizo was disappointing with almost no flavor, as if it were made with chicken breast and no spices (like the stuffing in my pork chop).
My biggest complaint is how LOUD the place is. People are packed into a relatively small space and every surface is hard. Some fabrics on the floor and walls would quiet the place a bit; as it was we had to speak loudly to be heard across the table. We skipped dessert just to get out of there so we didn't have to yell at one another.
Try it if you are looking for a new flavor, but not if you are looking for an intimate setting. -

I miss this classy, delicious meaty smelling joint. No really, it is classy. And that Argentinian meat smoke may linger after you leave, but it is SO worth it.
I was first enamored by the bread and chorizo butter.
Then it was by the lunch menu with it's skewers and delicious soup and purple potatoes.
Then it was the half-price select bottles of wine on Tuesday.
This place is so good and has such a varietal menu, that I drug my vegetarian-seafood eating friends here and demanded that they have a good time. -
Review from Josh S.
I will forever remember and thank this place for giving us such a memorable dining experience.
I was looking for a hip, innovative, and unique place for my very first date. I didn't want to take her on highly overrated predictable cuisine where we'll have good foods but nothing to remember afterward. I wanted to make a good impression on her and this was just it.
I especially liked the $5 valet parking. Made me feel like I'm a high-roller at $5. I walked in and the host got us seat immediately. We got there around 6:30PM on Friday night and the place wasn't all that crowded (yet). We were seated by outside table, she was on the window seat. The night was sunny but still got bit chilly by the night and she was wearing a very thin dress. Luckily, the restaurant had heated air coming from the ceiling(?) and prevented the people by window warm enough to enjoy the dining - I thought this was excellent feature of the restaurant especially when weather can easily ruin the night/experience.
The waitresses quickly came with the bread and cheese. The cheese was excellent! I asked our server what it was, but quickly forgot about it. My date was impressed already. She believes that a good restaurant serves good bread - which Asado just provided. Thanks!
Our entrees were also excellent. Being very naive on South American cuisine, we asked lots of questions. My date isn't good with spicy foods so Churizo wasn't for her (lol). I did have pork-chop and my date ordered Gnocchi. Both were innovative and something we (independently) haven't had before.
Our highlight was the dessert. Although it was our first date, we have been friends for few years and had 'friends dinner' few times. Both of us are big on desserts (neither drinks, so we tend to order desserts). We had the house-special chocolate dessert which was chocolate/brownie ice-cream sticks with raspberry dipping sauce. OMG, it was taste of heaven!
Overall, I couldn't thank Asado enough for providing us great memory on our first date. We moved onto Point Defiance Park afterward to walk around the beach and park. What a lovely night! I think I may pulled all the right cards that night. -

I don't normally go out to eat in Tacoma. This was a special occasion for my mom's birthday and my sister was in town so she picked it out based on yelp reviews.
I do agree that the curtain in the front is weird. We had reservations so we were seated promptly. The chimichurri butter was tasty.
Now to the food. I ordered the fish of the day which was a grilled tuna with the pablano polenta. The fish was overcooked and dry. The polenta had way too much cheese.
My mom got the petite grill with the purple mash potatoes which looked great.
My sister got the butter squash gnocchi and her husband got the flat iron steak.
There was not much gnocchi in her dish but abundant cloves of garlic and macadamia nuts. The flat iron steak looked amazing and her husband gave great reviews.
For dessert was the torte de chocolate aka lava cake. Described as a soufflé it was very dense cake almost like brownie. Soufflé it was not.
Overall I was not satisfied with my plate and I could tell my sister was not either with her gnocchi.
I would recommend to stick with the steaks at this place. Seems like the only thing good on the menu. -

Went here last friday night on a date with my husband and I am definitely a fan! Everything was good, In had the asado salad AMAZING! and my husband had a Flat Iron steak ( I took a bite or two of his and that was also fantastic!) For dessert, we had the Vanilla bean creme brule with caramel chew and it was absolutely dreamy! I highly recommend this place and will certainly be back soon!

