When my wife, Alison, and I went through the process of choosing a wedding photographer, we had a clear vision of how we wanted our special day captured. We wanted someone who could find the natural beauty in the setting, had an eye for picking out the best shot, and would truly let us be who we are (no lame poses). We also knew that at the end of the day, our pictures are what we'll have to remember the event. All that said, when we found Artisan Events and met with Tina, we had a good feeling we found the photographer who could fulfill our wishes. When the day came, our "good feeling" was 100% affirmed.
In the midst of the madness of the day, Tina brought a level of comfort to Alison and I, letting us enjoy the moment and truly be ourselves. She and Danielle (our second shooter) conducted themselves with such professionalism, being accessible at all times while never disrupting the evening. And when we saw the shots for the first time, I can only say I was blown away. In each shot, I could feel the emotions all over again. She and Danielle (our second shooter) were able to capture us in such a way that we actually relived our wedding day sitting at our laptop. We chose Artisan for their style - artistic photojournalism - because we wanted the shots to showcase the surroundings and the moment as much as they showcased us. What we got far exceeded our expectations. Tina has given us the ability to remember our wedding day in the most vivid and stunning light. We could not be any happier. -

My husband and I worked with Tina from Artisan Events for our wedding this past October and I cannot say enough good things about her and the studio in general. On the logistical end of things, everything about the studio is professional and efficient. On the photography end of things, Tina's photos of our wedding were stunning and managed to capture the emotion of the day, while also looking like artwork. Their albums are true masterpieces, which is what made us choose them in the first place.
Tina also has the absolute perfect personality for a wedding photographer. She's friendly and pleasant to be around, while striking the perfect balance between offering her professional wisdom and asking for your input. All of the obligatory altar photos following our ceremony were timely and efficient, to the point that even our wedding party raved about Tina and her colleague (whose name I unfortunately can't remember but who was a joy to work with as well).
We are so happy with the photos from our wedding and our entire experience with Artisan Events. -

I had Artisan Events shoot my engagement photos and wedding. They did an excellent job! They took a wide variety of phots, and I enjoyed their documentary style much more than the typical portrait style of other photographers. Tim was my photographer, and not only did he produce an excellent product-but he was nice to work with, kind and energetic-which was great on my wedding day! He ended up shooting some impromptu BEAUTIFUL shots at the end of the reception of us, he had original ideas that ended up being priceless.
Tina has been very helpful to me picking out pictures, albums, frames, holiday cards, etc even though I've been unforgiveably undecisive!
They recently moved into a new space near North/Clybourn, I highly recommend them. -

We met with Allison from Artisan. Her work is amazing... We ended up picking Pen Carlson Photography, but Artisan was in the top 2... I would recommend looking at her work for your wedding photography.
The only con: she seems more expensive than other photographers.. but to be fair, she does have a lot of experience! She is definitely a pro. You know that if you hire her, you will get great shots. -

This place is a class act. If you are looking for photo journalism styled wedding photography or baby portraits definitely check out Artisan Events. Amanda, the owner, has set the bar very high. The album styles range from actual bound books to more traditional albums to mini, purse-sized brag books. She has a lot of great photographers working for her which offers some variation in style and price levels. A friend of mine hired Amanda to shoot her wedding, she had 2 additional assistants capturing the event making sure not to miss a thing. If your not looking for a photographer she has a boutique that sells beautiful albums, stationary, frames and framing. Pricing is on the high end but you get what you pay for and in this case you get extraordinary photography and album design. http://artisanevents.com/

I employed Artisan about three years ago to do some still photography for my web site. She and her partner Tod Szewczyk we simply amazing. They handled an office staff of 19, guiding each member through the litany of head shots, group shots and more. On top of the exquisite work, they were simply a pleasure to work with. The shoot took almost 5 hours in incredible heat and we received nothing but patient direction and professional work. Since the shoot, I have worked with Tina and Lindsey to manage the production work and coordinate with advertisers and web-site developers. Again, nothing but exceptional, professional work and successful outcomes.
Artisan and Amanda have been singled out by national publications...but more importantly, by each and almost every client that has worked with them. Check them out. They rock. -
