Best mexican food in the Chicago-land area. Food is consistently great and the margaritas are always mixed well. I enjoy the spicy pork dish. They always have available parking.
Great place to go to after a Chicago Fire game (the are about 7 blocks south of Toyota Park). -

The sign posted above this restaurant (that looks remarkably housed in an old Pizza Hut) claims it to be the "House of Real Meat Cooked on Real Charcoal." (As opposed to fake meat and factitious charcoal.)
But the food here is some of the best Mexican food in the area. They have carry out and large dining room, with beer selections and fairly strong frozen Margaritas, and Mariachi bands preforming on Wednesday nights. Their carne asada dinner is always perfectly done, and their burritos are as big as your head. The menu is rather extensive, larger than what you would normally see at a roadside taco stand.Listed in: Ethnic Eats
