I have been going here for years and cannot say enough good things about this place. I discovered him from one of the sales associates at Neiman Marcus. He told me that they send all of their own shoe repairs there. Having a real love for expensive shoes, finding a place like this that specializes in designer shoe and handbag repairs is invaluable. He has saved a few of my shoes after a good night out.  I am such a big fan even if he joked that I should stop playing soccer in my stilettos.

p.s. He does brilliant work on Louboutins and will keep your bottoms the perfect signature red!

This would have been a 5 star review HOWEVER...

Let me tell you, finding a good cobbler for expensive shoes is extremely important! After reading articles on The Purse Forum I found that ladies there recommend going to Arturo's for their Louboutins.

I brought my own vibrams that I wanted put on my Daffs before heading to vegas and was surprised at how inexpensive it was (especially for his work).

There is one MAJOR CON to this place and its the one man working in the front. He is not the master cobbler but instead he is an overly sarcastic, egotistical, I couldn't care less about your shoes because I see them everyday, I'll ignore you till you speak to me first front desk paper pusher.

Honestly, if it weren't for that guy, I wouldn't even mind coming back even though it took an hour to get here!

Parking is not bad, there are public parking lots on the back side of Santa Monica ($2 per hour). Getting there is a pain unless you happen to live a couple of blocks away from Rodeo haha.

The place is small, and located in one of the busiest areas of LA. I suggest going early and asking for same day service (if possible) and grab a cupcake or two while you wait.

They are pretty straight forward guys, do a great job on the shoes, and have great customer service! They are fairly priced too. I just hate the parking situation and, at times, they seem a tad disorganized.

In 2004 I took in one pair of 1999 Justin Ropers with their heel and sole beat to hell, as any good ropers should be.

Arturo put a brand new heel and sole on the boots for well under a hundred dollars.  I still wear them today.  Yeah, I'm a fan.

For those of you who rather buy a fantastic pair of shoes vs. eating for a couple of months, I think you know how important it is to have a good cobbler!

So I moved from Boston to LA and I wanted to cry when I had to say good bye to my cobbler back in Boston.

Once I arrived in LA I was hit with anxiety...hello people in this town don't ever walk! they drive everywhere! What am I suppose to do for a good cobbler!!!

I did some research (took a couple of months) and found Arturo's.  When I walked in with my arms filled with my fabulous shoes that were dying for some repair, the shoes were looked over and Arturo's first comment to me was "DO YOU KNOW HOW TO WALK?" My response "I drink a lot"!  That was a beginning of a fabulous friendship!

btw...he is offering his services online now! Since you can't see me, I will have you know I am doing the happy dance for you!

WOAH!!!!  I seriously was so angry at the world when my new light blue YSL bag that I have had for less than a month got a stain right in the F'n front.  It was totally discolored and even more totally obvious.  I was about to shoot someone when my good friend told me about this place.  When I called, the gentleman was very honest about possibly *not* being able to get it out as it was a light color.  I crossed my fingers and brought it anyway.

I figured, since I was there I had a pair of Chanel shoes that the strap broke.  I've had Chanel attempt to repair them (even sent them to NY and back) and they came back still broken.

They told me it would take about one week.

One week later, I came back to a brand new bag and a new pair of shoes.  I swear to GOD I thought both items were ruined.  The cost was $30 to repair the bag and $20 to repair the shoes.  They could not get the stain out, so they color dyed the stain to match the bag.  GENIUS!!!  Shoes were perfect.

I heard from a bird that Gucci takes all their repairs here also.

    2 pairs of Christian Louboutin
    1 pair of Manolo Blahnik
1 pair of J. Crew kitten heels

    Total = $125

    Pricey? Yes.
Worth it? Yes (even though I would have preferred to spend $125 at Sprinkles next door).

Honestly, Arturo did a FANTASTIC job on my 4 pairs of shoes. My Manolos look new again! I wore them to a frat house years ago.. (I know, who does that..) and I ruined them, but Arturo cleaned them up and they look so clean and pink again!

This is the place to go to get your pricey shoes fixed. I would never bring in my cheap(er) shoes here, but if you have expensive shoes, you have to take care of them.

Traffic can be a pain, but there's plenty of parking in the area so it's not too bad.

Went in and left with my shoe in less than an hour. I had a broken heel and they fixed it. Super cheap and right next to sprinkles. Get a cupcake and wait outside.

Thank you for fixing my favorite pair of heels, without charging me more than my actual shoes cost.

