Wonderful massage with great results!
Sandra is terrific; I highly recommend her. I went to her for the first time several years ago, hoping she could reduce the persistent pain in my neck and shoulder... and she did! She got results that visits to the chiropractor did not produce. I asked that she work only on my most problematic areas and she followed through with intense, deep work which proved to be VERY effective. She knows how to find the most problematic spots. She has extensive experience, which includes training here in the States, as well as abroad in Thailand and China. So, her work reflects many different styles and she will accommodate what you want. She is a sparkly, delightful personality. I highly recommend Sandra! -

Sandra is a guru of massage, very talented and thorough. I received a 1 and 1/2 hour hot stone massage from her after my sister's dual lung transplant. Needed some decompression time from the crazy weeks visiting UCSF. Massage and technique were great. Midway thru the massage, a fuse popped and the music and stone heater went out. Then I began to hear all the noise outside of the room, conversations, foot traffic etc...Despite the change of harmonious scenery, Sandra continued on and gave me what I needed.
Cheers to her and I look forward to visiting her again when I return. -

Sandra is so in touch with the body it is amazing! I've been to many practitioners over the years all using a variety of styles. She has managed to draw from all of the best and apply an expert approach to realignment. Enjoy!

I subtracted a star from what would have otherwise been a 5 star massage because Sandra put down an incorrect time for my appointment. I went for my 3:00 appointment and then was told she mistakenly put me down for 5:00. However, she did make up for it by giving me an additional 15 minutes to my appointment.
She really is an excellent therapist and I would recommend her. She worked out all the knots in my shoulder and back and had excellent firm pressure. The yelp site says she works Sundays. She told me she does not..

Went to Sandra last night because I've been having some lower back pain and, well, who doesn't want a massage?! All I can say is WOW! Sandra gave me one of the best massages I've ever experienced! Here's the breakdown... the room was cozy, warm, smelled wonderful and I liked the sound of the small water fountain. The "bed" was super warm and I really liked the soft blanket. A nice change from the usual scratchy sheets I've had at other places. I told Sandra that I'm not a big fan of deep tissue, but want my knots worked out. She massaged with the perfect amount of pressure. I was totally relaxed and in heaven, all the while she was working out my stress. When she was done I was knot free, my lower back pain felt so much better, and in addition to being totally relaxed I was in the best mood ever! Of course, getting a massage always puts me in a good mood, but I was just plain happy! I really can't say enough about Sandra... you just have to go get a massage from her to understand. I usually treat myself about once every other month to a nice massage and now I've finally found a regular masseuse!
FYI though... she doesn't accept credit cards, so make sure you've got enough cash on hand! -

Sandra is such a gem of a find in this city! I've had my share of massages in San Francisco, both at home studios and spas, and I must say that my best experiences have been at Sandra's place. She really listens to what you tell her about your body, and her years of professional experience shine through with her knowledge and use of various techniques. I love how she incorporates hot stones! You'll just have to try it and see what I mean. Once again, my body feels healthy and happy. I can't wait for my next visit!

I HIGHLY recommend Art of touch to anyone looking for a therapist in San Francisco. Having only had massage work done at larger spa facilities previously, I was skeptical of attending a smaller practice. I was looking for a therapist who could work around my busy/unpredictable work schedule and perform quality therapy. I was lucky to find Art of touch massage therapy (therapist-Sandra Leiva). She has made me feel completely comfortable in her private practice massage studio, and has been able to schedule appointments with me last minute, and during off hours, which is a dream! If you're looking for a legitimate, caring, reasonably priced, QUALITY practice in the city, you have come across the right place.

Simply put: Sandra's awesome! When I look for a massage therapist, I look for someone that has mastered a variety of techniques - both Western and Eastern - and is able to mix and match as needed. Sandra is that person. Also, she's pretty flexible when it comes to scheduling appointments (something I probably take advantage of a bit much) and parking's super easy. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED IN ALL CAPS!

I go to Sandra for deep tissue massage. I can't think of a better way to describe my satisfaction with Sandra than to say I have been going to her for over a year for a monthly massage. She is professional in every respect but is not aloof. She is warm and has strong confident hands. I enjoyed the hot stones. Sandra is a masseuse who has mastered her craft.
