This place is OK. I went here for drinks and appetizers last night.
The best part of the meal was the rolls and dipping oil, we were starving so we devoured two buckets of this tasty treat!
My caprese salad was OK, the tomatoes didn't taste home grown or local, more like the grocery store variety.. but the dressing and cheese was good. My friends like the buffalo wings and bruchetta. The gin and tonic that I drank was fair.
The staff was friendly and they have outdoor seating as well. -

Solid restaurant on main street. I got the fresh "lobster in the raw" special. Just a plain old steamed lobster for $14 and it was good and fresh. We sat outside for dinner, which seemed like a perfect way to enjoy the summer. The waiter was slow, but really friendly and polite. I'd recommend this spot if you are on holiday in hyannis.

One of the last old sea captain's homes on Main Street, the Asa Grill (formerly The Asa Bearse House and The Blue Room) is a great (and much-needed addition) to the nightlife in Hyannis. Elegant looking but a great party spot as well. Food: portions are great, and the quality is very good too, especially with the decent prices. Biggest and best steak tips in town! Also try the Asa Grill Satay for an appetizer, chicken skewers with peanut sauce and beef skewers with a soy sauce that is to die for.
The front bar is more laidback, they just installed some laser light thing up front that is incredible, really sets the mood with what looks like a starlit night, and sometimes they have acoustic musicians up there in the early evening, making it a great place to come in from outside, chill out with some beer and food and soak it all in.
Staff is friendly, bouncers are even cordial (as long as you're nice to them, they're nice back).
The place has had some much-needed renovation and the back area looks great, big dance floor where the hottest DJs on Cape along with great cover bands rock the place almost nightly. Love the back 'library' bar (though I kinda wished they hadn't extended the bar back to the library wall, you used to be able to walk around the whole thing and now that's that much less bar seating as well. They even kept an old phone booth (which I think is empty but allows one that needs some quiet cell time to slip in and make a call without going outside, as it gets LOUD in there.
All in all, great party spot....the only complaint I have is that they sometimes fall prey to what other places on the Cape do and on holiday summer weekends tend to gouge cover charges at the door (that's why 4 stars and not 5). Otherwise, highly recommended....great if you want to visit a Hyannis nightclub where you actually have room to move around! -

From start to finish, this was the absolute WORST dining experience of my life! The restaurant is in a great location on Main Street and the building is very nice so we thought we were in for a good dinner. However, everything about this restaurant was lousy. To begin with, the table we were seated at was dirty and the hostess struggled to properly clean it or give us enough silverware and place settings.
The restaurant did not have a drink menu but the waiter said they have a full bar, however they did not have the first two types of scotch my dad ordered, so he settled on Johnny Walker Red with a splash of water. When the waiter brought the "scotch and water" it was served in a pint glass with ice - full to the top - 90% water with a shot of scotch mixed in! My dad asked our waiter to bring it back to the bartender to fix it and after speaking with the bartender he returned and said if he wanted more scotch in it, my dad would have to pay extra for it! Come on! Annoyed, he returned it and drank his glass of water. If you're looking for a Bud Light then this is the place for you, but if you are looking for something that takes the slightest bit of ability to prepare, then beware! Then the waiter even had the audacity to say "Well who will pay for this now? Do you think this is coming out of my pay check?" A trip to speak with the manager settled that one.
I can write novels about the poor quality of food. Bad service is one thing, but bad food is an entire other category. The pasta was overcooked, the pork was inedible, the rice was the most disgusting thing I have ever eaten. My parents never return their food, but both sent their dishes back to the kitchen in disgust. The appetizers were okay but came out at the same time as the entrees! And if you order the ahi tuna (which the menu emphasizes as "rare") be prepared for it to be overcooked and flaky like it came out of a tuna can.
After sending back the two meals, the waiter asked us if we wanted to talk to a manager and when he came over, he offered no apology. We politely explained that we were incredibly disappointed and had a very bad dining experience. We told him we didn't like our dishes and he gave a snide remark "well it looks like you ate most of it anyway." No class and no idea how to run a business or show customer service. His only response was "well what do you want me to do about it?" Since he offered no solution, we told him he weren't paying for all of the meals. He agreed and we got out of there as fast as we could.
Don't ruin your vacation or night out by wasting your time here. The entire experience was a nightmare. -

We visited Asa last Sunday for dinner. What caught our eye was the sign that read $14.95 Lobster Special from 4:30pm-6:30pm, Sunday-Thursday. We arrived at the hostess stand at 6:24pm and asked her if we were too late for the special. She told us we weren't and sat us at our table. Our waitress, Nina did not arrive at our table until 6:33pm. We asked about the special and she told us we were too late. That was only the beginning of what would turn out to be a horrible hour and a half at dinner. Each time the children needed drink refills, she took at least ten minutes to bring them each time. When asking for substitutions for the swordfish, Nina gave me attitude and said she was unsure if the kitchen would do it. She later came back and told me they would, but would charge extra for the substitute of grilled veggies...$4.00. On the same dish when I asked for the whipped potatoes, she said rudely, "You mean mash potatoes?" I told her I was just reading off what they had on the menu, but she didn't seem to care. Our dinner was fare, but overpriced. The yellow fin tuna came with a chili oil that did not compliment the appetizer well at all. When my boyfriend asked for aioli, Nina claimed they didn't have any. He had to end up asking another waiter to bring him some. At the end of the meal, I met Nina inside and while she was getting our bill together, I told her what horrible service we received. I told her about her not getting to our table promptly and not allowing us to order the special, when a couple that were in line after us, sat down and their waitress was able to get them the special. I told her my boyfriend ended up getting the aioli himself (which the restaurant had two types). Nina blamed everyone else but herself. She blamed the kitchen for telling her they didn't have the aioli and the manager for telling her she could serve us the lobster because she came to our table at 6:33pm. The overall service and attitude of Nina ruined our only night for dinner in Cape Cod. Thanks Nina!!