I have to admit...I was very hesitant to come eat here initially. As an Argentine, I thought, "there is no way in Hell's Kitchen this a good steak house. Look at them...trying to come off as an Argentine steakhouse" - and in Tacoma??!! But it got great reviews from fellow Yelpers regarding the ambiance and decor. So, I make the command decision and my girl, who's been like a crack fiend for wanting to dress up and go to a nice, romantic dinner and I, get all gussied up and head over to Asado.
Passing by the place, it looked elegant, almost sexy, in a I'm-definitely-gonna-get-some-after-this-dinner kind of way. That aside, we went in, got seated and got our wine almost immediately...nice. The bread with the chorizo butter to start things off caught my attention. Very good, and I figured if that was good, dinner had to be even better. Curious, I ordered a couple of orders (an order = 2) of empanadas. After all, I have to see if they're better than the way I make them lol. Looking at them sitting on a plate, they definitely look like mine...and wow! They are fantastic. Are they as good as mine? Pretty close, and that's hard for me to say lol. But they are. Can't go wrong as an appetizer. Looking at the menu, everything sounded fantastic. My girl looked up from the menu and said to me, 'This is your people's food, so impress me.' I ordered the espalda asado for her and the lomo for me. The food came and the presentation was on point. So far so good. Then the bite came...OH MAN! This was steak perfection! Now granted, I don't eat a lot of steak, just occasionally, but this has to be one the best, if not the best, steak I've had. Just the right seasoning, and grilled just right. The cook has to be a culinary genius. My girl looked like she was getting BOTH appetities fulfilled eating her meal, and I was starting to feel jealous...OVER STEAK! LOL. But she did offer me a taste and that was just as good as mine. The Peruvian mashed potatoes were unbelievably good (disclaimer: you will never eat Peruvian anything in a restaurant in Argentina...just sayin' lol). After dinner, we were stuffed and happy. No way there's room for desse...WHAT? Dulce de leche cheesecake? With ice cream? And caramel sauce? Can't say no to that...and eating that I felt I had died and was lounging in dessert heaven.
At first, I had thought about deducting a star for lack of any Argentine compatriot, but then I would be THAT PERSON, that yelps and writes a brutal review on food because their napkin was folded incorrectly. But I think it would give the place a little more authenticity if they had at least one Spanish speaker on the floor. But Asado will not get hits from me...great food, great drinks, great ambiance, and great place for impressing a date. I'm definitely coming back when I'm in the area. -

Came here with a friend at around dinner time because he said the Asado burger is really good and a must-try. Turns out that the Asado burger is only on the bar menu which you have to specially ask for (which we did, no big deal).
We ended up ordering 2 Asado burgers and our waitress said "do you want the dip?" and not knowing what she meant, we both said "sure!" It turns out that the "dip" is a completely different burger than the Asado burger but we thought she was just referring to a special burger dip and not a completely new burger. Oh well.
We also ordered some calamari. When that came, we had a few pieces and both decided that it was WAY too salty. We both like salty things but this was just overbearing... so much so that we had to tell our waitress. The second batch was much better (albeit, salty still).
The burger dips were pretty good. Honestly, I wasn't that into them.
Oh well, I'm definitely coming back to try all the other mouthwatering items I saw on the menu. I just probably won't order the burger dip or the calamari again.
On a note aside from the food, the decor is KILLER. Loved the whole look of the place, and the bathrooms were really nice too! Asado has a GREAT atmosphere. -

Dear Tacoma, I didn't know you had this kind of hip dining with delicious food in you. Going to Asado for happy hour made me feel like I was living back on capital hill or LA. The ambiance and people looked very trendy.
My partner and I went to happy hour for drinks and appetizers. We shared the camerones parrilla (prawn skewer), arepes de carne asado, and burger dip. WOW. They were all super tasty with amazing seasoning. The prawn skewer came with four delicious shrimp and grilled peppers. The arepes de carne asado is minced flank steak wonderfully seasoned and spicey with cornbread all in a salsa or tomato sauce. The burger dip was one of the best sandwiches ever. The cheese and seasoning was fantastic. The veal jus made it amazing. I just can't wait to go back.
The service as well was pretty good.Listed in: Best of Tacoma

