Review from Antonia M.
Los Angeles, CA
I tend to base how awesome a thai place is based on the pad see ew considering that is my all time favorite dish. This place definitely passes my test.
My boyfriend and I live a few blocks down, so we usually just walk on by, order something to go (there's a mint/beef dish? super good, but not minty at all so don't be surprised), walk to the 7-11 a couple stores down, and when we come back, the food's done!
Great pad see ew, great service, speedy prep. It's a bit too pricey, but not so bad that I wouldn't go back! -

HAVE CHANGED LOCATION
They are currently relocating to the corner of 6t and Alexandria.
I will post the new address as soon as they open the new restaurant.
I left them my cell phone number and asked them to call me as soon as they opened it, they promised a free meal on Opening Day. Yay!2 Previous Reviews: Show all »

Review from Nette C.
Oakland, CA
drove by and saw a lot of patrons inside. turns out they were actually the workers doing bookkeeping and the only patrons were a couple at one table and a man dining alone at another. even with this, we had to wait a good 20 minutes for our food.
thai iced tea - 90% cream, 10% tea. it was gross and i didn't drink much of it.
satay chicken - super salty and didn't taste like satay chicken. the meat was very moist and tender though. overall it was too salty to keep eating.
spicy garlic shrimp - very good.
pad thai - tasted nothing like pad thai. but it was still good.
For $8 - $10 a dish, it is considered pricey Thai food and too much of a gamble on top of that. I would not let my friends come here. -

honestly, i don't think i've ever had bad thai food anywhere. i think it's the spices that goes into thai cooking that will confuse ur taste buds, but whatever it is, any place that is an 'arunee' thai place around town is pretty good. i think they're all owned by the same couple anyway. they're all super-cheap (&fast), so u can order many diff dishes at once, which is what i luv to do.
