This gallery, located in The Avenue of the Peninsula mall, shows original works by local artists: paintings, sculpture, photography, wearable, decorative.  I used to operate a gallery in Chicago & really hate to be overly critical, but I must also give my honest opinion.  This is a typical artists' center gallery, showing some very decent landscape paintings, but mostly work that is amateurish.  In fact, my favorite thing about the space was the floor!  It had been covered with big splashes of paint, including Pollock-y drips and drizzles.  The floor painting (painted concrete?) is compositionally near perfect, with great use of color and negative space.  I was lucky not to knock something over as I circled around, observing the ground.  It has nice texture, too, so I was compelled to lean down and touch.  (I was not allowed to take photos.)  The receptionist seemed to take it all in stride, herself being an artist and thus understanding that we're all half crazy, especially in the presence of visual stimuli.