Delicioso! This place is a hidden gem, even the atmosphere at the bar had a cool vibe going on an early evening in the middle of summer. The 4 of us had just gotten off the golf course and stumbled upon this place by accident. We were quite hungry from a day on the course in the wind and rain walking with our caddies for the afternoon.
This place was enjoyed by all, even the finicky in the bunch. I had and thouroughly enjoyed the:
I had the LOMO* Tenderloin Steak with Rosemary Fig Demi Served with Chimichurri and Salsa Criolla and got the Peruvian Purple Mashed Potatoes split with the Poblano Polenta. Incredible Flavors!!!Listed in: Unchained, Carbs ? Who needs 'em.

Review from Tae L.
My first experience at Asado was for lunch. When you walk into Asado, you will notice that the decor is very polished. It certainly has one of the nicer restaurant interiors on 6th Ave. I sat at the bar and the leather stools were very comfortable. Service was just average. I eventually decided to order the "Petite Mixed Grill" which included a steak skewer, 2 prawns and a chorizo link over a bed of polenta. I must say, the meal was very good. There was a nice kick of spice and flavor with every bit. The steak was cooked perfectly and chorizo was very tasty. The weakest part of the dish was the prawns which I felt were average, but the savory polenta more than made up for it. Based on the fact the food was a 4.5 and the service was a 3.5, My first visit to Asado was a solid 4.
Last week I decided to try out Asado's "late night happy hour" where they serve many of their bar dishes for $3 off of the regular price - two thumbs up for this! I stopped by around 9:30pm and it was pretty busy. The bartender was social and genuinely interested in making sure everything was taken care of - another two thumbs up! I ended up ordering the steak skewer with a side of polenta which only cost me $6.95 - an amazing deal for the quality of food you get. Both the steak and polenta were on spot. For my second time around I would give Asado a 4.5.
I would have to say that Asado puts out some of the best food on 6th Ave and if happen to stop by during happy hour, you'll get a great deal on some tasty dishes. I'm hoping in the future the service leans more towards my experience last week and if that's the case, this may eventually end up being one my favorite restaurants to go to. Strongly recommended! -

Good service, great food. When I crave steak this is where i go. The waitstaff is usually on point, I've had one poor experience in the last ten visits and that was on a very busy night. I'd recommend calling for reservations a day or two before since the last few times I've gone we had to sit in the bar or not get in (with kids). They have a nice beer selection and some good options for Vegetrians too.

Asado is AMAZING, and I am a difficult person to get to say something like that. Every time we have been here (around 10x's probably) everything is fantastic. The cocktails, bread, food and dessert (bananas fritas- the stuff dreams are made of) - to die for.
Since we found Asado, I hardly ever want to eat anywhere else. It's just too good!
Aside from the food being phenominal- the decor and ambience are great. As well as the staff. We have always enjoyed every aspect of our visits there. Except- I wish they were open on Saturday afternoons! -

Good tasting food but it took over 30 minutes to get desert out. Really, I thought desert was the easiest to bring out. Any way they are also a bit pricey but I like the lamb they cook. I will probably not go again unless there is nothing better close by.

Been there three times. Twice for happy hour, once for lunch. Took me a while to write a review because I had a hard time with figuring out why I'm not really a fan of this place regardless of everyone raving about it. But I think I know why now.
The last time for lunch I had Asado burger dip. If I had each item including sauce separately, I would say it was enjoyable. However, having all of them together in one plate, it became rather overwhelming. I thought it was great at first, but I ended up having difficulties finishing because I was tired of this more is better type seasoning. What was missing was something a little on a bland side to give taste buds a break. Maybe house fries with a lot less spices.
Maybe I'm being a bit too critical...but for their price and abilities to make great food, three stars.
The service was friendly in general, but perhaps not kid friendly. I was with my infant and said he may need a high chair, but it was never offered. Maybe some people think it's not a place to bring your kid in, but hey, it's not a five-star restaurant, and it was for lunch. Why not? -

