I happened upon this place today while out for a walk.  Take out was fast.  I was alone and sweaty, so I didn't stay, but the dining room is pleasant.  They have pictures of the Royal Family all over the joint.  It's not fancy, but they take pride in the place. When I brought up my recent to trip to Thailand the lady at the counter was very excited and we talked for a few minutes.  There was a decent size crowd at 4 p.m. on Sunday.  I bet it gets busy.

The food was bomb. Thai beef salad flavor was awesome.  FRIED PORK was super. A  few pieces a little dry, but some of the pieces were perfection.  Damn good food.

    I'll go back very soon.

I've been coming here since I was a wee little girl. The last time I went, I thought the food had dropped dramatically in quality, but I don't think I have a clear recollection of what it was like before.

My mom still loves it, however. She has a thing for the crab noodles and the seafood soup.

This place is great.  It has literally hundreds of menu options, and the food is fresh.  i like the crab noodles and coconut shrimp mushroom soup (extra spicy of course).  This is a cut above your garden variety Thai, its worth checking out.

I've been fortunate to have some great Thai food in the other places I've lived (and some bad Thai food) - This place fell somewhere in between.

I tried the the Tom Kha/Kar Gai/Kai (on the menu as Chicken coconut soup) and a Pad Thai (don't remember what it's menu name was) for take-out, which are the two things I'll often judge a Thai place on.

The TKG was a /very/ thick coconut base soup with chicken off of a chicken (i.e. the occasional extra piece of tendon or a piece of dark meat) and had a lot of red oil that didn't seem to be spicy.  I was a little wary of such a thick base, and when I poured it into a bowl at home, there were a few little octopus legs sitting in the bottom of the container - I mean the place is called Arunee SEAFOOD after all, so I let it slide, but I would've preferred they weren't there (and I once had a maggot in a TKG at a place in Boston, so I felt a couple stray octopus legs could slide).  The straw mushrooms in it tasted canned/papery and I didn't really feel like eating them.  The base was good and the chicken was cooked well and overall quite good, but I doubt I'll get it again - between the octopus legs and the sub-par mushrooms this gets maybe 2.5 stars.

On to the Pad Thai (chicken) - and a quick disclaimer that I was hungry that night - it was well fried with just enough sauce to make the noodles the right consistency and not drown anything else out.  The fried egg was a bit over-fried to the point of being kind of tough in a few pieces and I actually threw some of it away rather than gnaw threw it.  The chicken seemed to be the same as was in the TKG and worked well for the dish.  But for the egg - 4 stars, better than what I had at Sanamluang on Hollywood and but not quite up to what I would describe as excellent Pad Thai (based on a few favorite places back East).

The clientele was pretty homogeneous the night I went and didn't seem to include anyone of Thai descent, but that isn't too surprising given the area.

One strange thing that happened while I was there - this guy who had been walking up and down the sidewalk staring off into space and randomly waving his arms at cars (read: crazy) walked in.  He went to a table and appeared to ask for money and then sat down at another table whose guests had left, but that hadn't been bussed and piled a bunch of leftover food into his mouth, took off his sandal and scratched his blackened foot and then left without anyone saying anything (neither patrons nor owners).  Eh... he wasn't walking behind the counter and making my food, nor did he seem to cause any real commotion so I guess it was OK?  Strange nonetheless and would make me think twice about doing anything but takeout.

I parked on the street, but there is a lot associated with the little strip mall it's in, so you could find a spot.

OH! I almost forgot, for the soup and Pad Thai was about $17 - which is a little steep in my book.

Edit: they have a sign saying $15 minimum for credit cards.
