Great little place. The chips and salsa are GREAT!
My hubby had to have the Tyson burrito (his name is tyson) - it was BIG and the flavor was very good.
I had the chicken soup - get the cup not the bowl I could barely even finish 1/3 of it. I also had to sample the chicken ench. - AMAZING not dry at all but it does have a little kick.
I think for the price it is a great stop!
Do try it out. -

Tuesday's and Thursday's $1.50 tacos. You can choose from steak, ground beef, carnitas, chicken, or fish. You can't beat them anywhere.
The service here is so-so but they make up for that with great salsa and homemade chips. The entire menu is great and have specials everyday.
You can sit inside our outside on the big patio over looking a blackberry patch. If you are in the area I highly recommend Arturo's. -

What a GEM!! Went there yesterday on my way back from Big Bear. The group was famished, we'd been sitting in traffic, and made the decision to take 18 back into town rather than sit in the endless line of inexperienced drivers. What a fortunate decision!
Arturo's is exceptionally cheap for the huge portions. Salsa and guac were both homemade and fresh. Everything we ordered looked amazing: chile relleno, beef tacos (huge!), california burrito, spanish omelette (including the addition of chicken less than 9 bucks!).
The rest of the drive home we were full and happy. We'll definitely stop there again. -

The enchiladas were fantastic! You could tell they were fresh made and the carnitas were also Very Good. Yum Yum! Finally something that resembles authentic mexican food on the mountain. It's a bit over priced but worth it if you have a craving for mexican. They were very busy at lunch and the service was sorta lacking. Our food took a while to come and the waitress seemed overwelmed. Overall, worth the wait though.

well this place has moved to Blue Jay and what a disappointment. I couldn't wait for this place to open, and when it did bummer. It's where the Old Borderline was next to rite aid and it still looks like the borderline except with some mexican motif thrown up on the walls and throw up is what it looks like. It was closed for a long time so I thought revamping was in order. nope it is still as dirty as it was when it was Borderline. to top it all off My first was with a Hair in the salsa all wrapped up into my chip. I told the girl she laughed and said yuck I couldn't eat here. surprising I still did and let me tell you normally I wouldn't but, I did and never again. The waitress didn't even give us a comp dessert or anything. Then they did the thing I hate most of all in resturants.... they started sweeping the carpet while I was eating. Really? It's just bad don't go there, if you have to eat Mexican go to TOny's which isn't much better. save it and go to Lucy's at the bottom of the hill if you Need mexican that bad.

Two words: food poisoning. What a bummer because the food was actually pretty good going down...