I really want to go to Argentina about every other day. I want to eat lots and lots of beef, drink lots and lots of wine and see penguins.
Argentinian people are talkers! They are lively! They want you to be happy!
Did Asado transport me there? Not really.
First of all, I think paying $17 for lunch was too much. I did not even order a beverage! No vino or cola, nada.
Ordered the skewer/side salad lunch. My skirt steak was delicious and cooked to perfection. I also had the wedge salad which was topped with a tangy dressing, corn and avocado.
My taste buds hate giving those three stars, but my wallet does not.
Interior is dark wood, sexy. Hmmmm...
Also, other reviewers are saying the service was super. The server we had was meh. She seemed to not care to be there nor did she really care what we ordered. She had a reaction (I'm going to call it a negative one) when my girlfriend placed her ordered so I asked her about it. She was taken aback about being asked, naturally, but then seemed to blow off my question and said, "No. What she ordered is good." That was it. No more conversation for me. I do not know if there were lunch or wine specials. I do not know if dessert is offered.
Beef, vino and penguins... maybe I will save up my dinero for the real experience.Listed in: Tacoma!

Very nice location and wonderful rustic feel. I had the seared sea bass and it was perfect! Every bite was better than the last, I was very impressed. My boyfriend had the lamb shank which was cooked perfectly, falling off the bone. We had good wine that wasn't outrageously expensive. Our server was ok, very prompt for most of the meal. I would definitely recommend this place. Great spot for a date.

Being that Asado is located directly across the street from Masa, it took me a long time to finally get up the courage to branch out and walk the 60 long feet to "the other side." Since they are both owned by the same group, I wasn't really concerned with the quality, but I had heard horror stories of bills with 57 digits, debt collectors and broken knee caps. Truth be told, I often times forget that no matter how pricy a place is, in this poor man's future we now inhabit, the happy hour menu reigns supreme.
Like Masa, Asado has a very nice and innovative interior, and unlike Masa, most of the waitresses are smiling pretty much all the time. The seating is comfy and, again, like Masa, I love that the walls basically open up to the streets, allowing for a very pleasant indoor/outdoor fusion. While the prices in the bar still range from about 8 to 16 dollars, it is still a breath of fresh air compared to the 25-40 dollars you will spend when diving into their dinner menu.
Calamari Frito - Yeah, Boyyyyy. They nailed it. Very similar to the Calamari at the Ram (which under normal circumstances might be an insult to a restaurant of Asado's caliber, but if you see my Calamari review for the Ram, you'll realize this is an immense compliment). Long, thin and tender slices of squid, perfectly cooked so that chewy is but a memory. The breading is delicious and much zippier than most places, and the aioli is delicious with the jalapeno kick. To come full circle, they nailed it.
Ceviche - I had never had ceviche before, so I have nothing to compare it to. I liked it. I love seafood and I love guacamole... thus, I liked it.
Queso Frito - Sometimes you just have to throw caution to the wind and shave a few years off of your life for the love of cheese. I really really really wish that I was still young and invincible enough to eat meals like this on a daily basis, alas, I do wish to live long enough to eat again. I think I may have proved myself a glutton when I requested a plate of sweet potato fries to accompany this dish. Worth it.
I'm not going to get into the specifics of their specialty cocktails, but I will say they were refreshing, delicious, and the quality of ingredients was evident. No Monarca at Asado.
Will work for Asado. -

This is by far, my favorite restaurant in Tacoma. It is moderately priced with food that is absolutely extraordinary. Service is always top shelf, and the ambiance is amazing. Don't waste your money on a steak elsewhere. This place is for steak lovers! -and don't rule out the polenta or Oritos Fritos (fried banana dessert) Asado has a fabulous selection of wines and and delicious, fresh, Mojitos. The bartenders always make great drinks. I have never been disappointed and have been a loyal customer for years. You'd better make a reservation for a Friday or weekend dinner! -Go a little dressy, or very casual, you'll still have great service.