Great reviews, recommendations but I have experienced better quality elsewhere. Gave my purse for repair and explained there may be other areas to repair, please check it over since I wanted to minimize my drive and they are the experts. A day after picking it up, 2 other pieces of leather came apart - so they didn't check even though they had it for 2 weeks and my request. Brought it in again to discuss - got attitude and of course another $50 to repair it - and of course more driving.
Not recommended, even the shoes that I had "re-newed" seemed like they slapped glue on it and put it back together. Moved on and closer to home... Avoid if possible, they don't live up to their reputation.

Why hello Arturo. You are so discreetly hidden within arm's length of the equally wonderful Sprinkles, but it is a gem worth discovering.

OK, I am finally writing a review for Arturo's because a kind Yelper reminded me that I had a pair of boots from last fall that I needed to get fixed -- specifically, I need to get the calf taken in. I was quoted $200+ at Pasquale's as well as another shoe cobbler in Beverly Hills, so I was feeling quite a bit defeated. It's not my fault my calves are not the standard 14-15"!! In any case, I walked into Arturo's, dimly lit and cramped, and he walked right out, asked me to try them on, and said he could do it for less than what I had been quoted elsewhere.

Of course, I was a bit nervous because I've never had such a thing done before, but my boots are absolutely PERFECT. Arturo's is open on Saturday's, making it very convenient for non-work days drop-offs and pick-ups. I plan on being a regular once I climb an income bracket or 5.

This place is a hole-in-the-wall type joint in the middle of Beverly Hills.

So as far as their service, they're great. They fixed a pair of heels for $10  and I had it next day.

In terms of the location and ease of getting in and out of the place though--UGH.

They don't have parking that I know of and they are sandwiched on one of the busiest streets in Beverly Hills so it's really difficult to find metered parking when you're running over there on your lunch break in the rain.

Also they only take cash or check. Sort of annoying. If they were in a better/easier location I'd be much more likely to go back.

Thanks to yelpers who trusted their (way nicer than mine) shoes to Arturo's I figured I could bring in mine to be rehealed, cleaned, sole reattached..etc. I've probably brought in a total of 8-10 shoes that just needed to be freshened up or fixed and they did a great job. I also brought in a few purses that again, didn't need a major repair but look like brand new purses after Arturo cleaned them up.

Remember, isn't a shoe repair shop - this is a cobbler. That means old school. Ask for a price beforehand and make sure to hold on to your ticket.

After reading the many positive reviews for Arturo's, I decided to bring in a pair of Prada loafers who's rubber soles were becoming a bit worn. I came back at the scheduled time a week later to pick them up, only to have to wait 45 minutes while they rushed to finish the work they clearly hadn't gotten around to.

When I saw the shoes, I was a bit taken back at how poorly they looked.  The additional vibram rubber was sticking out further than the edge of the shoe and didn't look like it had been added with any amount of care.  It was my first time having this done, so I paid them the $79 they charged and went on my way.

I've since had another shoe repair shop confirm my assumption that the work was rushed, and it should have turned out much better.  They quoted me $49 and guaranteed they would look better  They were right.

I'm sure on a good day, Arturo might do a better job, but after being over charged for shoddy work, i will certainly not be returning to find out.

    This place is the shit.

They fix shoes.  They clean leather.

They set your expectations appropriately about how much of a miracle they'll be able to work on the shoes you've already had fixed 5 times.  Hell, they've even told me when it wasn't worth it to spend the money cleaning a pair of boots.

    The prices are very reasonable.

    No credit cards.

I don't mess with anyone else.

I am sorry to say, I can no longer recommend this place. From five stars to one in a year- so sad.
Arturo has lost the plot. As far as I can see, the flirty older guy who used to run the store is gone and replaced by someone whom I suppose is the real Arturo's son. Anyway, now with your shoes and bags you receive a healthy dose of attitude and NOT good work. Arturo's just ruined a pair of Christian Louboutins which I can never replace by losing pieces of trim from both shoes and claiming that they must have "come off before". Hmm, I would have noticed if the trim was missing when I brought in my $300 shoes to get the heels fixed. They also resoled my boyfriend'sboots and put the tackiest plastic we have ever seen on them, while forgetting to do the heels at all! Amazingly bad work, and again, delivered with snottiness.
One pair of shoes is ruined, one needs to be COMPLETELY redone, we are out $80...and we are going to Pasquale from now on.

When I lived in BH I used to get my shoes shined here all the time. Nice man. One time he came out of the back and showed me a pair of Gucci loafers, they looked like new. He said that they were my size and the person who brought them in for new soles never came back and picked the shoes up. He said give me $25.00 for the new soles and you can have them. WOW $25.00 for a $500.00 pair of shoes. Thanks Arturo.

I really  hate to give Arturo one star, but after the last experience I had there I have no choice.  I've been taking shoe to Arturo for years.  For some reason, this place has gone WAY downhill.  I think Arturo's grandson runs the place now.  Arturo himself is still there, but mainly in the back fixing the shoes.  The problem isn't so much the fixing, but of the way they handle the business and customer service.