Recently, I came way out of the way for a second go here as I was very upset and disgusted with the direction of food at El Toro - (Price/Quality, Quantity).
I had the exact same dish, fish burrito, and I didn't find it nearly as palatable as the first experience. From the red sauce they put over it, to the filling, the wet burrito was SALTY.
This meal was salty to another friend who didn't give a dang about salt. Not sure what changed over a year, but it was disappointing and I hope it was just a salty anomaly.
With that said and to be reasonable, I haven't tried anything else but the burrito, the prices are generally low for the locale, and the food is very inspired compared to El Toro, or any other Tacoma Mexican Style Venue I've been to. But the "FREE" parking options are usually scarce, and the (probably unusually) salty food was inexcusable. Summing up all the factors, I would like to give them 4 stars.. But I can't endorse rushing to come here after the latest experience. -

I hesitate to write a great review for Asado out of selfishness as this place is always packed - for good reason. My favorites here are the scallop skewers with Bacon leek slaw and the ceviche. Most delicious food on 6th Ave. Drinks are excellent too.

Review from Tom B.
Fantastic steak house that really delivers for the price. It's somewhere in the neighborhood of Jak's in terms of both quality and price.
It's funny for an old Tacoman like me to think of fine dining on 6th, but here it is. It's pretty laid back and comfortable for such a nice place; the server was even wearing jeans. But they do so many things so well.
The menu is admirably focused--a brief card with specials, and two pages with plenty of white space. Half a dozen each of appetizers, salads, steaks, pastas, and seafood dishes. You know without trying them that the kitchen has put some thought into each one.
It's a great setting for food as well--comfortable chairs and attractive leather benches. The leather menus play up the Argentine theme without being contrived. All the tableware is fancy, but the tabletops are some sort of distressedf-finish wood. They really want you to feel like you're in cattle country, but while you're there, you're at a nice place.
The centerpiece is the steak for sure. I had the jalapeno and garlic tenderloin special, and my mom had the flatiron. I don't know how rare I would say my rare steak was, but it tasted great and still had plenty of pink flavor, so a little darkening seriously wasn't an issue. The flatiron was beautifully cooked. They love to hit steaks with chopped vegetables, jus, and risotto or other grains here. It's actually great accompaniment, easy to pick up with slices of meat and a good counterpoint to the flavors and textures.
Two steaks, a glass of wine, and a glass of beer barely cleared $80 here. Could easily have saved $15 by ordering a steak from the regular menu, too We could certainly have splurged a bit more than we did, but it was a filling and satisfying meal for sure. Lots of reviews are busting El Gaucho in comparison to this place, and that's really the natural conclusion. You spend maybe half as much here, and you get comparable quality or maybe better. -

Okay, i read the reviews and heard such great things about this place that even though my son got sick after eating here once i decided to give it a try. First let me say that i am not the best critique on spicy food. I prefer well rounded spices not hot. I ordered the fish with vegetable and had to trade my husband who ordered some delicious moist chicken dish. But at the end of the day for $70 i did not feel we got our moneys worth.

This was my 2nd time coming here. the last time was a few years before and I remember liking that time also.
The wait staff was nice, but our waiter pretty much disappeared after she took our order. There were other busboys that pretty much waited on us after we got our order.
The food is just fantastic. I haven't visited many Tacoma restaurants since my move to Los Angeles about 10 years ago, but this is probably my favorite restaurant in Tacoma.
I had the frenched Rib Eye with the Poblano polenta. The rib eye was seasoned and cooked perfectly. the polenta was just awesome also. -

In the car on our way back from T-town, I made some crazy assertion that the average Argentine eats 400 pounds of beef a year. Turns out it's only 140 lbs a year... so shoot me :)
I have no idea how "authentic" this place is, but who cares. They know how to cook a steak and that's all that matters in my book. Do they get this beef from Argentina? Because it's freakin delicious.
They had a pretty good selection of wine in the $30-per-bottle range and our waiter offered up some good suggestions..... always appreciated!
Be careful parking in the neighborhood around Asado. The first block is permit only parking, so you have to go to the next block where parking is free. Your other option is valet, but I am so cheap when it comes to that.