I took two pairs of shoes to Arturo.  One my husband's and one my own.  I don't live close by, so the shoes had been there for about a month before I was able to pick them up.  When I got there, it took them about 10 minutes to find the shoes.  They have no real "system" when it comes to storage---they just stick the item in a bag and staple your receipt to the bag.  There's no logic to the system.  Anyway, after they found the shoes, I noticed that they hadn't even done what they were supposed to do on my husband's shoes!  They'd had the shoes for A MONTH!!!!!  WTF???  So, I had to sit there for another 20 minutes while they fixed the shoes.  To top it off, they charged me 50 bucks to fix two pairs of shoes that were not in need of any major work.  Total rip off.

I'm sad to see that this place go down the toilet.  It used to be a very reliable place to take your shoes and handbags.  Stay away from Arturo.  Take your business elsewhere.

You know those fairy tales about elves who have amazing magical shoe cobbling powers, making quick work of busted shoes during the night while the real human cobbler sleeps? I think those fairy tales were based on Arturo. Not that he's an elf, he's actually a lovely old man with a surprising sense of humor, but he works that kind of magic on shoes (and purses too, although I'm much nicer to my purses than my shoes and have yet to need him for that). The prices are good, though be sure to bring cash, and everybody is always lovely and polite. I can not tell you how grateful I am that my office is in walking distance of this place, I can't imagine taking my shoes anywhere else.

Arturo's is well worth a trip across town if you need repairs on shoes or a bag you truly love. And I'm incredibly picky about cobblers! After reading the raves on Yelp, I took my 2 favorite bags & a pair of shoes with a broken heel to Arturo, who repaired all 3 so that they're just like new. One of the bags took a bit longer than he originally told me it would, but that's because he hunted down hardware that looked so close to the broken original, I can't tell the difference. He's a perfectionist & really appreciates women who love shoes & bags.

Thanks to Arturo, I had my shoes repaired for what I would've probably spent on two cupcakes in Beverly Hills!  My shoes started to make noise, as the soles were coming apart, so I went back to the store that I bought them from and they referred me to Arturo's which was up the street from the store.  I was expecting to spend probably near as much as I paid for the shoes but Arturo charged me almost nothing.  Thanks so much Arturo and I appreciate the quality and fast shoe repair!

Are your dress shoes tired and worn down? Leather items tearing or just in need of a facelift? Arturo can make just about anything look as good as new.  I brought in my beloved Gucci loafers and for $80 he gave them new life adding a new rubber heel and cleaning them.  I have brought Tod's, Prada sandals, Miu Miu heels, and handbags here and each one looks fantastic and wears well.  Arturo will tell you up front if he can fix it and approximate how much it will cost, this avoids any surprises when you come back to pick up.  Park in the metered lot off Little Santa Monica.

I cannot argue with the quality of the work done here, but the rude and arrogant treatment I received over a misplaced claim ticket completely nullifies the value of the "old world" craftmanship.   My very elderly mother left a BRAND NEW PAIR of Prada pumps there in July. She buys thousand dollar shoes and then has the heels cut down.  Anyway -- she forgot about them, and by the time she remembered them -- a month or so later -- the claim ticket was nowhere to be found.
We went to the shop and were told they'd have to look "when they had time".    I called three weeks later and was told by Ari that he hadn't found any shoes in a Prada box and that now he would have to go through all the plastic bags and to give him a few more weeks.   I gave him another month and called back and he said he'd been through the tickets and couldn't find the shoes and was not going to have time EVER to look through the bags and boxes... that he had "better things to do".  THis is a brand new, $600 pair of shoes.   I imagine he had already sold them to another customer -- as I see from the previous comments that other customers have purchased "unclaimed" shoes from him.  My mother has been going to Arturo's for years and has probably spent a small fortune there.  It's unconscionable that they would treat an 87 year old, loyal customer this way.   I hope the shop gets bulldozed and turned into a parking lot!

They did a great job fixing a pair of shoes for my wife and with a fair price.

What they really impressed me with is rather than just fixing a pair of my shoes and taking my money, Arturo flat out told me it's not worth fixing and to buy a new pair of shoes.  Which was disappointing because they are an awesome (resoled several times) pair of Armani shoes.

Took them to Shoe Wiz down the street which I do not recommend.  They "fixed" my shoes... They resoled them, but rather than replace the welt that was detached and hanging off, they just glued the old welt back down and got glue sorta all over.  A real hack job.  Once that glue breaks down the welt is going to start peeling right off again I bet in a few months.  Cost me $100.
